In answer to the ONE bad review. The lady walked in talking with another customer and just sat down,most new people would stop at the desk, so I am very sorry I assumed they were together and didn't check untill I finshed the person I was working on.The new lady was very early so I wasn't looking for her. No excuse still for not speaking to her, but at the time I was very sorry.As for not taking cards the bank fees are pretty high and since we are within a block of three banks we felt it was better to forgo the cost and pass the saving on to the customer.

I went to Downtown hair because a good friend of mine has gone there for years and they have always done a nice job on her hair. I was home from three months of AmeriCorps and walked into the salon quite early for my appointment. No one greeted me. I sat down. I waited. And waited. No one asked me my name or when my appointment was. Finally 30 minutes later I asked if I could possibly get in earlier. A woman said yes and took me back. She spritzed my hair with water and began to trim (all I wanted was a trim so that was a plus). She cut my hair dry, she did not wash it, dry or style it. I was going to get my wedding hair done there and that changed my mind quite quickly. I was furious by the time I left. Oh and they don't take credit/debit cards. Prices are not posted. I really hope others have a better experience

This group is really nice, great location, and have a great sense of STYLE! Always up on the latest trends, and the prices are very competive. I highly recommend Downtown Hair!

I've been using this business for over two years now and have never recieved a bad haircut. The girls that work there are easy on the eyes which is great for us men!! they also had seperate sections for the cutting of hair and the coloring of hair which gave you a sense of privacy. if you've ever had your hair bleached and rolled up in tin foil then you'll know what i mean. the business was very hip in it's look and design and had cool music playing too.
