This place was awful. The karaoke sucked, the servers sucked, the bouncers were disrespectful. I'd recommend Hula Hula on 1st Ave. North instead. The drinks I had were mostly soda with a splash of liquor. Not worth your time. At Hula Hula

I had an ok time at the bar, but I left my card open at the bar. When I came back the next day the waitress working there was incredibly rude. She refused to look upstairs for my card and told me to come back in 2 days when the waitress from Saturday night would be working. I was just trying to get her to check again, and she was soo nasty. I think that even if she did see my card she wouldn't have given it to me.
This is compared to a on the hill that searched all over for my boyfriend's phone when he lost it. UGH, there are better bars around seattle.

Pros: There's booze

Cons: Horrible wait staff

.

This is a nice bar to go to as its near the seattle center so can be good for pre or post events. Its large with an upstairs. There are pool tables, and often karoake or live music. They also have all the condiments available to add to pre made bloody marys so its almost like a bloody mary bar. Good service is a plus. Can be a little noisy and can get crowded, but much easier to find a table than some of the nearby places.

Staff was ok but the management was horrible. Manager was drunk and obnoxious. Never go there.

Pros: None

Cons: Many

Recently visited for a birthday gathering. A little too crowded for my liking. Service was just okay, I guess they were busy so waiting 20 minutes for a drink was to be expected. I did like that they had karaoke though.

My friend got kicked out of the bar for kissing another guy she had met. Well, the bouncer decided to kick me out too because according to him, "it is easier to kick out the group, " in his own words. Tave, who was our bartender, was being a fantastic bartender up until my friend was kicked out and then Tave completely did a 180. He humiliated me in front of other customers for being inebriated (which I wasn't), and said he refused to even discuss giving me an itemized bill. Tave said that I "clearly needed the money more than he did." I felt like I was in the twilight zone with all the disrespect and poor customer service. The bouncer, Mark, who kicked out my friend for kissing the man in the bar turned out to be the protagonist in the bar. He even paid for my drink that I didn't get to finish due to Tave's rudeness. I was really impressed with his chivalry, but very disappointed for Tave who got away with his rudeness. I didn't leave a tip, althought I wanted to tip Tave up until he pulled a Mr. Hyde on me.

Like many others have mentioned on this forum already, Ozzie's has the worst staff I have ever encountered!

My buddy and I walked in this evening (July 2, 2009). The doorman was rude to my buddy and argued with me about the authenticity of my 2008 Texas drivers license. When i offered to show him my other IDs he started hurling slurs at me. I'm not sure what his peeve was -- whether he didn't like my face or the fact that he was getting some sadistic pleasure turning away someone who had a Texas ID.

I asked to talk to his manager and he forcefully (he was 3 times bigger than me) moved me out and shouted out that this was a private place and it was up to him whom to allow in. Further he said that I should "return back to wherever I was from". I will never go back and will share this message across all kinds of social media with the hope that everyone else avoids this place as well.

I've been regularly going to Ozzie's on Friday nights for about 8 months now.
I've found Ozzie's DJ Deana and Waitress Nina to be awesome. Ozzie's Karaoke is a blast. The staff always take care of the customers in a timely manner even if the place is wall to wall people. The customers at Ozzie's support each other when they are up there singing. It's a really warm and friendly environment. The staff is always circulating to make sure customer's drinks are filled and their food is the way they like it. Their fries are great. The staff takes the time to remember your name, your drink and even asks you how your week has been. The song list is fairly extensive. The wait time even on a crowded night isn't bad at all. They have two Karaoke bars, pool tables etc.

I think it's just a great place and I encourage everyone to check them out.

Pros: Great Staff, Great Music, Great Food

.

Problem is the staff treats you horribly (allowing you to order that last pitcher at 1:15, a half hour before the legal stop time on Seattleites drinking) at 1:17 they come by and yell "Get the F*!?% out!!" Confused, you may ask, "What?" Any one of their bouncers, however nice you may think they may be will get in your face and yell, "Get the F#$% out!!" Umm...okay. I thought this was a cool place...kareoke, pool, photo hunt...not so much but I may be persuaded to come back, not so sure why.

So you try to support their business on a Wednesday night...Kareoke might be a fun treat for your out-of-town guests...Ozzie's staff clearly has a different idea. If you sing along with any other singers, that girl (who brought her own cd to sing along with) may complain at which point, you will be asked to leave (you and your group of 12 business providing singer/friends) by the ever so kind, Ozzie's staff because you were singing louder than the girl with the mike. Since when did casual kareoke become American Idol? That's my question. Have you ever particpated in kareoke, sister? Yeah, people sing with you. What's the deal? I know...it's super offensive to have anyone else sing your tune but get over yourself; you sucked in the first place!

Case and point: Ozzie's: not a cool place to go if you enjoy fun of any sort. They also are many cue and eightballs (website said b@lls was inappropriate) down. My brother and I have tried to play pool a number of times but they always seem to be missing the full set. What's with that?

Moral of the story: stop going to Ozzie's. They are not nice and clearly do not like business. Why do we continue to go there? This question is a mystery to me. Let's stop the madness. Get new influences in Queen Anne. Ozzie's is not the place. Inappropriate and altogether rude and spineless staff...what's left to ponder. Quit Ozzie's, go to Floyd's, Peso's or, if you're hungry, grab some Dick's. We don't need any other dicks in the neighborhood.

When my partner said he wanted to do karakoe for his birthday, I said ok, then scrambled to find a spot. Asking around, several people told me to check out Ozzie's. They were right! We had a great time. I called a couple days in advance to make arrangements for our party of 12. Ozzie's reserved tables in the upstairs karakoe room for us (they also do karakoe downstairs). We started our party early, around 8 PM. There were relatively few people then, so we got to dominate the microphone. Kevin set us up with every karakoe song we could think of. And Josie and Rhianna kept the drinks flowing. Cindy was amazingly helpful in reserving the tables and making sure we were taken care of. We will go back!

I think this place is hands down the best place for Karaoke- beginners and experts will feel at home as the friendly DJs keep the tunes rolling. I had an absolute BLAST here for my 26th birthday- had it in the bar room upstairs. Robert, the new manager, was very attentive and made sure I got a good spot and let me bring in balloons and the whole works. We started out kind of shy at the microphone, but by the end of the night it was one big dance party and we had made a bunch of new friends. Unlike a lot of places in Seattle, I have found this is an easy place to meet people and make new friends! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some affordable quality food and drink and very fun entertainment. And its a great place to host your birthday! Go to Ozzie's! My friends and I are already planning our next Ozzie's night!

I had the best time here! I had my birthday party there in the upstairs room and it was a blast. The manager and bartenders wer very helpful and it was great service. We all had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend throwing a party there or just going there any night! The karaoke is great and so much fun!

I had a blast at Ozzie's! Everyone at the bar was friendly- if you want to make new friends this is a good place to go. As far as the karaeoke- the crowd loves to sing along and is more than forgiving of the occasional tone-deaf drunk. However if you're any good- that's even better, the bar will go crazy.

I started to write a book about this, but decided I needed to keep it short. I had a blast both times I went to Ozzie's, and would encourage anyone with a decent voice to do the same. From what I've seen they're just as gracious to those that don't sing as well, but if you do sing well you'll bring the house down and suddenly find yourself a bunch of new fans.

I would especially like to thank the three gorgeous girls that thought I'm good enough to take my talents elsewhere, one of whom introduced me to a new treat; the Washington Apple. I hope you know how beautiful you are. By the way, has anyone ever said that you resemble Yasmine Bleeth? Cheers.

Pros: I got to sing, even though I showed up pretty late.

Have you ever been to a frat party with bad lighting, bad music playing way too loud from crappy speakers, every surface is sticky with who knows what, every dude looks like a level 3 offender, and the only way to drown your disappointment is to get blind drunk and make out with someone in the corner? Like the dudes who threw the party only have one thing on their minds (well, two if you count getting drunk first)... Why do people go to those parties? And why do they go to bars that are even worse?
I'm not trying to bash the people that go to this bar, I was there with some good friends of mine who told me they liked the place... I just don't understand the allure of a dirty, smelly frat party when you're not in college any more.

Pros: No nonsense

Cons: Loud, dirty, crass

.

I have been to Ozzie's many times now, and let me tell you, people have hot and cold reactions. Some people perceive it as too buzzy and meatmarkety, and others really feel at home there. It is pretty diverse until late at night, when it takes on a bit of a frat boy vibe. Overall, it has a good mix of people, who aren't trying too hard. People are overtly friendly here, without making you feel like they're trying to take you home. Derek the bartender is so worth the trip, makes great drinks with lots of entertainment value. The soulless, pinched female bartenders are absolutely worthless, and I avoid them.

Karaoke here is a blast, but you have to have a sense of humor if Luke is working. He's got the cynical, oh-I'm-such-an-emasculated-punk-boy thing down, and he will bust on people in his trademark droll drone at every turn. He's an asss for sure, but that's his schtick, and it's funny enough to cut through the drunken stupor. You can find peppy KJs anywhere, but he's an original. He has a sense of fair play if you tip him when making your request. Other than that, people pretty much seem to sing in order every time.

Oh - and only eat the food if you are drunk and starving.

Pros: Friendly, easygoing atmosphere, Karaoke every night

Cons: Can be rowdy, some of the waitstaff, long wait for Karaoke

I went to Ozzie's on Saturday night to try out their karaoke for the first time. I hadn't done karaoke since living in San Diego 6 years prior and had googled the best Karaoke in Seattle and Ozzie's was at the top of the list. We were hungry when we got there so we sat in the diner/bar area first for food and the waitress was great, food was what you would expect at a diner. Then I put in a song selection for the Karaoke and proceeded to wait 2 hours. If you have an unlimited amount of cash then this is where you want to go to sing. They have a huge selection of songs. For those that are a little cash poor (like me) but have vocal talent that needs to be excercised (also like me) then choose another venue. In this location money talks and talent walks. Even after my husband tipped the KJ and he promised to put me up in the next 3 I heard him mention my name about 5 singers out and then it kept getting shoved back again and again and we finally just left. If you actually have some vocal ability I would recommend going elsewhere so you can actually get put into rotation. I have never seen such a lack of professionalism in a KJ host as I did on Saturday night. Bottom line....he was an a**.

Pros: Good Bar and Wait staff, Good song selection if you have the money to pay to sing

Cons: Unprofessional Karaoke host, limited seating in Karaoke area

Ozzie's is always good for an after work drink. Kind of on the pricy side, especially paying a dollar per game for the crappy pool tables, but the bartender after six (Darrick) is the most awesome bartender ever! Strong drinks, big smiles, smart ass comments, and remembers your name (not to mention TOTALLY hot).... He makes anything that could be potentially crappy about ozzie's totally unnoticeable. He rules.

try the teriyaki burger. it's delicious. although it did take awhile for anyone to pay attention to us after we were seated, the waitress did make up for it with her cheery disposition and good looks.

As someone who's done karaoke in about 8 states, I've gotta say that Ozzie's is one of the best places I've been. If you're looking to sing, go on a weeknight and you'll have ample opportunity. Weekends are super crowded so get your drinks from the bar. But believe me, if you want great service, frequent the place and you'll get the best ever!!

ozzie's is one of those places where you visit once and never want to come back again. the crowd is just overwhelming. such vicious people. inside, you find yourself rubbing against tons of people. the drinks are not even made all that great. and the karaoke. you are really lucky if you actually get the mic. i actually think that the person in charge of the karaoke was being very selective on who gets the mic.

I love the recent remodel of the place, the balcony is great for a warm day. The happy hour prices are great for a good pizza, not the best, but hey its cheap. They are known for their good atmosphere, get there early for a table in the evenings.

Ozzie's has Karaoke 7 days a week, which is what drew us there on a Sunday night. The bartender and KJ were less than enthusiastic. I can only assume because of being busy the previous two nights? Aside from that though, the clientele were VERY friendly. We ended up having a really good time. The KJ did play some 80's tunes and people were singing some 80's and old Standards which was cool. I'd say go there for the friendly people, not the staff.

I brought my buddy's batchelor party to Ozzies and they set us up in the VIP bar upstairs. Very cool. The bartender poured strong ones all night. We even had our own private restroom!

I was looking for a new place to sing karaoke. A friend recomended Ozzie's. I owe him dinner: The doorman opened the door for me. The hot little waitress found me a table & took my order. The Karaoke hostess (part-time model for Victoria's Secret?) set me up with a fat book of tunes. The manager lit my cigar for me and got a special ashtray. The cheeseburger and fries was $2.00!! Girls were dancing, people were singing along, THIS is the kind of night I want every night out to be.

I used to frequent Ozzies before it became one of the most overcrowded and badly dj'd karaoke bar that it is now. You can definatly have a good time there, but I would stick to beer and/or alchohol straight up in order to have a decent drink. ( they tend to skimp on the mixed drinks) Unless you are so drunk you don't care, I wouldnt recommend ordering any food. Also, one more thing-if you don't smoke you may want to avoid this place. It's a bit hard to breath and you end up smelling like an ashtray.

Pros: laid back, pool in back room

Cons: , overcrowded, very smoky

It looks kinda dirty when you get inside but I am so glad we didnt leave. The food is wonderful and our server whose name was Tristan (for future ref.) was so friendly and laid back. The service is pretty slow due to lack of servers but the food is so worth the wait.

Pros: Great food, Low prices, Friendly waitstaff

I went here with friends for karaoke. The room is pretty laid back and feels almost like a living room. The song list is a bit on the small side but overall it was a fun experience.

Used to drop in here for a late night drink after work. Bartenders are good and remember regulars. Karoake DJ could be better. Asking for tips = Not cool. Packed on weekends. Plan on waiting a couple of hours to sing. Haven't been in for a while. Wanted a $5 cover last time in. Passed on that.

Ozzie's has great intentions. The Happy Hour looks great, the bar is extensive, they have a very networked social space. But for the massive crowd of people (120+) that were there for Karaoke on Tuesday - they had four workers! The DJ charged us for the Karaoke - she had to bus, cocktail, Dj, and clean up the messes off of the floor. Drinks were inconsistent due to no one knowing their stuff, and lines were slow and long. Get a clue before you lose everyone! And get a bigger better selection of karaoke choices!! Sheesh!

Live in the area, and with all the fancy pretty people places to go to, it's nice to know there is a least a place, where you can be yourself. I never had a bad time there ...

Ozzie's has the worst staff I have ever encountered! From the minute I walked in the door the bouncer was rude and that pretty much set the tone for my entire evening there. I will never go back!

You will have fun if you avoid the Karaoke..the DJ is terrible. He will let the regulars sing and is always begging for money...pathetic really. If he was good and let other people sing I would give him money. But the bartenders are fun, drinks are great and the crowd is always in a good mood. Just dont try to sing.

I went to this bar with some friends on a Thursday night for a midnight snack. It was like sitting in an ashtray with really huge speakers. The cigarette odor was stale and overwhelming and the karaoke was poor and deafening. We ordered a pizza. It took almost 45 minutes to arrive and it was worse than what they serve in public school cafeterias. The DJ allowed the same five or six people (including himself) to hog the karaoke microphone and they were all horrible, horrible, horrible. We left a huge tip for the waitress out of pity. I mean, really, a grown woman in a cheerleader skirt waiting tables in a dive to a bunch of people who can't wait for their turn to sing "My Way"? Too depressing.

Ozzie's serves a great breakfast menu (they also serve lunch and dinner, though I've never tried them). And the prices are very reasonable. I especially recommend the omelettes, which are big enough to satisfy the hungriest in your group. Located near Seattle Center, it's a good place to bring visiting family and friends. A great restaurant during the day, a hopping bar at night. What more could you ask?

if you want to get drunk enough to do karaoke, go somewhere else. it'll take about 8 of their mixed drinks to give you a buzz.
their waitstaff is different every month, so what does that tell you?

I haven't been to Ozzie's in the evening, but I have been here for the breakfast in the morning several times. It is a bit dive-y, but is never too busy (you get seated right away) and you can choose where you want to sit! We usually have the same waitress and the service has always been good with her, and the food is decent. It's cheap and the menu selection is pretty good. They do, however, have a tendency to mix up orders with over-easy vs. over-medium eggs at the same table, so beware! Note, this is not gourmet food.. just yummy old-fashioned breakfast food if you're too lazy to make it yourself.
