Excellent School
by Sally S.
I received excellent training from Stylemasters College of Hair Design and I could not have achieved this without the wonderful instruction from the experienced Instructors and staff. They took me from having no skills to having the ability to pass my state board exams with no problems and obtaining employment immediately upon completion of my training. The Instructors have high expectations from the students: Attend, attend on time daily, dress professionally (yes you must wear socks you might want to check with salons and quite a few require this as well!) and act professionally. School is reasonably priced I took the time to shop around before making my final decision. They also offer a trial period of 2 weeks to make sure you want to attend. I have yet to see that offered any where else.Licensed and Working!

Do yourself a favor and do NOT enroll here
by Spa g.
If you are looking for an education and career in cosmetology this school will NOT get you there. The instructors have NO interest in educating the students - they make it clear they are there for the paycheck (which they constantly complain isn't enough) they do not want to be bothered by students. They are rude to the students calling them freaks or losers. If you can manage to pull them away from online shopping, taking care of personal business, lengthy personal phone calls or primping each other or there family/friends you will pay for it. You will spend your days doing perms and shampoo sets, nothing modern or current (most likely because the educators are outdated). Daily the "administrator" and I use that term loosely goes on power trips over socks, daily duties and other ridiculous things. They actually hand out reward passes that allow you to go without socks for a day and her workspace is the most disgusting and unorganized place in the building yet she will waste extensive learning time throwing her fits (I believe to cover up her incompetency in her job) when she is in a bad mood(mostly all the time). She actually gives lectures about the exact number of towels allowed in the washing machine at one time. Don't try to get help from her regarding student loans or issues with your tools. This school is overpriced and a waste of time. Do yourself a favor research schools very closely and go to Vancouver or Portland. They have better instructors, are run by people familiar with the beauty industry and less money!

Guru
by Lori S.
It is my concern that some students at Stylemasters are not very professional. This makes the teachers, the college itself, and anyone who financially supports the college look like fools.
Come on girls, show respect where respect is deserved. Your teachers and Stylemaster college deserve to be shown more respect than that.
