Reviews for 24 Hour Fitness

Ratings_icons 24 Hour Fitness is very convenient

I think it is great for people who have to work crazy hours like me. Very thoughtful of whoever thought of it. It is also great for those who can't sleep to get up at anytime and go workout.

Ratings_icons A sub-par health club that has the basics......

Yep, the 24 Hour Fitness health club in Lakewood, WA isn't anything to write home about. It is located in the Lakewood Towne Center amidst a ton of other retailers like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, GI Joes, Old Navy, Safeway, and etc.

However, beyond it's location the actual club leaves something to be desired. Sure, it has the basics of what you would want to see in a health club, but that's it. They've got a limited selection of the cardio and strength machines and freeweights, but if there was an influx of members at any given point and time, then there would be a shortage of what you could workout on. There is also an aerobics room, a tanning bed, and a sauna (in the locker rooms).

Another minus to this club is the low ceiling to the place. Comparing this to the 24 Hour Fitness and Las Vegas Athletic Clubs that I had been to in Las Vegas isn't quite fair as both of those facilities are far superior to the Lakewood club.

And the cost? Well, paying about $35 for a all-club "sport" membership is nice and all if you intend on visiting several clubs, but since the Lakewood club was the closest to us at the time, it didn't make sense to drive a longer distance to another one. In my opinion, this club is worth a $15/month fee and not anything more.

PROS:
CONS: Too few machines and low ceilings.
