Cons: little $$$

i went to see the highly talked about men's store the Industry when i came to this store in the same little building. it was so nice to see women's clothes kind of hidden in the back of the hallway. the style is so urban and black, just the way i like it. very eclectic. only bad thing is it was so hot in there, but other than that, i love their collection of black clothes!!!! def a must go see

Jill is the owner, but she's also your best friend in this store. She always knows exactly what is going to look good on me, and is awesome at pairing things together, adjusting fit for your shape... I could go on and on, but if you're looking for personal attention and an amazingly friendly atmosphere, you can't go wrong with Impulse. Jill does a blog, too - it shows modeled photos of all of the stuff in the store - I subscribe to the email updates and usually end up picking something up online as a result. The return policy is always kind - in-store credit , but a lot more flexible than many boutiques. Definitely a must-hit if you're in the area!

Pros: Friendly staff, Good return policy, Great Selection, they will reimburse for parking

Cons: hard to find (underground) and pricey

Impulse (formerly MPulse) has grown up over this past year. Now the looks are more sophisticated and classic while remaining innovative and fun rather than the crafty feel it started with. APC, Bourne and Vivian Westwood are some of my favorites. Jill and her staff are always honest and make us feel at home while we shop. This store is truly one of Seattle's best kept secrets!

What's great about M:Pulse, is the fact that most of its clothing is made in the studios on premise. And I really do think that the clothing designer are some of the best in Seattle right now. Thier products are not only unique, but they are actully proffesionaly done and made to last. Some of thier skirts are absolutley gorgeous...more than worth a trip to Fremont.

m:pulse is located in the heart of Fremont, and for me it's biggest draw is it's variety and uniqueness. Jill is the owner and a great supporter of local artists. The design is fun and artsy, as well as functional. You get 2 stores that have art/clothing/gifts/accessories/furniture, as well as a cafe and art studios all in one space. The cafe is called m:cafe and the second store is called Built. Check it out and support independent art AND a local business. There are art openings and other events sometimes at night, too. Check out their website www.mpulseart.com.
