I highly recommend Patrick's Hawaiian Cafe. This family owned cafe has the best Hawaiian food in area. I had the teriyaki chicken and it was the bomb. My wife had the Kalua pork and it tasted just like what we had at a Luau in Hawaii. We had a couple of Mai Tais too. Service was outstanding, portions were huge and the prices are affordable. What a nice change from all those run of the mill restaurants. I like them so much, I'm having them cater our daughters wedding this coming summer.

I went to Patrick's Hawaiian Cafe for the first time the other night and was so amazed with how good the food was. It was delicious! I had the Luau Special which was Kalua Pork and Teriyaki chicken combo. And the service was impeccable. Patrick, the owner was there and it was nice to see that he takes pride in what he does. I was born in Honolulu, and his food is so authentic, just how I remember growing up. Large portions, great price, outstanding service. Absolutely the Best Hawaiian Food in the NW!! I'll be back!!

If you are ever in Vancouver and want to have the best Local Hawaiian Food in the NW, you gotta go to Patrick's Hawaiian Cafe on Mill Plain Blvd. He does it right. Patrick, the owner was born and raised in Honolulu and does a wonderful job. Great food at affordable prices. Lunch and dinner specials are offered. Happy hour from 3 to 6 daily. Live music on the weekends. He catered my daughter"s wedding and did a wonderful job. I strongly recommend Patrick's Hawaiian Cafe

I've been going to Patrick's for years and I've always had pleasant experiences. The food is always delicious and portions are generous, and prices are fair (most dinners are around $11, and they have cheap lunch specials and happy hour). They have nice live music Fri-Sun which makes for a great experience. We love this place so much that they're catering my wedding next month!

My daughter's 15 birthday was last Saturday, although she wanted to go to her favorite Hawaiian restaurant in Orchards, I talked her into going here as we had never tried it before. Our total party consisted of 7people. This was possibly the worst experience we have ever had for a birthday celebration. The service was extremely slow and that's an understatement we were there for 2 1/2 hours for lunch and not because we were having a great time. We ordered onion rings and calamari for and appetizer, although the onion rings looked great-they were tasteless, the calamari strips rubbery, the meat,(both Chicken and beef), was so fatty on all platters we packed it up to feed the dogs and stopped for fast food on the way home. The deep fried Maui-Maui was also rubbery. The menu was very overpriced and the waiter and waitress unfriendly. I would not recommended this restaurant to anyone unless you plan on treating you pets.

My husband and i recently ate at the Hawaiian Cafe for our first time. Everyone there was very cheerful, and all posessed very good customer service skills. Our servers name was Dezarae, and she was great. She was always coming back to check on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. She was very sweet and professional, and very helpful throughout the evening. Not to mention, the food was great, and the portions were more than enough. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. TWO THUMBS UP!!

My husband and I attended the Hawaiian Cafe for the last time about a week ago. We have be loyal costumers for about 3 years now. In the past few months the service there has gone down tremendously. The servers are very rude now. They rarely refil beverages, and it is almost impossible to reach your server or any server at that when you need them. If you ask someone that is not waiting on you for help, they rudely reply that they are not your server. One server there with long brown hair always seems to rush us. She just drops off the food and doesn't return unless it is with our check, even without asking us if we would like to get dessert, which usually we do. We have also ordered drinks from this same girl before, and i am almost positive that she is not of age to be legally serving alcohol. I'm not sure what is happening here, but something needs to turn around with the employment.

Now the food is a whole other story. The meals used to be great, but now they seem to be skimping on the portions. My husband has recieved raw chicken numerous times, and when he asked to have it re-cooked, the plate returned with the same rice as before, so it sat there while recooking the chicken and became very cold and hard. There has been times when i have sat at booth by the windows of the restuarant and i have heard every single word that come out of the back kitchen. They seem not to take their jobs very seriously, they laugh, talk a lot, and even curse.

I hate to say this patrick, but your restuarant is not the same and my family and i will not be returning after our three years of your service. I will no longer speak highly of your cafe, and i will no longer refer people to eat there for a once was wonderful meal. I hope that you can make some changes here to return to the old Hawaiian Cafe that i once loved.

I have gone around eating at all the hawaiian places here in Oregon and there is only one I would go will not mention it because we all know which one that is, me and the family decide to cruz to the couv one weekend and decided to eat at Hawaiian cafe, I did like the place mats, pictures, and shirts on the walls, but the place was really cluttered, and really dirty.Patrick's daughter was really nice to us.that is the only reason why I gave this place 2 stars, food was really below average, my food kalbi ribs was burnt and the teri beef that said on the menu that it was thin slice rib eye was tuff as nails, teri glaze was heavy in consistancy almost like gravy, mac salad had better, mahi for the price we paid you think there woud be more thin piece, very pricy the bill ended up to be 3 adults 2 kids 1 beer 2 packs seed, and some gum plus tip $76. wow!! I would not make a drive like that again for there food, was not worth the gas..... Sorry

Pros: hawaii's seeds and candies, pictures and signs from Hawaii

Cons: where do I start wait the prices!!!

If you do not have time to spare, this would not be the best place to go. Lunch hour is a bad time. We pre-ordered and it still took 25mins to get our food served. No refills for drinks including water unless you ask... and that is, if you find the food attendant. Good luck in doing that 'coz it took me 6mins to get one at our table and another 6mins for them to return.

Went to Patrick's Hawaiian Cafe last night on Sunday on Mother's Day....at 8:30pm we were the only two people in the place at one point...I brought in a coupon for $8 off, and it did not say anything about not being able to use it on Holidays, etc, only that must be used on a Sun-Thurs, however the waitress with the California valley accent, completely refused to accept it, stating that Patrick printed out another coupon about a week later saying that it cannot be used on Mother's Day, even though my coupon did not have any stipulations like that. Usually you do that when you expect a place to be busy but we were the only two people in there at one point and she still wouldn't honor the coupon, stating it was Patrick's orders. The service has also gone downhill since we first went there. The waitresses now smartly talk like they work at the Gap! THANKS FOR THE EMBARRASMENT PATRICK. IN ORDER TO SAVE PENNIES YOU SKIP OVER DOLLARS!!....YOU HAVE NOW LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER, MY FIANCEE, OUR FRIENDS, OUR FAMILIES, AND INSTEAD OF REFERRALS, I WILL SHARE MY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES WITH EVERYONE I MEET. YOU CONNED THE WRONG PERSON PATRICK! I DON'T JUST ACCEPT LOUSY SERVICE LIKE MANY OTHERS DO AND DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. YOUR CHEESY COMMERCIALS AND FAKE SMILES CAN ONLY GO SO FAR! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO MAKE UP THE EMBARRASSMENT THAT YOU HAVE CAUSED TO ME AND MANY OTHERS WHO CAME IN ON MOTHER'S DAY AND GOT THIS LOUSY TREATMENT! PROBABLY NOTHING....

After returning from Maui, we were happy to find a really authentic Hawaiian restaurant so close to where we live. The food was good, the prices here are reasonable and the decor is extremely charming , with surfboards and other things Hawaiian. Service was a little slow, but hey , maybe they were trying to replicate the unique island culture!

This Hawaiian Caf located in Vancouver has authentic Hawaiian meals. They have several lunch specials each day. The noodle soup is good and very filling. The dcor makes is like a little bit of Hawaii and they are always playing Hawaiian music. The dining area is nice with both booths and tables for seating. Fun place to go especially on a cold, rainy day.

The decor was really fun and the live music was a plus as well. Unfortunately the location is just to small to really allow for conversation if the music is going. The food was acceptable. The helpings of meat were generous but the quality was not what I was expecting, but it is traditional fare. The side dishes were simple, rice and corn. If you go, order the specialty ice teas.
