I have been going to Nancy Navarrete for a little over a year now and will go to no one else. I went in and she welcomed me with a great smile and took me to clean my hair. She asked what i wanted and gave me the exact haircut I wanted but better. To top it off her prices are very reasonable. I was exceptionaly happy with my haircut and will be going back soon for a very long time.

I just moved to the seattle area about a year ago and have been on the search for a good hairsylist ever sense. You would think in a large modern city it would be easy but I have had to worst luck, but then i was referred to Holly at Obadiah salon.... Thankgoodness cause I have never had such amazing highlights and cut Ever.. not even back home in LA. She got me really blonde with out destroying my hair, like most do, and she even took time to talk to me about the future of my hair.. love this girl. cant wait to see her again

I had booked this bridal hair trial a week in advance and was told it would take an hour but when I got there the hair stylist thought I was there for a hair cut! she put me thru a hair wash then she spent nearly 45 mins curling my hair w/o a curler (just a hair dryer, brush and clips!). quite a few times she asked me to sit further down into the chair or slouch because she is too short to reach the top of my head (Im 5'4" - that's already short!). so after all that and putting my hair into a "cooker" she comes back in 2 mins to inform me that she needed to rush thru the curls because she was already 15 mins behind! my appt started @ 230pm and it was now 345pm and im in the cooker for another 3 mins. then she asks me to sit further down again! what if i had issue w/my back?? then she really did rush my hair! she gave my hair lots of body which i didn't mind! before we even started all this i specifically said i didn't want the braid to be incorporated into my hair but laying on top of hair and what does she do?? she braids it half way back into the hair!! im told the products are supposed to stay in my hair and keep the curls til the next day (my hair wasn't exactly curly when i left). It was already flat when i got home (oh i left at 4pm!!)

My sister has been seeing Stephen the last year. When I moved to Bellevue from San Diego I knew I could trust my sister because she is a hard one to please and so if she recommends someone she got excellent service. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me about Stephen at Obadiah. She was recommended from a friend she worked with at Eddie Bauer.

He listened to what I wanted. I really wanted to go a little darker. I have dark eyes and blonde hair and I had seriously damaged my hair from all the bleach over the years I have put in it. So he changed my blonde hair to a beautiful chocolate color. I couldn't believe how much color it put back in my face and changed my damaged hair to soft and shiny.

I am a very happy client and I am looking forward to my next visit to Stephen. I am grateful my sister told me about him. I love my new hair color!

Cons: parking - although I have to admit I came at a busy time (Friday night) - maybe its better at a different time of day?

Thanks to reading reviews on City Search I found my new stylist Stephen! I moved to Seattle from Santa Monica recently and didn't know if I would find a great stylist that is great with color and cutting. I read that he was great with color and it was right on. I basically asked Stephen what he thought would look best and Stephen changed my dirty blonde color to the most gorgeous chocolate color with honey highlights. I like short haircuts but never had the guts to cut my hair from shoulder length to around the chin. I took and chance and had him cut my hair like Victoria Beckhams haircut. I love it and am having a blast with my new haircut. It is really easy to style and go.

When you have no idea what you want to do with your hair, color, style etc - GABE is the man at Obadiah who resolves all the mysteries. I have been seeing Gabe now for over 9 years and he has literally transformed my hair style. His attention to detail, personality, and ability to give you what you need is beyond reproach. If there is anyone that wants to make a change to their hairstyle regardless of where you live in the city you must see Gabe.

Apryl has been doing my hair for several years. She always comes up with styles that keep me looking fresh and hip. She has amazing personality, and she always takes time to listen to me. I recommended her to my family, and friends who can't stop raving about her. I feel like a hair pimp, I recommend her so much. If you get your hair hair done by her ask her for the figure 8, it is the best head message you will ever get while she is shampooing you. Another fun thing she does is word of the day, if you get it you get a prize, I personally never have gotten it, but I think the word is pay me (lol). She does great color, great cutting, great listener. She is Apryl. Take the Apryl challenge you will not be disappointed when you leave the salon.

I have had the same cut and color for years, I always ask for a change but nobody will go there. I always leave looking the same or if I get a change I can never manage to create the same look...until I met Gabe Walton! He is not just a hair stylist he is a hair God!!! He is fluent in color, design ,and styling. He spent time talking to me about what I like, my comfort level and what I can and can not do in the styling department. From there he gave me a cut and color that flattered me and educated me on what he was doing as he styled so I could look just as great every day after. He is a true talent and so very charming too!

Gabe cut my hair last week and I have to say it was the best haircut I have ever had. Not ony was he so professional but charming too. I left feeling gorgeous and have had so many compliments on my hair since then. Go see him and you won't regret it!

Serenity Wallen is the creme del la creme of the haircutting world. She has such vision when I come in to see her. When I see her every two weeks or so, I say Serenity my hair is your canvass lets make art. And she does. She is an inspiration to the hair world, and mine. Heres to you Serenity, the best damn stylist around.

I had no idea what to do with my hair - it was long, frizzy, and I always wore it in a ponytail, and rarely colored my hair (maybe like 3 times in my whole life got it highlighted to switch it up). My friend recommended that I go see Stephen - she had been seeing him for 5 years and I always loved how her hair looked - so stylish. She said I really needed a change. I went to Obadiah and loved the salon. I met Stephen and he took me back to his station. The thing I really liked about where he was located in the salon was that it was in a more private area of the salon. The main floor was packed with people and seemed a little louder (nothing wrong with that - just not me). I loved feeling the great energy in the salon but then having a nice peaceful surrounding to get my hair done. Stephen foiled my hair a beautiful blonde/honey color. I loved how it brought color to my face and brought out my features. He took the length from the middle of my back to a cute bob like Katie Holmes hair. I have incredibly thick hair and I always had haircuts from other people (definately NOT Stephen) that looked so choppy and never blended well together. Stephen took the time after blowdrying and flat ironing my hair to go through and dry cut and take weight out. That made such a huge difference how my cut and color looked. I loved my whole experience seeing Stephen from the salon, where his station was located, head and neck massage, and especially Stephen's hard work on my hair! I don't know what took me so long to do something different with my hair but I am so glad I made a change. :) Everyone loves it, especially me! :) This is very new for me getting attention with my hair but I am having fun with it!

I recently saw Stephen and I am blown away by his expertise! I have never had so many compliments on a haircut! It styles so easy! I wake up and don't barely need to do anything! He told me he trained at Vidal Sassoon. So he knows how to give a very high fashion haircut but easy to manage (style and go!). I am very busy so I don't have a lot of time to style my hair so it makes it so easy to just get up, get ready, and my hair automatically looks great! I had Stephen do my foil too and I absolutely love the color! My friends and husband tell me they have never seen a prettier color on me (I have beautiful reds mixed with honey and chocolate-coolest color)! Stephen told me the color that would look the best - and he was right! I feel so much more confident. Stephen took me from boring to high fashion overnight! I am a very pleased client and would recommend everyone to see him! If your unsatisfied with how your hair looks - you NEED to see him. I have seen a complete transformation with my hair and I am so happy with it! You will like Obadiah Salon too. The front desk is always helpful (you can tell they pride themselves with great customer service), and I like that it always feels busy! I hate walking into boring, dead salons. This definitely is not like that. Fast paced salon! Fun atmosphere!

I have been a client of Holly's for almost six years, and let me tell you; the girl is magic! When I first went to see her, I had the most boring hair ever but didn't know it...and when I left, it was as if I had the best makeover of my life. From cut to color, she can look at you and recommend the combo that brings out the best of all of your features. She has taken my hair from brown to black to blonde highlighted and red streaked, from bobbed with bangs to asymetrical and layered, and I have loved every single look. I normally let her choose what she thinks will work best because I know that she will always pick something great and fun that I would have never thought of... and she has never proved me wrong! I even drive to Bellevue to see her once a month even though I live in Fremont...she is the best stylist in the region, hands down. Go see her and prepare to look like the new and improved you!

Can I just say, Stephen is the best stylist I have ever been to. Just did a complete transformation with my hair and I am more than IMPRESSED! Stephen is not like a lot of stylists I have seen who are prideful and arrogant and do what they want to do and don't listen to what you want. Stephen listened to what I wanted and gave me the cut that best shaped my face. It is like I lost 15 pounds with the great cut he did! Not only can he cut, the color he used made my hair feel healthier and was so vibrant! He just did it and I have had so many compliments on the brillance of color! I won't trust anyone else now with my hair! I have to tell everyone! See Stephen you will be so blessed!

My friend referred me To Amber at Obadiah Salon for a hair cut and ever since that first visit 5 months ago I?ve been going back for color and more hair cuts and I love it their. The atmosphere at Obadiah is great; everyone is so friendly and welcoming!!! Amber is the best stylist out there because she listens to what you want, gives you her advice and never rushes you. I?ve always felt so relaxed there!!! I also love the bumble and bumble product that Amber uses on me ever single time and I?m finally getting some. I?ve always been so cheap with salons, I never wanted to spent more then $30 on my hair cuts or even color but after my first visit at Obadiah Salon I?ll always keep coming back , even though it is a little pricy but it?s worth ever penny with AMBER!!!!!

I have been seeing Stephen for over 4 and half years now, and I won't trust my hair with anyone else! He always takes the time with me to make sure I am completely satisfied with my color and cut. I have really thick hair and he not only takes the time making it look absolutely perfect but he also goes back through it to fine tune it more and take out weight. I LOVE that he is a perfectionist! You want that in a stylist! He also is a great listener. He always gives a 5 to 10 minute head and neck massage. My headaches have gone away many times after the shampoo. My color always looks amazing - and I get compliments on it even when I need to get it done (sometimes 10 weeks later with growout). I am always amazed at how vibrant the color stays even a few months later and I have red in my hair one of the worst colors to fade quickly but that NEVER happens since I have seen Stephen. Words cannot express my gratitude that I found him. AMAZING stylist! I always get great service with the front desk and there is a high energy in the salon. I love it.

This spacious salon occupies the entire floor. The hairstylists are very skilled and often have creative ideas about your hair, if you don't. The only drawback is, the prices are very high, but then again, this is a "high rent" area of Bellevue. Check it out for yourself. It's a full service salon and if you've never been, it can be quite tricky finding the place.

I just had to take a moment to write about Shamra at Obadiah. I've gone to Obadiah on and off for about 7 years. It's a reliable establishment who hires professionals who know their hair.

What moved me to write a review? EXCEPTIONAL talent.

I am a difficult client. I am quiet when unhappy. If I don't like my hair I know it will grow and I move on.

To make myself even more difficult- rarely do I want a "text book style". I usually have my own ideas and I have a tough time articulating them. My thick, cowlicked hair has been the plight of many a stylist. Shamra is exceptional because she not only knows how to cut hair- she really knows how to listen. I walked out of there with the sassiest, easiest (dare I say sexiest?) hair! It is EXACTLY what I wanted and you won't see it in any magazine.

I might be shooting myself in the foot by raving about Shamra but greatness deserves recognition.

Cons: No hair magazines or books out in waiting area (my little pet peeve)

After being a client of Obadiah for years I have to say that I love this place. I see Holly for cut and color and she gives me what I call " Victoria's Secret hair". Just recently they have done a fabulous remodel. The hair stations are much more private and quiet. You forget how large the place really is.

I have been seeing Holly for my haircut and color for about a year now, and ever since i met her she has done nothing but right. She always treats me like i'm the most important person in her chair and believe me when I'm done I look and feel fabulous. I can't tell you how great my color looks ever since she's been doing it. I also have some frizzy texture to my hair so i often have to flat iron. She had suggested a thermal relaxer and i can't tell you how it changed my life. My hair feels healthier and more shiny than ever. She did an awesome job. Now all i have to do is dry my hair w/ a paddle brush and my hair is perfectly smooth and shiny. If you always flat iron your hair i reccomend getting a consultaion w/ Holly, she's the best.

I went to see Serenity yesterday afternoon looking for a clean cut (I wanted to look good for my boyfriend's work holiday party). I asked her to try something new and try and get rid of the damaged look to my hair. I have very fine hair that hadn't been cut in awhile (about 5-6 months) and I felt like a mess. She offered suggestions, such as giving me a sideways baing (sorry for the misspelling, apparently citysearch won't let me submit and calls it an "inappropriate word"), which I was skeptical about. But I decided to try it anyways and she made it long so that should I feel it wasn't the look for me, I could tuck it behind my ears and it would grow out easily. The baing looks awesome! This morning, I woke up and my hair looked great without even styling it! I simply parted my hair on the side (never done it before, always did in the middle) and the baing really made me look stylish!

Color- I asked her about her recommendations for color, which I was considering but wasn't quite sure I was ready to invest another $70 for. I had only done highlights before (caramel blonde) and she suggested a brown slightly darker than my natural hair color with a tint of red. The color brought so much vibrance to my hair and actually takes away some of the thin look to my hair! (as she had advised). The color of my hair also brought out the red of the brown dress that I bought right afterwards for the holiday party (a color I would never have worn otherwise- I always wear black)- a pleasant change and surprise!

I don't usually post anything on citysearch because I've been going to several salons and testing them out, never finding someone that surprises me. Serenity did. She was pleasant, offered suggestions (about the hair cut, the color, and the styling), knew what she was talking about, and didn't waste any time. Thank you Serenity!

Finally! My search is over! I have gotten the best color and cut of my life. So many compliments feels sooooo good! Cat was the best, she did my color and was fun to talk to and it turned out exactly how I wanted it..even better. Kelly cut my hair and made it lay so perfectly, I didn't think that was possible. The salon is very nice and everyone was very friendly, highly recommend this salon!

I absolutely would not recommend this salon to anyone who is concerned with hair color. My blonde hair was done by one stylist who overcolored it and then she just said"what do you want"? walked away and handed me off to another stylist who did not know what she was doing. I was in SHOCK when the towel came off and my blonde hair was now DARK ASH GRAY. She tried 3 times to fix it ( I was in salon 4 hours) and I finally was concerned it would fall out so told her to stop and dry it and I got out of there.and cried!!! I called salon owner who eventually refunded my money. After going to a new salon to try to get my blonde hair back to a normal color, I was told it was impossible. My hair had no pigment left and it would be 6 months at least before I could work with it. This salon should NOT allow stylists who have no background with color..

Vu has been cutting and coloring my hair for the past couple of years now, as he came highly recommended through a friend. Not only is he wonderful, but he does an excellent job with my hair--which is by no means easy. I have referred many friends to him--all of which have vastly different textures of hair--and they have all been very pleased. He is versatile and has a range of experience that shows through in his work. I will continue to come back to him again and again.

Holly is the best hair designer in town!!!! Hands down, she is great. I was nervous the first time she did my hair because I'm bi-racial and wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. Well she calmed all my fears and gave me the best hair I've ever had. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great stylist.

I have been going to Serenity for my hair for a year and a half. I was in need of a change, but didn't know what I wanted. She created a beautiful cut and highlights that get me tons of compliments even weeks after I have seen her.

Which is exactly what I wanted. So i went to see Holly with picture in hand and she truly emulated the hair style! Not only did she take the time to show me step by step how to style, but she also got me into the propper styling products. I love her so much that I actually had her do my hair for my wedding!!!!!!

I have found this salon to be a one stop service from simple trims to what I'm really excited about eyelash extensions, its pretty much a salon for everyone! Beautiful decor and calm settings make it a great place to come and relax and be beautiful!

Professional and talented is the crew at Obadiah. They pride themselves on doing fabulous hair in a comfortable environment and with quality products, without any of the pretense or outrageous prices you might expect to find at a high end Eastside salon. Apryl has been my stylist for over 6 years and not once have I left without getting obscene amounts of compliments on my hair even weeks later. Book an appointment with her now - you will be glad you did! After your services at the salon, head upstairs for a drink at Daniels, or downstairs for chocolates - what's not to love!?

I absolutely loved my experience at Obadiah. I was in the market for a new "do", and I decided to make an appt. with Holly who I had heard so much about. In the end, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect cut or color! Never in my life have I received more compliments on my hair; I mean women were stopping me in elevator! Holly is warm, professional and a lot of fun, and she made my experience there a great one. Also, the staff was accomodating and friendly, space is very comfortable, and their products (the high end Bumble and Bumble line she used on my hair was amazing!) are awesome. Parking is easy and they validate, too. I have already recommended this salon to a number of people, and will continue to do so! Thanks Holly! Great job!!

I go to Obadiah salon for multiple services: highlights, cutting, waxing, massages, and facials and permanent eye brow curling. All what they do is great and all the people I have met there are friendly and very knowledgeable. Their product is the latest and best on the market.

For my wedding this year I got both hair and make up done at Obadiah and it was absolutely perfect. I didnt know what I wanted and they came up with awesome creative ideas, scheduled the preparations and I didnt have to worry a bit.

Finally, I have found the best hair stylist! Holly at Obadiah listened to me talk about everything I do not like about my hair (and face), then explained to me what she thought would look appropiate. She did exactly what she described and I love it. I have not been happy with my hair or any hair person in years and I have no problem driving all the way to Bellevue to see her. Her station is private, and I felt very comfortable and not on display, like at every other salon in the world. Obadiah has a true asset in her and now Holly has a loyal client for life! Thank you Holly!!!

I go to both Vu and Osha for my hair at Obadiah, and absolutely love them. Vu has a great energy and has fantastic suggestions when you aren't really sure what you want done with your hairstyle. He does such a great job that my mom has started to get her hair cut by him too (we have opposite hair types and he does a great job).

Osha does unbelieveable highlights. Usually uses 2-4 colors to make your hair look very realistic - I can't even remember what my 'real' color is after going to her for so long - I'm now convinced I"m actually a blonde! :)

The salon also has top of the line stylists if you need 'up do's. I just got married and entire bridal party had hair done there (Jeanne, Holly, April, etc). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been trying to get my hair a particular shade of blonde since high school(a very long time ago). Holly, my stylist, listened carefully to what I was asking for. I have now the most beautiful shade of blonde that I have always wanted. She is very skilled,confident, and fun. The service all around was very friendly.

I usually only have my hair done at Obadiah ... by Kari (fantastic stylist) and have for the last 2 1/2 years. I just recently received a deep tissue massage which was wonderful. I think the salon is great .. the people are great and I highly reccomend Obadiah to any one who looks for quality! They also will validate your parking fees.

I just got highlights done by Osha and she was great! When she first did my highlights, we had a slight miscommunication and the color wasn't quite what I wanted at all. But she booked a re-do appt. for me right away for the next day, fixed it and now its perfect! Re-do at no charge. She does 2 of my friends' highlights and they are all great!

I had an excellent first visit with this salon. They offered a discount since I was working in the same building and the hair stylist was great! I've already gotten 2 compliements so far!
