We took the whole family, including our daughter who is in college to a late lunch. They sat our large party of eight, and served us the usual chips and salsa, but the chips were not the normal bag chips you get at other "Mexican" restaurants, but you can tell they were home made. The salsa was flavorful but was not as spicy as we like it.
The meals came out, and the portions were very large. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant was very clean, and our server (who was the owner) was hospitable and attentive. The food was well worth the trip from Olympia. We will be back

A wonderful little Mexican restaurant near the PLU campus. We always have great service and the food is not too expensive. I would highly recommend!!
4This is a fabulous little place. The owner is entertaining and diligent in providing good service and great food. Take your friends. You'll be back time and time again!
5Reyna's is a fun Mexican restaurant in the heart of Parkland. Situated along Garfield street, just a block from the Pacific Lutheran University campus, it has some of the best Mexican food around. I'd really recommend it for lunch, especially. Felix and Reyna are a husband and wife team that make your dining experience a lot of fun. I have even been in there while Felix is singing. He has a great voice.I ate my favorite, Crab Enchiladas and was not disappointed. Its a nice place to go to watch the game and just hang out on a Saturday night. Never gets to loud, and most of the regulars are from nearby, mixed in with the occasional student taking their visiting family to dinner. It is comparably priced with most other Mexican restaurants.

Reyna and her wonderful family will treat you like family if you give them the chance. Warm and kindly service, casual atmosphere, reasonable prices for generous helpings. Superb tortilla soup. Be sure to order some of the family's special version of nopalitos (seasoned cooked cactus), a tasty vegetable side too seldom seen in Mexican eateries stateside. Lovely, bright flavored chile verde is a good addition to whatever else you might want to order.

Being the closest Mexican place to PLU, I've been here quite a few times, usually out of a lack of anywhere else in mind and me not willing to fork over 45$ for a ham sandwich at NPCC.
SO many times the staff has refused to honor their entertainment card offers, web-offers and even their coupons which they advertise in the PLU school newspaper! The new staff there doesn't speak english very well and they add miscellaneous charges to your bill and then argue with you for a while before they take them off.
The food here has always been so-so, especially since they use El Monterey frozen tamales and then heat them up in a microwave (the ringer here was when one inept waitress brought it out with the plastic wrap STILL ON IT).
Do yourself a favor, avoid this and the other Garfield-garbage. It's too bad the school is building its new bookstore down the street forcing students to go by all the overpriced, trendy shops in a neighborhood known for violent shootings, knifings, muggings, and sexual assault. Try and walk by Reyna's if you are dumb enough to go to PLU.

Pros: close to campus
Cons: everything else
This is my favorite hole in the wall mexican restaurant. Everything I've tried there is delicious, plus a warm atmosphere.
