A good place to avoid if you want to be treated like the restaurant wants you as a customer! I have frequented this establishment several times in the past because of convenience. It is overpriced and they have poor to somewhat rude service. Today was the worst. I arrived to a fairly packed restaurant. With three empty tables I was the first in line to be seated. Subsequently three groups of two entered behind me. After waiting ten minutes, and having watched the three groups of two being seated before me, I was left standing there with no open tables left so I left and will never return! Don't put yourself in my situation.

Pros: Place is nice

Cons: food was terrible

This place used to be good but now has new management.

The short story is I got a hair in my meal, restaurant manager was rude, tried to convince me it was not a hair. I email the regional manger and the customer service department. They never respond but thy did give my email to the person I was complaining about so they could send me rude and insulting emails. In my opinion it was totally unprofessional for the management at What The Pho to have the person I was complaining about send me rude emails. I will never step foot in one of there restaurants again.

The manager had this to say about me calling the HD about the hair in my food.

""I'm sorry you have so much time on your hands that you would call the HD.""

Apparently they feel reporting health violations is unimportant and a waste of time. I guess What The Pho does not feel the HD's role is very important.

The pho was good, the pork spring rolls were awesome. Mmmm... bbq pork... Service was good, stir frys are pretty good. Interior is clean and generally comfy, never had a problem with service. The main drawback is the small parking lot. Convenient location in bellevue though.

We just moved to the Bothell area and discovered that there is a What the Pho right by our house. We love it soooo much. We go there usually once a week and we never get sick of it. I switch back and forth getting chicken pho or the Wok Fire Grill...#71 and 72. I like the lemon grass stir-fry with chicken and the basil one with steak. Their food is very fresh and healthy. I think we'll go tomorrow....we crave it!\r
Oh, and don't forget to get #3...the pork spring rolls for an appetizer.

Walking in the feel is more brushed metal than bamboo. The atmosphere is sleekand modern and nothing like a stereotypical pho restaurant. This would not bad if the food more closely resembled traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Unfortunately I walked away asking what the pho was that... The broth was tepid and noodles still uncooked. If you have ever had true Vietnamese coffee you would be ashamed, it was oily and burned and most likely a canned immitation.

My friend & I were there for lunch and we both got diarrhea right after we ate there. We got stomach sick the whole afternoon that day. I called the restaurant to tell them what happened and all they said was "sorry". If they are polite and can provide good customer service, they should at least tell me to come back and give me a free drink or desert, or give me a discount next time. I will never go there again.

How many restaurants in Seattle & the Eastside give you a great atmosphere, friendly service, highly quality food, table side service and great prices? Hmm, the list is short, so I can put What the Pho as my Number #1. Maybe there has not been enough competitors in the past or restaurantors have gotten lazy and greedy, but this restaurant delivers great service, tasty food, excellent Vietanamese Food, awesome atmosphere for fun or a client meal. Also, Pho restaurants in general - most of them are very distinct...the word ""seedy"" comes to mind or dirty - What the Pho provides a polished, chic environment for those of us who want to have a great dining experience. Wake up Seattle and the Eastside - chain restaurants are not the only ones that want repeat customers - What the Pho proves that there is a restaurant that really cares about giving great service and food - a concept I thought got lost to Vegas and California.

Pros: Enroute to shopping at Bellevue Square & easy for client meetings, excellent food & service

Cons: There is not yet one in Seattle :(

I love this place, my girlfriends and I meet here about once a week to catch up and eat dinner. There is one waiter who always waits on us, he doesn't need to ask what we want anymore, he just asks if we'd like the usual. We started going here because it's healthy and affordable, we continue to go because we're welcome, our water and tea never goes empty the service is prompt and the soup is always delicious.

It okay, nothing spectacular. Its cold in the restaurant during cold winter days, so if you don??t like cold place eating hot soup, don??t go there. The reason I??m writing this review is because, their service is not up to par. Once I order a dish to go, and found out the dish was not right, called the manager, told me nothing he can do except apologize. I would have preferred he??d offer me to bring the dish back. There is no true customer service here. Just a smiling faces and apologies.

Maybe its location influenced its decor. Right in the middle of NE 8th, a block or two away from Bell Square, sits a modern styled pho joint with relatively good food. Its a large deviance from the drab places I've gone to, and believe me..I've been to many. \r
\r
Their pho is a little overpriced, about $6.00 a bowl, but if you factor in the gas in order to get to Than Bros, it's worth it. (you don't get cream puffs here, you can't even order them..I guess you'll have to make that trek if you want 'em). I ordered a vegetarian stir fry dish before, hat was pleasing. And a noodle bowl, not that great but it did the job. They had beer there, so it made up for it.\r
\r
Overall a cute place to get your pho fixins.

Pros: Yummy Food, Prompt Service, Best Pho Environment Yet

Cons: Lack of parking

Pho was pretty tastey. I just recently tried one of their stir-fry dishes and it was great. The rice could have been a little more cooked, but edible and the stir-fry made up for it. I talked to a gentleman seated next to me and he gets this dish almost everyday. It was the Stir-fry with Basil. Service was better than most pho places. Also, the interior was clean.

pho was not bad but the prawn dishes for dinner served up only 5-6 prawns each (at $9-10), and they weren't even deveined. granted there were lots of fresh vegetables, but seemed rather pricey. would be ok if you just went for the pho (5.95 small, 6.95 for large). they must cook the pho to order because it took a long time to show up at the table.

What the Pho is located in the heart of Bellevue and is consistenly busy with either their dining or take out. But we've never had to wait long for a table. The restaurant is very clean and the service is polite and helpful.

The prices are reasonable and fairly inexpensive as their portions are large and filling. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've never been disappointed.

Our favorites are the charbroiled chicken with vermicelli noodles and the curry chicken with vegetable.

And just to add if you like black tea they have that instead of water and it's not bland or cheap tasting found in some asian restaurants.
