.

I had a blazer dropped off to have its sleeves hemmed and explained how I didn't want to pay more than $30 for it. The lady helping me said she'd estimate around $20 and would give me a call if it turned out to be any more than that....she said she had to ask the seamstress herself.

A week later, I went in, having received no phone call, I assumed they went ahead with the service only to find out that the blazer was simply sitting on the rack with a note saying "pending approval"

The estimate turned out to be $36 but I had received no call. A different lady phoned the manager who turned out to be the first lady who helped me. She simply said "oh that's right I was supposed to call him". I needed that blazer that week and was then told not only would I have to pay $36 but that I'd have to wait another week and a half. I asked that they at least discount it for me since I had to wait so long...

The manager, once again, said she'd call me the next day.

I received no phone call and had to come in 2 days later to finally find her in person. She immediately gave me an awkward and disgruntled look and told me that the seamstress was supposed to call.

Finally she gave me a meager 10% off and still had to take it for a week and a half.

This was the manager!

How much effort does it take to run an automated dry-cleaning shop like that?
