Best pizza around, no kidding, it is fantastic! I wish i could eat it everyday I LOVE IT SO MUCH! It has a unique old time pizza flavor. But the worst service ever, the rudest and most unfriendly staff I have dealt with in years!

I was looking for some good 'pasta and salad' as they had advertised on their sign. I used to love the food at Bimbo's downtown and was hoping for some good Italian pasta dishes - silly me. I ordered a salad ($4.50) and spaghetti with meat sauce (around $8.00). I asked for the dressing on the side on my salad and what I got was a salad totally DRENCHED in salad dressing and then topped with about a half a package of shredded Mozzarella cheese!! Just what I had in mind - NOT. When the spaghetti and meat sauce with "garlic bread" arrived, I was equally disappointed. I could have stopped at Safeway and picked up a can of Chef Boyardee, and the bread was a glorified hot dog bun with very little garlic in the butter - what else can I say? Oh, yeah, the drink was great!! I would not go back and I would not recommend to ANYONE except perhaps my worst enemy. The biggest waste of money I've spent on food in years!!!
Who knows? Maybe their pizza is ok.

Best pizza ANYWHERE!!! It's great to have a restaurant that doesn't just follow in everyone else's footsteps. I haven't had a pizza this unique in years. The cheese was fantastic and the toppings were incredible. Their side salads are wonderful, as is their cheesy bread. On Fridays, they have the best clam chowder in Tacoma!! The staff are wonderful. Many of them have worked there for years and take a great deal of pride in their restaurant. They don't act like "employees," they act like they own the place! If you just want fantastic food and aren't worried about "atmosphere," this is absolutely the best place in Tacoma. Can't wait to try their deep fried ravioli!

Not a shock that this bar has the highest DUI rate in Tacoma. Mean staff, dirty environment and rancid food. A perfect place for AA meetings. It is a travesty to over serve to this degree, but why else would you go there? I saw a Cockroach running up the wall and thought...we are not in Kansas anymore. YUCK

Tried a thin crust - three topping pizza the other day. While they piled a bunch of toppings on, the crust was soggy, the onions overbearing, and too expensive.
Will I go back, no!

Fantastic pizza. Better than any chain pizza place in town. There is no better pizza parlor in Tacoma. I've lived in Tacoma since 1973 and I know of no better pizza place in the county.

It's no wonder this place has been around for 30+ years ! A local favorite with a unique flavor all it's own. They don't skimp on ANYTHING . A great place for all ages , complete with a jukebox for your listening entertainment while you dine on some FANTASTIC pizza .A little pricey- but filling , you will most likely need a take home box.

Spud's has the worst pizza I have ever tasted. This surprised me because I always see a lot of cars out front. However, I quickly learned the big attraction was the bar because that is where everyone was. The pizza was equal to cardboard slathered in sauce and cheese. It had grease dripping off of each slice and the crust served as a sponge to mop up the grease in the pan. As if the food wasn't bad enough, the price was way too high for the quality of food being served. I wouldn't recommend them at all!

First thing you see when you order anything from Spuds... toppings and ALOT of them!
For example, I just ordered a 3-meat pizza and you cannot see the crust for all the meat and cheese piled on it! There is seriously more meat than crust on this! Nuts! And tastes great! What a real pizza is supposed to be.
On the other hand, the large 3-meat cost $30.
Overall, a great amount of food, but a price that's not exactly a value.

The best, greasiest, cheesiest, most delicious cheese bread in Tacoma! I'd go here just for that! The pizza is great and the atmosphere is nice for families and large groups. Get here for game nights and enjoy drink specials. The service here was great, it's self-order and pick-up on busy nights so be prepared to wait a bit. Otherwise, excellent.
