My family lived here from 2004-2005. While there, parking, safety, noise, trash and poor construction were all problems. Rude, obnoxious and some downright hostile tenants were a big problem. By all accounts (on this site and others) it's gone even further downhill since then.
We renewed our lease when we were offered a bigger apartment in a safer building for a very good price. Two weeks after we signed our lease, we were served with a notice to get rid of our pet or get out...by the very same person who approved the pet! We elected to move.
Now we are preparing to move to a new town, and our new apartments have notified us they will have to disapprove our application...because of an unpaid rent charge on our credit report from the Madison. Not only did they try to charge us over $2000 for breaking a lease they gave us the option to, they never notified us of the erroneous charges. We had no idea this was on our credit report until we applied for our new place.

This is BY FAR the WORST apartment complex I have ever lived in! The upstairs water heater flooded my daughter's bedroom twice, our stuff never gets fixed in a timely manner, and the children never have any adult supervision. Several times my daughter has been physically attacked, and management is apathetic. Cars are often broken into, there are always police in the parking lot, and women cannot walk outside alone or they will be harassed. I have never been so uncomfortable in my own home. Don't let the "luxury apartments" sign fool you... if you think police helicopters and shady characters outside your window at 3am is luxury, go ahead and move here. Oh, if you decide to break your lease and move your family somewhere safe it will cost you a thousand dollars. Take my advice and STAY AWAY.

I would not recommend living here at all! It's not safe and the neighbors aren't respectful at all. Just in the time I have lived there, the popcycle man was beat up, my car was broken into, my backpack was stolen, people stand outside and harrass females, kids have gone missing, our neighbors apartment burnt down, someone crashed into a carport and collapsed it on top of another car, the police are there more often than they're not, the apartments aren't very nice, police helicopters fly over often, and the water taste terrible!

My family lived here for 2 years when we first moved to the Seattle area. We lived in to different apartments since the first one ended up getting toxic mold in a bedroom that was making my son sick. They moved us into another bottom-floor apartment quickly but I don't think they cleaned the mold properly in the old apartment. The staff was always friendly and helpful, but the plumbing constantly had problems. Our sink overflowed twice ruining a ton of my kitchen supplies both times (and this was due to the upstairs neighbors!). We also had ants in our first apartment that did not want to go away. I really felt like I was living in poverty here at times even though they looked nice. Cops visited frequently due and the final straw for us was when a police helicopter was shining lights above our building and into our bedroom window in the middle of the night!! It was a little scary and then a little upsetting when no one told us anything about that night. The pool was closed often as well due to too much chlorine. They do offer 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom apartments, which is nice. But try to get a mid or top floor apartment since the bottom floor is a bit underground and is more likely to get water build-up next to it and then give you some mod in the bedrooms next to the dirt.
