Obviously there is a reason I want to go back there, every year, for my birthday. I love the atmosphere, I love the food, and consider it a treat.

I go to the one on the South Hill, though.

Pros: Delicious Food - Love the House Salad

Cons: didn't see any

Sometimes sudden success can be a bad thing. Just dumped about $200 there for a mother's day meal. There were 10 of us, and we made reservations long ago...they seated us at a table made for 8 facing the parking lot, in what appeared to be a walkway. We asked for the view, they said no, and the staff could really care less. Asked for drinking water about four times, and we never did get it. My nine year old fit my entire $22 halibut "special" in one hand and still had half her fingers showing. Had to go through the McDonald's drive-through afterward. First time taking the inlaws there, and they never even got to step foot into the dining room or saw the alleged view...which is why we had picked this place to begin with.

Pros: Didn't get a chance to see any

Cons: Overpriced and overrated

The staff is friendly and hard working, the decor is wonderful. The atmosphere is laidback and pleasant. The man-made pond by the outdoor patio is a nice touch. I was told that they even went as far as populating it with a variety of fish and insects in order to create something of a new eco-system. A bald eagle has even settled in the area, which makes for some nice dinner time visuals!

The food is fantastic in comparison to the other restaurants in the area (mostly cheap fast food hamburger and Mexican chain restaurants). The signature house salad, the "Insalata Mista", is especially tasty. The cocktails at the bar are delicious, and they don't try to scam their customers by watering down the liquor like other local competitors (cough *FIZZIE MULLIGANS*). If you want a non-pretentious, decent quality dining experience in the north Spokane suburban wasteland, look no further than Twigs! You won't be disappointed.

Pros: Wonderful dining considering the other options in the area

Cons: A little overpriced, but not unreasonable

Dimmed lights and elequent decor is the least of Twig's fancy service. The menue, drinks, and pleasent waiters/waitresses are by far the best I have encountered. My favorite time to come is in the summer and eat out in the patio where they have a beautiful pond to eat by. This restaraunt is not a Spokane restaraunt, but seems like one that would be in a bigger city (I'm a travel agent). Try it out, I assure you'll like it!

Pros: Food, desert, marini, good design, people are really nice

Cons: Waiting in line (especially the weekends)

Great ambiance, unbelievable martinis. But ask Twigs what their well is, you will be very suprised to know that you are getting Don Pancho Tequllia rather than Cuervo, or Monarch vodka rather than Stoli's. At Twigs martini prices I'd expect a little more. The waitstaff is generally not knowledgeable when it comes to the food. This is based on several experiences. To me it is tacky when a server cannot describe the food, does not know the main ingredients in the dish and does not even know whether it is roasted or braised without asking the chef. The food itself seems very redundant. Too many of the items have similar ingredients. I feel like the food is thrown together with cooks of mediokre skill level. It lacks flavor developement and the sauces taste packeged or like they are made from a powder. Real Demi Glace cannot be immitated. I hate paying real prices for fake food, mostly I'm just dissapointed because I was told I was getting demi and was served something sub-par. Some of it is great and some of it is not so good. And it seems inconsistent from location to location and even within one location on different nights.

Pros: Very nice place for a date who does not know food

Cons: You will figure them out if you go there a few times

.

We really like to go to Twigs when we have just enough time for a drink. Better Martini's than you'll find anywhere! The actual dinner menu sounds so appetizing, but it's really kind of pitiful chow and way too expensive for the quality and amount of food. When you have a moment to scoot on up to the bar . . . . . it's the place!

Pros: Great Martinis, Great Ambiance

Cons: Expensive, Poor Food

.

When you go to a martini bar you're buying the experience. Twigs (Northside) lives up to that with an excellent collection of martinis, upscale microbrews and a fascinating menu. It's expensive outside of happy hour, but you're buying a romantic atmosphere with no screaming kids, excellent ambience and quality service. If that's what you desire I greatly recommend it.
