I was married to one of the pastors who is currently still there at the main campus. I was married to him many years ago while the church/college was still located in St Louis, Mo. I witnessed many gut wrenching atrocities that would make your stomach turn. I was there when Tanya was young and her "husband" was chosen for her and preened for his future job. I was there when Rev Davis ordered an unborn child of a inter-mix couple, during a closed service, (students and teachers only) to be "eliminated". I watched her beat herself on the alter so badly that she miscarried that evening! She was Six months along, too!!! She was Hispanic and he was Chinese. He said God told him that Interracial couples had no place in the ministry, and God had told him to eliminate the child! I was there when Davis proudly said over the pulpit that this couple "followed" God's orders??? I was there when wives would comes to church bruised after beatings from their husbands, for talking back to them, for not being submissive! And this was all ordered and taught by Davis! Please do Not get involved with a group where Love is replaced by Hate, Tolerance by Judgment, and God by Man's Laws. What happened to me? I escaped after Davis ordered beatings, but I survived. The God of Love and Mercy intercepted me and gave me a new life and new beginning. I now have four grandbabies, and they know and love the Jesus of the Bible, not the Fear of Davis! Thank you

I spent about 13 years there, part of that as a minister helping in 2 local churches. At the seminary I had hoped to glean some things from the "founder." Instead I just sat near his table watching him eat popcorn mostly in silence. Waste of time. In seminary I thought I would learn a lot and mature as a Christian. We were required to read very little that was spiritually edifying, but a lot of books on carnal topics. They may not have been sinful, but not exactly Christian seminary material. Since being in NTCC, some of the books recommended in and out of seminary have been: "The Go-Getter", "The Greatest Salesman Ever", "The Richest Man in Babylon"... anyone see a pattern here? After I left I heard one of the books was about "synergy." I looked it up. It's some trendy business term about team work or something. The world doesn't need a Church all amped up with teamwork and a plan to get rich in this life or even to be a "successful" team. God's Church is not a business. Christians don't need self-motivational psychological pep-talks either from the likes of "as a man thinketh" authors.

They reach out to military who are fighting in these wars around the world, wars that thorough research reveals are no noble wars but efforts by the Catholic "church" and wicked nobility blood-line that has infiltrated our government for the past 100 years to destroy nations who dare use something for currency other than the U.S. dollar. They destroy otherwise stable countries and say they are bringing them democracy. Wake up! How is the economy in Afghanistan now or Libya since they murdered Ghadaffi? Do two wrongs make a right? When was the last time you read of Ghaddafi committing a terrorist act? Anyways, New Testament Christian Church just encourages Christians to keep being good soldiers. You need to tell them to get out of the military if they want to be forgiven. Jesus said to love your enemies. Forgive and it shall be forgiven you. Judge not. They twist the scripture that says, we have to obey our governments for wrath sake and they think that means you can fulfill your government's "wrath" because of that. Unskilled readers they are. Paul said the governments of the world will execute "wrath" on us if we don't obey their rules, therefore we must obey them for "wrath's" sake. He didn't say we need to fulfill their wrath on others. They are unattached to the ancient Church's writings and so most members don't realize that the ancient Church clearly was opposed to Christians even serving in the military. I go in to much more depth on my website: http://www.whatisthetruechurch.info

Only looking at the most basic qualifying characteristics of cults; NTCC is one. It's unfortunate that cults exist at all, and I'm sad to say I spent a decade there, but I'm glad to be gone. I realize many people who still attend would think I'm "talking trash." What's really worse though? Someone meekly stating their opinion on the internet or an authority figure sweeping many, many child sexual abuse cases under the rug? The average NTCC attendee will say me, the stranger on the internet.

I had a local NTCC pastor and member come to my door and invite me to a service. They seemed nice and I said I would attend.
When I arrived at the service, all seemed well. The church building was very simple and small with about 30 congregants in attendance.
My first clue that something was amiss was that the pastor said that he "felt" the holy spirit leave him and that if the rapture had occured that day that he would have been left behind. (I believe that one's salvation is not based on feelings or works.)
The next odd thing that happened was that there was no sermon but an altar call in which almost everybody went forward. I chose to remain in my seat ( I also didn't feel the need to raise my hands during the singing) The assistant pastor came over and browbeat me to "get right" with God. I was truly shocked and very uncomfortable. He proceeded to lecture me about sin, sin, sin. I asked him if he has ever lusted after a woman. He said (with a straight face) that he did not because he was married. I had been involved with other churches that were "sin conscious" rather than "Christ conscious" I felt like getting up and leaving right then but stayed to the end. A couple of people came up and shook my hand to welcome me in a cursory manner, but no more that that.
When I got home, I did some research on NTCC and came upon massive amounts of information.
All I can say is that I feel like I dodged a bullet and am grateful for all the early warnings. Thank God for the internet (what they call the "sinner-net") and the many unfortunate people who have been ensnared in this "church" and have now come forward to warn others. My hat is off to you for sharing your experiences.

Summing up this "church" in one word : CONTROL

Many years ago one day I accepted Christ as my Salvation and Lord. I walked out the door of my dwelling and was invited to this church within ten minutes and an adventure in Jesus began "life and that more abundantly" . That was almost twenty years ago and one scripture always comes to mind when I think of New Testament christian church, "seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you." Here in the company of some wonderful people Jesus has allowed me to explore His Boundless Love. I have lived with an in dwelling of the Holy Spirit as a result of a supernatural experience while attending here. I have experience divine healing in my own body, and have had the privilege to pray for others and see them jump with excitement as Jesus directly healed them. I have spiritual brothers and sisters of different backgrounds whom I share deep personal relationships with. This is where God brought me, and God Has BEEN SO GOOD TO ME! I only wish that everyone could realize that God Loves them just because GOD IS LOVE! God has used this place to bring me into depths in Christ that I may have never know, and that's why the enemy tries so hard to keep people away!

If you are looking for a healthy church, that doesn't use love-bombing and manipulation to keep you, please don't attend here. If you are a regular member, and feel loved and feed, and not pressured to conform to man-made rules, I understand your five stars, for now. If you could look into the core, you would be very dismayed at what you see.

I attended for 13 years. There were man-made rules placed on the ministry, that the regular members don't hear about. It's like a bad apple: shiny on the outside; rotton on the inside. They do teach nuggets of truth, but that could be said of anything and anyone, so don't go by your first impression.

I was a loyal and giving minister's wife for 12 years, always a part of the "program of God," and when I went through a huge family crisis, no one visited me, and the love dried up. It was the kind of crisis that would have brought shame to NTCC, had the media got wind of it. I called and asked for someone in leadership to visit me, but none did. And then I realized, I had done the same to others for years, shunning them, and now I was receiving what I had doled out. It was a wake up call, and so, I am thankful that they did not call or visit me, when I most needed it, because I would still be stuck otherwise.

NTCC would have you to believe that they are the capstone of the covenant, the bearers of true holiness above all else, and yet, not one prayer goes up for the people and land of Israel. Many times, I heard RWD, the head pastor, disparage Israel, and say, he had no desire to visit there, ever. Israel is the apple of God's eye.

They dismiss the fourth commandment, and teach that the law is done away with. Tithing? That's a keeper; you will hear about tithing a lot here. They take many scriptures out of context, and don't study hebrew at all, or barely, and none is taught in "seminary.

Their seminary classes consists of the teacher reading his notes, and the students copying them down word for word, then going home and typing them out. There are no research papers or independent study incentives. This is not learning. Therefore, all the students who graduate and become preachers and teachers, are underprepared, and only know how to regurgitate what they have been fed.

Yes, some of NTCC-trained preachers are very loving, but that is a testimony of the strength of the individual and their overwhelming love for God and people coming out, not a testimony of the soundness of the organization. If you knew how much they struggled for the support and approval of the NTCC leadership, even if they are doing well, you would be saddened and dismayed.

If you happened to visit this church, and are inspired by the Lord to give you life to Him, just remember, it's too Him, not to NTCC. A believer will have many variables in their journey, and the Holy Spirit will provide many different teachers, at different stages in spiritual growth, not just one. More than one scriptural teacher and/or mentor should be okay, but its not, unless its NTCC leadership.

Yehovah may have your journey start at their altar, but please believe this: you must keep reading and studying the Word yourself, and if God tells you to move on to another congregation, go. You don't need the blessing of NTCC to go, and NTCC withholds blessings.

The essence of their retention program: guilt and manipulation. And what is the essence of manipulation: witchcraft. Witchcraft is all about manipulation of people's spirit's, and sadly, NTCC unknowingly practices witchcraft when they seek to manipulate souls by way of guilt trips, threats, group-think, intimidation, withdrawal of approval/love/support, and the like, mostly of their seminary graduates, and long-time members.

A healthy church will love you going in, and love you going out, and know the difference between someone who is leaving for the sake of going back to sin, and someone leaving to follow the will of God for their life, in another ministry or congregation. NTCC does not distinguish this difference.

At best, this is a stunted and immature leadership style, where a new believer could stay for no more than one year.

At worst, it is merely a social cult, that romances you in, and keeps you in through increasing levels of manipulation, the more you give in and give up, uses you, then tosses you aside like a cheap whore, when they have no more use for you as you outgrow your co-dependence and need for an ab

New Testament Christian Church's pastors are controlling and ego fed preachers. Don't believe me? Then go confront Rev. Davis or Rev. Kekel and tell them they are wrong about something, Anything and see how they respond. They will proceed to say things like, Well you tell me then since you think you know everything. Rev. Davis uses intimidation and fear to keep you in control. Rev Kekel and the others are yes men. None of them dare tell Davis when he is wrong on something. They give you all sorts of rules that you must follow, which isn't the problem. The problem is they will use fear tactics and give you all sorts of scary stories of others who have disobeyed rules and what has happened to them to keep you in check. Your Christian walk isn't on yours and God's terms. It is on the Reverends terms. Don't believe me? Then Go soul winning instead of going to a church service. They want you to live the way that they tell you to live. You can't do anything different then the way they have it set up. Another Example, You want to talk to a lady that you are interested in dating? Ha. You better ask the pastor first, because I can guarantee you that if you talk to her without asking the Pastor, He is going to think you are lusting after her or have some alterior motives. They don't trust you enough for you to walk your own Christian walk. Men sit with men in the church service. Go in and sit on the side where the ladies are sitting and watch how quickly they usher you to the where the men are sitting. They don't want you to hinder the ladies and they are afraid that you are lusting or have some sexual problem. Tithing isn't a problem, but I can also guarantee you that if you miss and fail to pay a tithe on purpose, You will get berated for it. Then you have to pay that tithe on top of your next tithe. I would avoid this church at all costs. Yeah their might be a few of them that might be okay, but as their own Reverend Davis said, There is a good biscuit in a pigs slop bucket, but I ain't gonna go digging thru it just to find it.

I was appalled at some of the things I've read here. The 1st day I walked in the church back in 1990, I felt the presence of God. At first, it seemed different-why because it is different- 30 churches later I met Jesus here. Now it's been about 20+ yrs. Never a moment wasted- How can God be a waste-Shame, shame I had never experienced a personal relationship with God-I only prayed when i needed something- usually being desperate. I have been faithful and I have not, moved, and so on, but one thing is true-I left because of ME not because of any issue I had with my church. When I'd come back they welcomed me with opened arms, some tears of happiness (mine mixed with theirs), I have always felt their love.I have never tried another church after I started attending here, no need to, I know where God is. Now I have the Holy Ghost, my husband attended another church for 17 yrs.-it was so dry.No Holy Ghost power there He did receive the Baptism in with and of the Holy Ghost and daughter is seeking the Holy Ghost. These are the most loving group of people in the world- they are NOT takers they are sharers- Sharing the Salvation of Jesus Christ to all who will lend an ear- I love them, everyone of 'em!!!You want the love of God in your life-come try for yourself and don't listen to that trash and garbage talk-I Iove em, love em, love em!!! Can't say it enough.wonderful word to the men and women who have prayed for me, my sick family and my kids...How many people are praying for you? Not many i'm sure.Their word means evrthing because they have Character.. Good men and women are hard to find but not here- I thank God again I was invited out.The ladies are amazing women of God. I have shared my entire life with them including my children, food, laughter and love and you can NEVER get enough of it and there's never a shortage of it- Please try NTCC before believing that mularke but mostly before it's too late..

Consult with many of the former pastors and their wives who leave on a steady basis about their experiences before allowing this organization to ruin your life. There are plenty of websites and blogs to provide the public with information NTCC has been trying to hide from people for years. Davis is a con-artist who runs real estate and escrow scams around the country. And worst of all their main targets are the miliatry men and women who risk their lives to protect our country.

They are all so friendly...at first! Cross the NTCC & "their doctrine" & be known as a reprobate!
Leave the church (not God mind you but the church) & you'll be known as "one who has left God."
Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this group!!
There are plenty of healthy churches out there; choose one of them instead!

So glad to be gone!!

I can understand when people say that NTCC is a cult. The truth is that the vast majority of the NTCC churches have become extremist cults that have fallen under that power of Satan and the lies he wants to spread. However, I have to point out that there are still true churches within NTCC, including the one ive been going to for 5 months in wahiawa, hawaii. This church preaches nothing but the Bible, the saving grace that Jesus Christ offers freely, and the abundant and joyous life he wants so desperately to give us, the life that I now have. When I started going there, I was unsaved. The pastor introduced himself to me, and a few of the other church members as well. They never once tried to shove the teachings of the Bible down my throat. As a result, i was constantly going to the pastor, asking questions about the Bible and what he believes, and I kept coming back to every single service. They did ask me if I was planning on coming back, and of course I told them yes, but they NEVER called me over the phone. Every time, he was able to show me verse references to back up everything he told me, showing me the personal attention I needed to ask questions and fully understand. Soon, the pain of my past started surfacing, and I desperately starting searching for God, still unable to fully let go. Then, one night, God shook me to my core and took away the one thing that mattered to me, the one thing i had left to live for. I cried out to Jesus and received him as Lord and Savior. Now I am happy and satisfied, with a joy that I can't explain- a joy that stays with me through the painful changes God is making. The pastor has NEVER condemned me. He has NEVER been harsh to me. He has NEVER asked me for money. Everything he has told me has been true, with verse references to back it up, and I've experienced the supernatural lifestyle change that comes with a saving faith. I'm sorry for those of you that have experienced the evil that that devil has brought into the vast majority of the NTCC churches, but that is not the life that Jesus Christ came to give you. NTCC of wahiawa, hawaii is one of the few true churches of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
P.S.- I can also say that I always dress casually, usually jeans and a t-shirt. Sometimes I'll dress up really nice. About half of the functions outside of the church are done without the pastor, with my christian brothers Keith and Joseph. The pastor always gives us space when we're not available to come to church or attend church functions- he NEVER harassed us about it. We have quite a few people that attend casually every now and then, but the pastor never harasses them about it. As far as his lifestyle goes, he has a nice home but it's also the serviceman's home. When I'm not working, the majority of the time I'm at the home (5 days a week). I see the lifestyIe that he lives, the things that he has, and it's not luxurious at all. The money from tithes goes to paying expenses and furthering the kingdom of God, nothing more. I go there simply because of the joy that comes with attending a church that teaches the joy that Jesus offers.

You know what makes me laugh when i read what every one has to say about NTCC...people complain about how NTCC takes all your money, well guess what before you started going to NTCC you were giveing stripers money or spending money on more dumber things then just paying dorm fees or the other junk you were complaing about,,,its to crazy how you dont get all worked up about haveing to pay your own rent or paying for your own grocerys, but when you have to pay for your dorm fees or other things at NTCC you throw a fit and talk bad about NTCC...its easy to talk bad about people and find fault with them.

How about we all take a look at our lives...are we all liveing the way that God wants us to live?

Heaven is our goal...or at least it should be.

I am only 17 but come on people its so easy to see that God is comeing back soon so lets stop talking trash and make sure our heart is right with God.

I am not judging anyone and I don't want to talk bad about this church. It is for some and not for others. Like another said...find out for yourself. If this is the place where you will find happyness, so be it. It wasn't for me.

I've been a part of this church for many years, and I've found a wonderful environment full of love and care. They definitely teach the Bible, and they work hard to be a conservative fundamental church that loves the Lord in the old time way. Very good, and most of all, they live what they preach.

I received Salvation while in Anchorage, AK. I was invited to NTCC there by the pastor. I learned a much about the bible and God during my 19 yr. tenure with NTCC. Everyone has an opinion about someone. I would not say, Don't Go! for you may miss your chance to be saved. Go see for yourself and you be the judge.

I faithfully attended this church for over six years. Lived in the servicemens home, been to a few conferences and have even preached behind the pulpit. I left the church about 9 years ago and have not regretted it. I am still serving God to this day and I hope to start a real church one day, God willing.

I can honestly say that I believe this church is not a "cult" .. according to my definition. Some of the things they do are extreme, but remember that some of it can be found in the word of God. However, there are a few major flaws about this church that I just could no longer bear. The only way to convince the faithful folks at ntcc that they need to get out is by using the word of God against their own secret doctrine. Here are a few examples of their teaching:

One time a faithful member found flaws in this church and decided not to attend anymore. The church convinced his wife (faithful to the church) to divorce him. According to the word of God, this is WRONG!

When I was a faithful member, anyone, and I mean ANYONE that misses a church service or a bible study without a real good excuse is considered borderline with God. And if you miss two in a row, they will look down on you and will probably visit you during a "soul winning" session. The strange thing is, you will not know this and think that all is well. In other words, if you think you are a faithful member of this church and you have been visited by them without notice, they believe you are not right with God and or borderline with God. Why? They believe that if you are right with God, you will attend every single function. Yes, the Bible says to "forsake not the assembling of yourselves together", however it did not mean it literally! In other words, if the regime leaders of the church decided to have a church service every day from now on, it doesn't mean you have to attend every single time. Remember that God sets guidelines in his word, but some churches like to add to it and twist it a little to their liking. That my friend is WRONG!

They will preach loud behind the pulpit and if you are not clapping or saying "Amen" or the such, they will believe that you are probably not right with God. No where in the Bible does it state this. Why do they teach it? I have no idea.

This church also believes that "if" you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you will speak in tongues during the process and will do so whenever you please without any interpretation from someone else. You also need to speak in tongues in front of everyone when deemed necessary in order to prove that you are baptized in the Holy Spirit. No where in the word of God does it state this! Why do they teach it then? Well, when the leader(s) of the church was baptized in the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues, that must mean it has to happen to everyone who gets baptized in the Holy Ghost. WRONG! Again, no where in the Bible does it state this! The word of God however, does teach that there are certain gifts that God gives his children and speaking in tongues is one of them, and also prophesy and so forth.. But not everyone can receive all of these gifts. The Holy Ghost however, is a gift for everyone. Study First Corinthians chapter 12, 13, and 14. Study it well, and read it for yourself without any outside influence.

In conclusion, I truly believe some of the brothers and sisters that still attend this organization (ran by a proud and selfish regime, which I say not to slander, but instead to influence them to humble themselves and read the bible for themselves and not read it out of the eyes of the regime) are ignorantly sincere.

I have to go now, and I hope you take these things into consideration. May God be with you always!

I was invited to visit a church by a long time acquaintance. She said she has been going there for 2 years and she really likes it. I went Sunday (1/30/11). The preacher was blasting rich people and all their possessions. I started looking through my bible for the scripture, "But we know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, for our sakes he became poor that we might be rich, that through his poverty we might be rich?. After I placed my Bible on the pew, the preacher came out of the pulpit with mike in hand and asked who I was. I told him. He asked my acquaintance if she had invited me. She said yes pastor. He asked me if I thought he was mean. I said "Sir, I don??t know anything about you." He said you??ve got some opinion about me; you??re looking through your bible. He stopped bending over me and stood up straight. I quoted the scripture that I had been searching for. He said I know that scripture and started walking back toward the front. That??s not what I??m talking about. You need to get your facts straight before you start challenging people.
I said you came to me. He whirled around, pointed his finger at me and with mike to his mouth said, ??SHUT UP!? in a deep and gruff voice.
I sat there a few minutes and listened to him. He went back to the pulpit and started giving his resume??, saying how he has preached all over the world, and he studies his bible, and he knows what he??s talking about.
I told my acquaintance that I was leaving, I??m never coming back, and I??m taking my offering with me. She said softly no, no, stay. Don??t go. I waited awhile longer. He never got back to the Bible. He stated, ??I??ve got money. I put three children through college. I??ve got a bank account. I got a new car backed up out there...pointing toward the parking lot.
I asked her to give me a reason why I should stay after this man had told me to shut up. She started writing a note.??This is my church home?.
The preacher blasted her calling her by name saying, "If she is distracting you". I told her I??m leaving. I gathered my things and stood up. He blasted me again and had the congregation clap because I was leaving.
I said no, let me clap because I??m leaving, y??all are making a mockery out of Jesus Christ!
I went to the guest registry and stated scratching out my name and address. A fat woman came to me huffing and puffing and said stop that. I didn??t stop but told her that I didn??t want my name on their registry. She was looking mean and grabbed my hand hard and said we??ll take care of that, you need to leave. Another fat woman came to me and said mam you need to leave! The first one let me go. I told them not to contact me for any reason.
I turned to walk away when I heard a male child running up behind me saying, ??You can??t treat my daddy like that?! I heard a man tell him sternly ??Boy, get back in that church?! I never looked back.
I got in my car; drove to where my husband was at church. I told him all about what had happened to me. He said where is this church? We??re going to see that preacher. They had no business laying a hand on you. He had no business shouting at you and telling you to shut up.
We were met outside in the rain by the assoc. pastor. My husband asked, ??Are you the pastor?? The man said, ??I??m the Assoc. Pastor?. He said I??d like to see the pastor. The man said, ??He??s in his study?. My husband said, ??I want to know what happened here today, and why y??all disrespected my wife?. The man said, ??Sir no one disrespected your wife. You don??t know the whole story?. My husband asked three times, "What is the whole story"? The man never opened his mouth he just clenched his lips. A man in a green suite opened the door and stood there and asked my husband 3 times, ??Were you here with your wife today? My husband did not answer. The man told my husband that he was wrong for not answering his question. Then he said that we were on their property. I told my husband to let??s go. As we were leaving I left them with this comment. This is not a church, this is a cult and I??m going to put you on blast!

I was never welcomed. Those women who thought it necessary to insist that I leave certainly were not welcoming. They can take that statement off the website. They are not living up to your mission nor the full-gospel message of Jesus Christ. Barnes never lifted up the name of Jesus but he tried with all his might to humiliate and tare me down. I??ve never met anyone so insecure in their knowledge of Jesus Christ.

They are not living up to your mission nor the full-gospel message of Jesus Christ. Barnes never lifted up the name of Jesus but he tried with all his might to humiliate and tare me down. I??ve never met anyone so insecure in their knowledge of Jesus Christ.

These people only love you and want what's best for you. Don't listen to all the stupid people that talk about this place. I grew up in this organization and live my own life. I don't dress the way they do or go to church every service. They don't shun you unless you talk bad about them or are rude to them. Who wants to be friends with people who are mean and rude?

They have loved me and got me through so much. Don't listen all the bad reviews. I know from experience. I've been on both sides of the fence. Whatever I did, they loved me and always came back for me. Anybody who talks crap about them needs to grow up and just be honest. They left because they wanted to. They can make all the excuses in the world but the fact is they left because THEY WANTED TO. I don't live by church's lifestyle and what they believe in because I don't want to. Maybe some day. But at least I can be grown up about it.

Amazing how those of us that have left this organization were the smartest folks in the world while we were still in, but now that we have awakened from the trance and left, we are now stupid!! And you're right, we left because we wanted to. We wised up and got out before our lives ended!! Now we live life, free in Jesus Christ, and have no regrets. If it's working for you there, wonderful, but don't stoop to name calling because we voice our opinions. You can't call us liars because you have absolutely no idea what went on in our lives there. Before you open your trap, at least know a little about what you're talking about. Thanks!

It all seemed really good BUT, after awhile you begin to really see it for what it is. As long as you allow yourself to think, and not them. Because you will for sure hear plenty of preaching that will cause you to think how they want you to think. When I finally left the church, I have to say that I probably wasted about 17 years of my life. If you are attending currently, you will probably not face the same things that people before you faced. For one, RW Davis no longer controls this beast. Kekel does now. And he has seemingly changed alot and energized the church. Mostly because they needed something to stir the fire, since so many people were leaving the church. And if you were there, if you watched how things changed over the years, you will mysteriously see that they changed as Grant got older. I remember my pastor getting BLASTED in a conference for having a holiday weekend picnic. We were told that there are souls dying and going to hell while we had our picnic. WELL, years later after Kekel takes over, they have a picnic at his house. Which is fine, but what is wrong about it is that depending on when you attended the church, you can be told something totally different. Should changes take place, yes, but for years it was preached NO COMPROMISE. Well it seems to have made its way into the fold. Of course they say that those that have left are blinded, but you yourself know the truth. Whether you are man or women enough to admit it to yourself is something different. For decades it was always preached against pursueing college to better yourself. In fact I let my GI bill expire because of it. WELL what used to be wrong, is no ok. You can now attend school. I honestly think that many people that attend and knew NTCC as it was before the Kekel era know what was preached. Now that they can do so many more things then before, they see no reason to leave. Well I left before the changes happened. It seems like a new ERA is happening. Please do not go and waste your life as I did. There are so many questions surrounding this organization, it is not worth it. Does this happen at alot of churches, for sure, but they will tell you how that they are basically the only church that is right with God.
Pretty much since they opened up the Graham church to the public, they began to change. Because the issue of TV, college and things that used to be wrong are not ok. They will say they are just suggestions and not policies, but those that still attend KNOW deep down the truth. I was in my 30's and still had to ask for permission just to have someone over to my house. This letter could go on for pages and pages, but I will end it here by pleading that you dont attend this church. Just google New Testament Christian Church and you will see all of the truth about this church out there. They will literally suck the last dollar out of you. Oh sure they wont say it but they FOR SURE imply you to give it all.

I too started going to NTCC while in the military in 1980. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. I went to the Bible College and graduated. I have been Pastoring or Ministiring since 1986. I have never had any great amount of gifts or praise or anything else given to me. But then again I never looked to a group or a person for that. I always looked to the Lord. I know all of the Men of leadership that have been mentioned in this blog. In addition to the 16 years I have been in my church in Indianapolis I have worked on the building crew and in the college office. I have never seen or heard anything that was out of line or character for what a true minister of the gospel should be. If you have any questions about a church service or the church in general call one of the churches or all of them and ask someone. No establishment of any sort will be able to please everyone. So why take the word of a few. If you are even reading this then you have a question. Let the Lord be your guide. But gather info for yourself. God Bless

I have been a member of NTCC in another state for a long time... all the acusations are by far incorrect ... i was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost there, the doctrine they teach is not made up but infact backed up with the Holy Bible ... yes it is true many people do decide to "pick and choose what they need and dont out of the Bible" however NTCC belives , lives and teaches the WHOLE Bible nothing left out changed around ! they love with the love of God no matter what they are firm disiplined but more than anything the LOVE of my Jesus comes out! there were times i fell and ran from God and they still loved me and incouraged me to be what God wanted me to be weather it be there or anywhere ( a "cult" does not) they dont ask you for your money ... they teach the Bible it has been my experince that the people who complain or find fault with my church usually are the people who dont give anything anyway and who want to live any way and call it RIGHT. God is deffinitly at that church the spirit of God has kept me for years ... the church itself is not God but teaches the Bible i do recomend you come out and check us out where ever you are! we have an amazing organization! the people really love you because God loved them ! Jesus loves you and we do too!!!!

Very militant in there approach towards the community. The majority of this Graham based church is either active or ex-military. The reason being, NTCC purposely targets military bases, and young GI's for recruitment into their organization. The majority of these individuals are young and impressionable, therefore they become easy targets of the leaderships manipulation tactics. Many spend the good portion of there 20's and early 30's engrossed in the NTCC lifestyle, and many dump a hefty portion of their finances into this church, only to profit the upper leadership. Soon after much exhaustion, and verbal, mental, and even physical abuse, the majority of people "wise up" and leave, only to find they are shunned, and basically left on the side of the road with no one.

The church in Grham will boast of "big numbers" 700-800 in attendance making the curious outsider believe that these numbers are generated from the surrounding community. FAR FROM IT! It would be conservative in the least to say that maybe 5% of that number is from the surrounding community, for the simple fact that the majority of the communities (Graham, Eatonville, S. Hill, Puyallup, Spanaway) recognize NTCC to be a cult. Very much in the style of the apocolyptic, paranoia, over controlling style manifested by men such as....Jim Jones.

Feel free to visit, and see for yourself. I can almost guarantee you will not stay. Most do not! Trust your gut instinct on this one folks, and find something more "normal" and healthier for you and your family.

Years I have been away from the church cult NTCC. Still the scars from years of emotional abuse are prevalent. I became a member during my time in the Marine Corps (the place I would be retiring from in one year if I had not got entangled.... entrapped by this money grubbing band of thieves), attended the NTCC "Bible College", and preached under their banner for 3 years.

While in the military things did get better for me. I did get saved, the drinking quit and because I wasn't drinking every day I had money. Money which I was told was not mine. I was just a "steward" and the money was God's. Though this has a ring of truth to it in the biblical sense, God's money was ultimately placed in the protective custody of His "leaders on earth". The pastor of the servicemen's work of course.

Off to the NTCC "Bible College". Want to talk about a financial battle. How many current and former members of NTCC would dare deny the daily incantation of these words "All Christians pay tithe"? Yes, tithe is a biblical principle; but let's examine things more closely. 10% of the GROSS pay, oh and don't forget offering and "Don't give until it hurts, give until it feels good". Oh don't forget tuition, which is said to be a nominal amount; but after taking home (for a single student) less than 70 percent of your check after gross tithing and taxes things get a little more difficult. Finally, let's not forget dorm fees. Now we have taxes, 10% gross tithe, budget for offering (or you WILL be looked down upon), tuition and dorm fees... you had better be able to afford a vehicle and insurance (or you WILL be looked down upon). Let's just say you'll lose weight in NTCC "Bible College".

Off to the ministry for NTCC. Oh boy. 10% of your GROSS personal monthly earnings (not to the church you are pastor of but to the head church), 10% of your churches GROSS monthly earnings. I did a lot of paying to preach that doctrine! Pay for your own personal rent, car, insurance, electrical, water, and the like. Pay the church rent, insurance, electrical, water, upkeep, and the like. Don't ask the head church for any favors either (or you WILL be looked down upon) and probably called on the carpet at conference.

Pay, Pay, Pay, PAY, PAY, PAY!!!!!
NTCC - nice place to visit, but I decided not to live there!

I was a member of NTCC in Savannah, GA and Tacoma, WA. I also attended their seminary in St. Louis, MO and Washington state. I first became concerned after hearing Davis say that god told him when the rapture was going to happen (then he said it was going to be in the year 2000) which I knew was directly against scripture. After that I began to look around and watched how people were suffering because of the constant money hole that all of us were throwing our cash into. All the while, we were constantly made to feel guilty that we would never be good enough for heaven unless we gave more. Finally I took my family and moved to another state. When I first left the church members came to my home and accused me of everything from kidnapping my wife to watching porn. They would come to my home when I was at work and pound on the door trying to get my wife to open the door.

I was so glad I got away and found out what is true and what is not.

I attended NTCC for approximately 2.5 years while stationed at Ft. Stewart. In my experience, they would say in one service that the church you attended didn't matter as long as what they taught was biblical and in the next service tell you that their church was the only one that was right. They would also make a fuss over one person doing some wrong but it would be fine when another church member committed the same wrong. They also encouraged you to have to do with your family if you could not encourage them to become members of NTCC. I also noticed that men and women were pressured to go to their bible college as though that was the only way that the lord could use you. They are more of a cult than a church. They appear to be biblical, however, once you attend for a while you see their true colors.

I attended NTCC for 11 years and also was a student in their Bible Seminary for a 2yrs.
At first they seem Biblically sound, but things change after being there just a couple weeks. Ivitational efforts on your behalf are highly stressed, mainly for the reason that numbers are highly stressed by the upper echelon, if you are a church leader and don't have numbers you are failing God, this is preached accross the pulpit every bianual minister's conference, which you are required to go to if you are a church leader or seminary student, soldiers that attend the church are encouraged "pressured" to attend. If you are single soldier, as I was when I first started to attend, you will be coaxed into living in the Servicemen's home, a home away from home for servivemen, to escape the "evil" influence of the barracks. There you will be groomed for Bible Seminary. This is not family friendly church. Some have posted to just approach the pastor, its not general Bible question you are repremanded for questioning "THE MAN OF GOD." The president and also the chairman of the organization are hard to approach, for the reason of how they escalate themselves, you are made to feel inferior, and just downright stupid for having a legitimate question, not to mention the mile long permission line just so you can have someone over for dinner. If you planned on visiting the HOP church with Dennis's crew, forget it, it's the same animal, they broke off from NTCC, run things the same way, and have an identical doctrinal statement. If you attend NTCC for about any length of time they will discourage you from attending other churches, watching televangelist, listening to radio preachers, purchasing commentary Bibles, and Bible expositories unless otherwise approved by them, and the list is short. I have learned from listening to some radio preaching a lot of sermons are plagerized, as is a lot of school material, this I learned after purchasing books, especially those written by Dake. I have heard complete sermons preached by R.W. Davis, the chairman of the organization that was word for word, I mean sermon title, illustration, and even jokes that were preached by Jack Hyles. Do not attend this church, this is not slander or backbiting, as I know will be called, this is truth. If you have attended NTCC for as long as I have you know what its like to be disassociated by someone that was your "freind." I have learned more about the Bible since leaving NTCC than I did while in their seminary. I am an independant minister, have had nursing home ministries, been children's Sunday shool teacher, and have preached in other churches, NTCC will have one to believe that one that leaves their church gives up on God, this is not the case. I have met quite a few attending other churches and even preaching the gospel.

As a former Graham Lay Pastor under MC Kekel the Senior pastor of this church, I would highly recommend that you and your family find a more healthy, and positive church to attend. The people of NTCC suffer greatly under the barrage of insults, and control ministered by the clergy of this church. Very controlling, very cultish. I am a FORMER Lay Pastor for the this very reason. NTCC is poisonous, and destructive. I write to you out of concern for you and your family.....Please take Heed! NTCC is a cult!

The undeniable presence of God resides here! I came here broken, condemned by sin, and death. The Bible was preached and taught here! I was changed from the inside out. Sure we have had our share of bumps and bruises, but to put it plainly I have met some really cool people here lol! Let the Holy Spirit be a determining factor when deciding where to attend church.

Churches aren't like resturants anyways as far as rating goes! Use prayer!

Satan is the accuser of the Brethren as seen in Rev. 12:10 My question to you would be have you forgotten what James 4:11 states? "Speak no evil of another brethren.......Does the word of God cleary shows us 1Tim. 5:1 Rebuke not an elder. Everyone is intitled to their opinion you may say. Rom. 16:17 "mark them which cause divisions and offences...and avoid them. NTCCOA INC. is different from some churches they use the Bible as the primary guide for teaching and preaching. It is Holiness organization that supports the community. Many members have served our country in various aspects. I highly recommend it. The services are short and the preaching great. I have not been able to attend lately because I live over 2,000 miles away from any of the churches. Check it out for yourselves don't take my work for it. Do go to observe; if you don't enjoy yourself you can allways leave but, I believe you will enjoy yourself.

Flee from this "church." It's basically a corrupt moneygrubbing nepotistic family business masquerading as a "holiness" church. Extreme mind control techniques are stock in trade, and the leadership represents this organization as God's exclusive tool in the world today. "If these other churches were doing the job, why would God have raised us up" is the deceptive mantra they use to justify their condemnation of all other denominations and guilt people into staying. Strictly legalistic, they practice "love bombing" with a vengeance until a convert is "in;" then the pressure begins to attend their "seminary," an unaccredited institution with the sole purpose of narrow indoctrination. Beware; that's where they really get their hooks in. Peruse any "marks of a cult" list online, and NTCC will be batting at least .800. The leaders live like King Tut off their ill-gotten gains, while the sheep struggle to pay their rent and buy groceries.

It took me about 15 years to get disentangled from the NTCC web; my hope is that others will be spared a load of angst by taking heed to the warnings posted here.

My advice to the curious is to stay as far away from this organization as possible. Sure there are nice people there, but the organization as a whole uses the gospel as a tool to gain control and domination over others. Yes, people get saved, receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, make good friends, and learn some great things about serving God in NTCC. However, the bad experiences unfortunately outweigh the good. Over time, those who become members are indoctrinated with extra-biblical man made rules. For example, they misinterpret Titus 2:5 and teach that it??s a sin for women to work on the job. However, their interpretation of the aforementioned passage does not coincide with Proverbs 31:10-31 which talks about a woman being proactive and working in and out of the home. This is just one example, but NTCC doesn??t stop here. Rather, their control tactics go much further.

When I was in this church, participating organized sports was strongly discouraged as was attending accredited colleges, movie theaters, bowling alleys, etc. A member had to get permission for just about everything.

Ever thought about attending another church while a member of this one? Forget about it! All other churches outside of their insular organization were looked upon as the enemy. NTCC as a whole displays the quintessential "us versus them" mentality with respect to other Christian denominations.

I strongly suspect that the real reason NTCC doesn??t seek fellowship with other Christian churches is because they know that their manmade rules would be exposed for what they really are, Pharisee theology.

Women are treated as second class citizens in NTCC and the idea conveyed is that they are supposed to be weak and undereducated because they are women.

NTCC??s claim to not be the only ones right with God is really just a bunch of lip service, because their actions really speak louder than their words. Mention another church where God is blessing around one of the more seasoned members and watch them squirm.

Moreover, the NTCC pulpit is often used as a tool for humiliating, guilt-tripping, and browbeating members into submission to their Pharisaic ways.

Don??t expect to see any financial transparency with the leadership, local or strategic. They say they are not after your money. However, in my judgment, NTCC is generally after mind control and domination over the members; once they get that, everything else will most likely follow. The goal is to keep you on an extremely busy schedule so there??s no time to think, process the information, and realize you??re in a cult.

They should at least have the courtesy to be transparent with their members and the general public about their non-accredited seminary before people waste their time driving cross-country to attend. That??s called deception. People should be informed by their local pastor that the seminary is unaccredited before being recruited to go.

The longer a person stays with NTCC, the harder it??s going to be to leave and the greater the effects on the person financially, emotionally, psychologically, and socially.

I read an earlier post (now removed) where someone wrote that the organization preys on young military members, the young, the lonely, and the gullible. That is exactly right. In fact, most if not all of their ministers are ex military. They target the military because soldiers, particularly the enlisted already have a certain amount of freedom taken away from them, and are used to being controlled.

Everyone who leaves the church is considered to be an enemy of the cross and members are instructed to shun ex members. I know cause I was a member for 4 years. That dynamic may be changing now since more ex members are speaking online about their NTCC experiences. If God saved us to be under taskmasters who are bent on domination and control, he would not have given us brains with the capacity for reason. God created men and women equal. The NTCC leadership are nothing but mere mortals. They have no power to strike anyone down to the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. After all, God is the ultimate judge, not some cult like NTCC.

There are wonderful Pentecostal, Charismatic, nondenominational, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Anglican, Episcopalian, churches out there. Do yourself a huge favor and visit them instead. I would not wish the NTCC experience on anyone. Furthermore, I??ve been blessed to learn much more about the Bible and theology since leaving the church, attending a real college and fellowshipping with other Christians from various denominations.

I attended New Testament Christian Church for over 10 years and love it very much. The people are friendly and welcoming. The preaching is full of God's love and the liberty of Christ. Life can be hard sometimes, but when it gets hard I can't think of a group of people that I would want in my corner more then the people at the New Testament Church in Graham.
