My first and last time going to this place. I made an appointment for a hot stone massage and ended up getting a hot stone rub. The person giving me this massage aka rubdown did not put any effort in putting any pressure in her strokes.

I purchased the "Roses For You" package off of a Groupon offer and was disappointed. I wanted to try a new spa as I'm looking for on on the Eastside but this isn't my calling. When I make it to a spa - I want a full relaxing experience

I've gone to Eastside Oasis off and on since they first opened. There is a reason they have expanded in a poor economy. They offer good services at an excellent price. I love a swanky experience as much as the next girl, but I can't

I am co-owner of the new downstairs area of Eastside Oasis called A SIGNATURE SPA!

We have newly renovated our space to provide an aromatic, peaceful and intimiate boutique style day spa. Our grand opening confirmed our efforts and vision........thanks to all who attended and had rave reviews for us!

In addition to providing all types of body treatments, we also provide group spa experiences and private parties.

We hope to attain our ultimate goal this September by providing our clients with a larger sauna, steam room and soaking tubs. Additionally, clients without scheduled services will be able to drop in or become members of our facility.

We look forward to hearing reviews once we have our own city search site!!

We booked for a girlfriend's birthday after looking all over the internet for a spa that would suit our "spa party" needs - that in itself was a hard task! Not that many spas out there that accomodate "spa party" type groups.

EO was very accomodating to each one of our wishes - some did packages, some did individual services. We asked if we could bring in pasties and drinks to celebrate our bday girl and they were more than accomodating and even had an area for us to congregate together btwn spa services. Sometimes, our g/f's can be loud and obnoxious (you know how girls are!) and at times we thought we might be too loud or offensive to others in the spa, but the staff at EO told us we were fine and to go ahead and have a good time! That was nice :-)

I have to agree with one of the prior reviews, my massage wasn't the best I'd ever had. In fact, it was mediocre, at best. It was like petting an animal, very superficial, no working of the muscles at all. My massage was supposed to be a hot stone also, though it didn't sounds nearly as bad as the other reviewers experience:) Unfortunately, not long into the massage, I was beginning to to think that the stones were more so getting in the way for my masseuse than enhancing the massage:-( Bummer.

Other than the massage itself, we had a great time. My other services were nice and relaxing, and we didn't mind the "older bldg" at all. In fact, I rather liked it better than say a stuck up, hoity toity spa. The prices were very reasonable. All in all, I think we'll definitely go back again... I just need to be more specific with my wishes on my massage experience!

I went to Eastside Oasis on Sunday with two of my
friends. We are from Vancouver and had a great experience. Our massages with Wendy, Kara and Katie
were the best. We also took a tour of their spa which is
totally remodeled and they have fantastic new spa services as well as facials and nails. This is the best kept secret in Bellevue. We plan to come again when
we are back in town.

Decided to try this spa because I thought I had a Blue Cross discount. Turns out was only for "medical massage," and owner gave me $10 off anyway. That was the good part.

The massage was amateurish at best. Kara (sp?) asked me what areas were bothering me before she started, and I was clear my lower back was a terrible mess.

This was a stone/deep tissue package. She put stones on, and left the room several times to "get something." I've had stone massages before, and they consist of *massage* and stones, not just putting the stones (or as she called them, "rocks") on and standing there. She finally did massage my arms and legs, lightly. Then turned me over. Forgot to put stones on front, then began to massage neck and shoulders. Through this, the CD kept skipping. She finally fixed it once. Then it did it again as she was finally getting to some deep tissue work. And then she was done. Out of time, and she hadn't even touched my low back! I was shocked. She explained the scheduled length of the massage, which I knew. My point was that she had a clock and the ability to know how much time had passed, so she could hit the critical areas while there was time. I cannot tell time face down w/o a clock. She said I could schedule for another time, but I pointed out the main reason I'd come THAT DAY was to have massage on my painful lower back.

When I went out, the front desk person asked how it was, and I said she didn't even touch the most needful part. Front desk person seemed to hardly care. I left, and I will never go back.

Some people have comments about the building. That didn't bug me--what matters most is the massage room itself and the therapist.

Perhaps there are other therapists there who are good. Not this one. Very disappointing.

Pros: warmer, better

I recently had a gift certificate to Eastside Oasis Day Spa, and I have been going here for 4 years. Although an older site, the ladies that work here are the best I have had. I recently had the opportunity to have Ela Swierz give me a facial...It was amazing and different. I feel she is the best I have had. I urge you to book an appointment with her. Cindy

I can't believe all of the whining that people have bothered to do about this establishment. If you want to pay top dollar to drink fruited water by the fireplace (which, OK, might be what you are looking for once in a while) then probably not for you. On the other hand, if you believe that a truly skilled massuse can make a real difference in how you move and feel -- especially if you get massage on a fairly regular basis -- then Eastside Oasis is perfect. I've had massages in a number of places including the Pro Club and Miraval (Oprah's Spa of choice) and can tell you that Mitra is definitely stellar! Her hands know where your muscles are. Whether healing from a back injury (she is certified to be covered by insurance) just feeling great -- I can recommend Mitra -- 150%

It is really a shame that the folks who read these reviews don't seem to be aware that any decent business makes tweaks to their business along the way based on customer experiences and feedback. This is not a posh spa experience but they do have a very clean zen-like facility with attentive and talented staff. In the past few years they have changed their floor plan around to make it a quieter experience for those visiting for massage only. I've taken several out-of-town friends in for hot stone massages and they loved the experience as well. The receptionists have changed and though I never had a bad experience with any of them the current one is kind and attentive. This is a wonderfull place to visit for whatever your need: mani, pedi, massage, etc. Best of all it is very conveniently located on the Eastside right off of NE 8th (not hard to find if you can read addresses). Prices are reasonable for those of use who simply want a massage (or mani/pedi/facial) and don't feel the need to pay for the 4-star river rock fireplace, the embroidered spa robes, and all of the sometimes ridiculous spa-pampering that goes with it. This place should not be ruled out - if you're not looking for the cost and extras that go with a 4-star spa this is the place to try. I think you'll find you are pleasantly surprised by how much you get from the experience - and you'll spend half of what you would elsewhere. Besides . . . how long do you really have that 4-star spa embroidered robe on anyway . . . .enough to pay double what you would at Eastside Oasis? If you say yes to this you will need to find somewhere else to park your Hummer. For the rest of you - enjoy spending less and getting a fabulous treatment.

I 'm new to Bellevue and wanted to find a place to have my massage and nails done. I found Eastside Oasis had both services. I read all the reviews and was surprised by the severe trashing of a few with all the others being so good. The prices seemed very reasonable so I decided to give them a chance. I was very happy with my massage with Panissama and my pink & white back fill with Jennifer. The service was great, the Spa was very clean including the nail area. Jamie the receptionist even brought me hot tea while I was waiting. i had a nice relaxing massage on a heated electric massage table. The pedicure was done on a heated pedicure chair with a place for my hot tea. I think the place was terriffic especially all the nice staff and the very pleasant front desk girl. i'll be going back again for my fill and another massage. I can't believe the reviewers were at the same place I went to. Go by and check it out for yourself. Some of these reviews sound like "competition" especially the ones that say to go somewhere else they like better. I will say it is not a posh hotel type spa, just a nice clean modern local business.

I believe the good reviews of this place are by friends and family. This place is filthy, dumpy and gross. There are some nice people working here but it's not a great spa experience. You get what you pay for.

Pros: cheap, lots of parking

Cons: dirty, gross, basement-like feel, smells moldy and musty, rude front desk

The first time I tried the spa, the massage was OK with a good price. But wow was the front desk rude. I don't remember her name but I was made to feel like I was bothering them. I figure, everyone has a bad day (this is no excuse though - if you don't like being in the service industry, especially a spa, get out), so I tried again because of their advertised special. Again, I was met with horribly rude and cold personalities. The massage therapist was good but the place is dirty looking. There are better, more spa like places for good prices. I won't go there again. Don't be fooled by the specials. It's not worth it.

Each year my husband gives me a gift certificate to a spa. This was my first year at Eastside Oasis and I have already put it on my Christmas list to go back. Jamie gave me the best facial I have ever had. She has just the right touch. The whole experience was a treat, next time I won't wait so long to use my certificate.

I booked a couples massage with the spa and was really excited- from the reviews it appeared that this spa would be great. The phone service was impeccable...until we arrived at the spa and the women at the desk barely payed attention to us. She acted as if we were pan handling and being a bother to her. We somehow arrived 30 minutes early even though the woman on the phone told me to arrive 15 minute before the appt. We were sent away and told to return closer to our appt time (even though I had confirmed on the phone 2 times about our appt time.) After we returned 30 minutes later we were then treated to another round of ignoring and rudeness by the receptionist along with a an additional 15 minute wait. While the massage and the massage therapists were kind and very good- the experience felt very "non spa like" and left us with some stress - due to the rude receptionist. Upon completion of the massage- we realized that we did not get our advertised service and were then begrudgingly given a $20 "discount"- if you want a great massage with borderline rude service then you should go here. IF not, there are far better day spas in the Seattle area (sans the rude receptionist.)

I just had the best pedicure of my life with Hong at Eastside Oasis. My feet are heavily calloused, and she soaked them repeatedly and used several methods until she was satisfied by their appearance. Let me tell you, she has very high standards! They looked so great I decided not to polish them.
I will definitely use her exclusively for my nails.

I have had massages all over the United States, England, China, etc. and Eastside Oasis has the best massage therapists I have found. The body scrub, shower and massage package make a very relaxing combo. I have gone to Eastside for several years and am really amazed that they always have such great massage therapists. The surroundings are relaxed--don't expect a posh environment---go with the idea of getting a great massage at a resonable price.

I recently visited Eastside for some last minute waxing and nails and had a great experience. I can't remember the name of the girl who did my nails but they turned out perfect, and Stacie did my waxing, including a brazilian-which I was very nervous about but she was very personable and made me feel so comfortable. I will definitely be back to see them both.

Wow, the reviews on this spa are so inconsistent! I wonder if the same person might be reposting? Maybe not, anyhow I was referred here by a friend to get a brazilian. She charges $40 for the brazilians and that was the cheapest I could find in Seattle. I went probably five or siz times over a few months and was always helped by the owner. I can see why people would call her rude, she is very quiet and serious. I think she is a nice person, just quiet. I am the same way so I can kind of relate. But then again, she might be in the wrong business , because people should be extra courteous and friendly and outgoing in the spa industry.

The reason I stopped going is because while she got most everything off on the brazilian, she did leave spots here and there. A well experienced waxer should be able to get everything quickly and tolerably. The last time I went she wasnt there when I got there, and the receptionist called her repeatedly, in between the calls she told me "no ones picking up, I dont know where she is". Finally she must have got ahold of the owner who strolled in 30 minutes past my appointment time and offered a very incinsere "sorry". Then she said she would take $5 off of my wax for the fact I waited, Okay well how about half off or a better apology?

Anyway ladies there is a place in downtown kirkland that I found that charges $25 for a brazilian! The owner does them, she is so sweet and funny and nice! She calms you, she is quick, she gets in there and gets it done! Nail and you, or nail for you??? Its in a brick shopping complex near a park/baseball field.

It's a great place to spend the day! I have been a customer at the Eastside Oasis for almost an year and it's been a great experience. The place got just renovated and is even more welcoming now. The masseuses are wonderful and the estheticialns are terrific. EXCELLENT Service! The prices are very affordable for the service provided!
I would definitely recommend the Spa for anyone who is looking on how to spend an afternoon at their leisure. The place is also open seven days per week and work late during the week. Perfect work hours that accommodate everyone's busy schedule!

This is anything but a spa. I received a gift certificate and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was dirty , the floors in the massage room were filthy and the walls dinghy! I would not recommend this place at ALL if you are looking for a real spa experience.

I have been going to the EO for about 5 years now. I was one of the very first clients. I originally saw the owner, Charlene and loved my massage & spa services with her. It seems she is always there now even after 5 years and always remembers my name and is still great with all the clients in the reception. I love the remodel they have done. It isn't quite finished but the cork floors and beautiful pedicure chairs are great. I have never been disappointed by any of the staff and want to take this opportunity to thank Charlene for having such a nice, comfortable and affordable place for me to keep going to and referring my friends and family to. My new favorites are Hong for manicure and pedicure, Athena for my Facial, Ashley, Makeda or Debra for deep tissue massage and Stacy for waxing. I know you can't please everyone but in 5 years I think they come close.

My friends and I had planned for a group visit to a spa, and found Eastside Oasis. The prices sounded great, but when we walked in you quickly realize that you get what you pay for, and this is no oasis! The woman (who I found out was the owner) was rude and acted as if we were ruining her life just by being there. The massages were great and the staff was friendly (no complaints there) but the 1 star reflects the attitude of the woman at the front desk, the undesirable surroundings, and the gas station like bathrooms, which were horrible. I would never recommend this place, not even as a joke.

I scheduled a couples massage for my husband and I originally for 3:30pm, but asked receptionist if I could schedule a sauna and shower also, she said we would have sauna first, then shower after massage, appt changed to 3 because sauna takes 1/2 hour.On day of massage, we were running late, I called ahead, the phone lines were not working, I had to leave a voicemail, I said we could just cancel sauna but that we would be there in time for massage and shower. We arrive, and the receptionist greeted me by name as she had gotten my message, she said sorry but we could not do sauna as we were late, so she scheduled someone else...all fine.We had our massages, which were WONDERFUL. But after massages were finished, after having oil put all over us, including in my long hair, I asked how we get to the showers?I said we scheduled them for after the massage. Masseuse said she needed to talk to reception, she came back said, Im sorry but Charlene (I believe that was her name) said there was a scheduling issue, but next time we will definitely get one! We had dinner plans so I was very upset now we had to go out with oil all over us. Reception asks how the massages were, I say wonderful, but Im upset that our showers were not available. She starts talking to me nasty tone, condescending, saying that we were late so she had to schedule someone else, and I said yes, but I called, and shower is AFTER massage, which she knew we would make. She says, our phones dont work, I say, that is not my fault, and you GOT my message, she tried to lie to me, and says I didnt know if you were coming--again-- I called, she got message, no apologies from her at all no offer of discount, no customer service, just blame. Where did they find this receptionist, and if she is the owner, they will not be in business long. I am an easy going person, but she really mad me angry. Knew it was Anniversary, still no apology. I guess you really do PAY more for actual CUSTOMER service. Wont be back here.

Far as spa goes, people who were providing spa services were great... seemed well skilled, kind, and comfortable. However, I was displease with making the appointment. I suppose it would have been easier if I was going there alone but for group, not so accommodating. For one thing, when I called back to upgrade certain people?s services and told one of receptionists other alternatives if its not possible, she made it sound as if all my requests were possible so no need for alternatives. But when I got there, the services that were requested weren?t all available so some had to settle for something they weren?t interested in.

Also, when I signed up for group spa for a bridal shower, I expected to able to talk and enjoy services with each other as we were being pampered. However, in this place, when few of us who were done with the service early start talking to people who were getting manicures and pedicures, we were asked to sit in the front office and wait because we are disturbing the other clients who are getting massages in other rooms. I don?t believer we were particular loud for few girls talking in a room for one thing and also, the whole idea of getting spa treatment together was to get pampered and enjoy the service together. My goal was not to get the services as it was more to have fun with each other to celebrate. Even though I think staffs who were providing the services were great, I was highly disappointed with the service I received from the receptionist overall. I personally would not go back and I do not recommend for group spa experience.

My daughter got me a package for Mother's Day! We went today Saturday the 12th of May and had a great experience. We both had facials that were to die for! I went in with the beginning of a migraine and was feeling on cloud nine at the end. Then we had manicures and pedicures which I loved. My daughter's wasn't as great but the woman that did hers doesn't work their normally. Anyway, I give them 5 stars!

I went to Eastside Oasis last week for a last minute facial. I was very pleased that they were able to get me in with such short notice. My esthetician was Athena - and WOW! I have been getting facials for about 15-years now and this was by far the BEST facial I've ever experienced. She was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns regarding my skin. She offered me great suggestions to help sooth my sensitive skin. Athena was very courteous and has a great touch! Schedule your next facial appointment at Eastside Oasis and ask for Athena!

For our 1 year anniversary, I took my sig-o to Eastside Oasis for a couples massage. What a great treat!!

I can?t think of a better way to celebrate such a significant event together. I look forward to my 2nd, 3rd, and onward anniversary - I am sure Eastside Oasis will be a part of the day.

Thank you Eastside Oasis.

We decided to do a Spa day at Oasis after seeing the Pumpkin-Pumpkin Spa Package. in a direct mail magazine. $147 for 3 1/2 hours of pampering sounded great, a bit skeptical though- quite a list for that price. It was AWESOME! We were greeted immediately, whisked right in, given comfy robes and slippers, then a foot soak with chai tea to sip. After a great sauna, full pumpkin body scrub and the BEST scalp massage I've ever had! Smelled so good! After a shower, a full 60 minute massage (I think, it actually felt longer). The therapist asked me questions beforehand, and really followed my requests! Then came the little fruit and cheese snack, off for 60 minute facials, which was good, Christina was really knowlegable. The whole time we just caught glimpses of other people, they timed it really well. Cant believe we got all that for $147.
Overall I was SO impressed, I really wasn't expecting a lot for the price, and the reviews on CS are really conflicting - althoug I was pretty skeptical, I think those gals expected Canyon Ranch, because the facility is very clean and private with great service - everyone was so personable and prompt, and I'm VERY picky about that. Its not Jeremy Todd lux - its smaller than others and in an office park, but the inside is nice and I'd rather go twice to a clean, quiet, relaxing place with free parking than pay for lux anyway - and that's just what we are doing next week for BFF's birthday!! I'm addicted. Highly recommended!

I went there for my birthday. I got a pedicure and massage. I first got my pedicure and the girl was nice but the atmosphere was disgusting! I sat in an uncomfortable chair and it was more of a chore trying to hold my feet up! The place where I get my regular pedicures feels more like an ?oasis?. After the pedicure I had my massage. They didn?t give me anything to wear on my feet so I had to walk on their dirty sandy floor! So disgusting! The massage therapist was nice and she did a pretty good job but I felt so disgusting about the atmosphere and my bad pedicure! Seriously it may look cheap but bad bad idea!!!

I had a message here for Valentines Day. I was dissapointed to see such a mess when I walked in. The slippers that were given to me were wet. The floors were dirty. The ambiance was horrible. Felt like a $10 pedicure place instead of a spa. The message was fine for the price but I won't go back as I didn't think the place was clean. Oh, the sheets and blankets are very old. I am surprised that this location had a rating of 9.3 on here.

For the bargain spa hunter, try their monthly "special" (around $140 for 3 hours of treatment). The digs are modest (think office park not luxury hotel) but the services themselves were well done. They didn't do a hard product sell (which I detest at spas). If you aren't snobby about spas, this may be a good place for you to try.

As an Eastsider, it's been tough to find a good place to get a Brazilian wax. However, I've found a new favorite! As far as service goes, they are very professional, thorough and try to minimize pain as much as possible. Prices are reasonable and the location is convenient. The one downside is the ambiance - it definitely feels more like retail doctor space than a spa, but overall, I definitely plan on going back.

I was completely disappointed from the time I walked in to the time I left. The reception area is very messy and old. Back desk area is filled with papers. All the towels. robes, and sheets are old, stained and torn. My little snack had mildewed grapes, obviously too old for consumption, a couple of Ritz crackers, not packaged, and cheese, packaged thank goodness. Maintenance rooms were left open and very visible, filled to the brim with mess and junk. Sanitation is a big question. The woman who did my facial was completely uninvolved, she couldn't have cared less. Facility is very small so privacy is an issue. I wouldn't go back even if it were free.

The place is small and somewhat clinical, but for the prices and actual service, you can overlook that. The monthly specials are really worth it, and there hasn't been any other place that I've found that can top the value and service. However, skip the sauna because it looks like a small coffin with lights in it...not for the claustrophobic.

So many spas to choose from make it impossible for anyone to believe this one gets repeat customers. Underground dungeon, cold, seriously lacking in peaceful ambience for facials, and minimal offerings for facials that actually address anything beyond a good cleaning. Dermalogica is used all over town because it's cheap. For a real facial that can enact some changes and improvements against the aging process, I highly recommend you choose another spa. This one is in the business for the owner, not for the customer.

I like the fact that they remember your first name and treat customers with respect. It's a very affordable spa that renders excellent services. They have a variety of services from massages to manicures and pedicures. The location is excellent because it's a peaceful environment away from traffic. The place is nice it doesn't have the frilly lighting and fake environment. It's a relaxing environment where one can be rejuvenated and feel at home. The staff is very professional and listens to what the customer wants implemented.

Rude owner left me waiting at the front desk for nearly 10 minutes while she visited with the chiropractor's personnel in the same facility. The reception area smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Facility is dark, and dirty. I would not have anything other than a massage at this place for fear of the absence of sanitary/cleanliness. I don't think my standards are too high, this place really is dirty.

I just wanted to share that I got a spa pedi from Lisa and she gave me the best pedi I have ever had! She began my service by asking me exactly what I wanted done, and did just that. She paid great attention to detail and and gave a fantastic foot and leg massage. I definitely recommend going to see Lisa for your pedicures (and I made my next appointment before I left and added a manicure to it)!

My friend and I did the massage, facial, manicure, salt scrub, and swedish shower--what a disappointment even for the low price. The massage hurt (even after asking for lighter pressure), towels looked like they were 9 years old, the swedish shower was out of hot water after my friend had used it, and no soap in bathroom. I was so cold when I got out that I had to warm up in the sauna again. The manicure lady spent the whole time telling me how bad her life was going. The spa itself looks like it is an old dentist's office--it's pretty cramped and not a relaxing atmosphere. I seriously do not know how it has this high of a rating from other users.

This is the BEST kept secret in Bellevue!!! I have been going to Gene Juarez for years. I felt so much more relaxed, and the spa did what was intended...made me feel great, rather than just ritzi with the HOPE of feeling great.

Just a massage, and 3 days later, still no numb fingers!

Thanks!

Pros: All in 1 room experience

I was recently involved in an auto accident and have been going to the Eastside Oasis Day Spa for massage therapy. (They accept P.I.P.!)

Eve, my massage therapist, is amazing! Not only does she give a GREAT massage, she is extremely friendly and caring. What has really blown me away is her genuine passion for helping others. She is one of the few individuals (since my accident) that's taken the time to really listen to my concerns and address them. She's very knowledgable and has educated me a great deal on what's going on with my body. I know I can count on Eve to help me calm my nerves and ease my pain, and really look forward to my appointments.

The rest of the staff has been fantastic as well. I'm always greeted with a smile when I arrive. I HIGHLY recommend that you go there! They offer a variety of services, which I can't wait to try out once I recover. :-)

Cons: I'm always tempted to spend $ on spa products I don't need. ;-)

I've been to the Eastside Oasis a few times, and they have the most amazing massage therapists. What really makes this place great is that it's a small business, with lots of little extras that you won't find in the larger chains. The montly package specials are total bargains- I got a foot soak, beverage, infrared sauna, body scrub, scalp massage, and shower in addition to a full hour massage for under $100! That's a deal you won't find anywhere else. For people who are tired of paying extra for a fancy location, and who want great service this place is great.

I was excited when my fiance and I decided to go get the couple's massage at Eastside Oasis to relax from wedding planning stress, only to come out not only unrested but also perturbed. After waiting about 15 minutes to be taken to the room, we were given warm foot baths to relax us before our massage. Well, we sat with our feet in the foot bath for so long that it became cold before anyone came back! We estimated that we sat there for at least 20 minutes. The massage was mediocre and the atmosphere wasn't particularly relaxing. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

My friend and I were so excited about trying this spa due to the reviews here. Usually when leaving a spa, you should feel euphoric and happy, not angry and upset. We both has 3 1/2 hour packages. I was done in 3 hours (my facial was cut 30 minutes short, without an explanation), and my friend was still waiting for her manicure at the 3 1/2 hr. mark. We had to leave and she never got her manicure and still paid for it! The atmosphere was depressing and unprofessional. When checking out, we were promised a call from the owner, which was never received. My email was not returned. I would suggest going to a beauty school instead of this place, if on a budget. I'm now questioning the authenticity of some of these reviews.
