We have been very happy with Dr. Schade and Jessie. They have both been very helpful in helping us care for our aging cat.\n\nWe love the small, cat only practice. Our cat likes it too. The clinic is very calm and we get very personal attention.\n\nDr Schade is open to new approaches to treating CRF and finding what works best for us and our cat. We are very grateful to have new tools to use to improve the quality of our cat's life. She is very understanding that much of our success depends on our cat, and we work together and adjust as necessary.\n\nWe have been going to Cat Clinic for 11 years and look forward to many more years of excellent veterinary care for our cat.

After going to Dr. Romatowski and his assistant Wendy for a over 10 years with our 4 cats and receiving excellent care, I was hesitant to go to the new vet not knowing if she would live up to my expectations. After taking 3 of my cats to her in the last month with health issues I can say I am just as impressed with the new owner Dr. Schade and her assistant Jessie. They are both very comfortable and relaxed with my cats and me. Also, they were willing to answer my numerous questions and explain things in a non-technical way that I could understand. They were up front about the cost of any procedures and the pros/cons of doing them. Prior to Dr. R. and Wendy leaving they both had worked with Dr. S. for a while and said she was a good vet without any hesitation. I would still recommend this clinic to everyone I know.

I have 2 Cats that see Dr Romatowski...he is very experienced and knows what he is doing when it comes to cats. I am very happy that it is a CATS only clinic. Both of my cats are extremely calm there and do not have issues. The costs are very reasonable. I have been very impressed and would not go to go any other Clinic.\r\nDeb H

I've had a cat for 5 years and this is the first time I found a vet that I intend to stay with. We called to make an appointment and they were able to see us the very next morning. They took photos for my records to keep of the procedure before & after. I can't thank Dr Romatowski enough! He's by far the best vet I've ever had and his assistant was so friendly & knowledgeable. My cat was in & out and healed in just two weeks. Not only was this the best experience I ever had, but it was the most affordable as well.

After much research online, I came across some really good reviews regarding Dr. Joseph Romatowski. I decided to give him a try and have never turned back. He is a wonderful vet. Very knowledgeable and really knows his stuff regarding cats. I have brought in three of our cats to him and have had wonderful experiences with the way he treated all three of them. Now, I should say that I'm some what hard on vets, because we consider our cats as our children. Saying that, we have been to several that never met up to my standards until know. Dr. Romatoski's prices are fantastic, his care is outstanding, and he is always willing to help in anyway possible. I have recommended him to everyone I know. Please give him a try. You will not be disappointed!

Pros: Intelligent and Knowledgeable. One of the best vets ever!

Cons: There are none!

Dr. Joe Romatowski was the best. He retired and the new vet told me she will not continue with my cat's regime - which has kept him alive and well for the past 18 months with cancer - because ""She doesn't do it that way."" She wouldn't even listen to me when I told her his leg and hip are too sore and he should give him his shot in the neck. ""I don't do it that way."" So we are looking for a new vet and Dr. Romatowski will be hard to replace.

Pros: Great care for great prices

One of my kittys had to have all his teeth pulled and for some reason I thought I should keep them. Even though it was after hours and Im sure she would have wanted to do anything else, Wendy helped my dig through the trash for Bubbas teeth. Now thats customer service! Dr. R is alway ready to answer questions and will explain things until you really do understand. Its easy to see that they both really care about your animal.

Dr. Romatowski and his assistant Wendy have to be the most caring people I've ever met. I've taken Stolli there for several years and they treat us like family. I recently lost Stolli to old age and diabetes. Dr. Romatowski and Wendy were so compassionate and helped me thru one of the hardest times of my life. I can't say enough nice things about them. I've been to plenty of vets but no like Dr. Romatowski. We will never go anywhere else.

Despite the proximity of their names, do NOT confuse this business with the Cat Clinic of Seattle:\r\n\r\nI was very impressed by this dedicated cat clinic just talking to the staff on the telephone.\r\n\r\nThe vet technician's genuine concern for my cat--and by extension, for myself--was evident. Pros: Excellent veterinarian, small clinic with personal attention, reasonable fees

Cons: Practically in Shoreline, but it's worth it if you don't mind driving

Dr. Romatowski, the owner-vet, himself has impeccable "academic credentials (Princeton, Penn) and published scholarly articles.

He is also very thorough. I sought a secondary opinion on my cat's health from him, and the office visit I received was the best one my cat and I have had. He was cordial, warm, knowledgeable, caring.

Unfortunately, the follow-up after the laboratory test was considerably less than ideal, with my having to call to try to find out the results. Dr. Romatowski left a short message on my answering machine that was not altogether clear about the results.

Two days after I emailed without getting a response to a fairly innocuous, straightforward question about a supplement that I had forgotten to ask him about in person, I called the office and asked if he were available (he had said in the message that if I had questions on the lab results I should call him) I was told that he had been very busy the past two days and that instead of calling him again on another day at a specific time, he would call me the same evening at around 6:00 if I would be home. I replied that I would make an effort to be back around then. But he never called back, so I felt left "hanging."

I guess I will just drop the matter (I needed clarification as to whether to continue a certain injection at home, as his message had been fairly ambiguous on that count). It seemed more trouble than it was worth.

The quality of the office visit was consistent with the high scores received by this clinic on Checkbook.org's 2003 survey of about 100 Puget Sound area veterinarians

We've been taking our cats to Dr. Romatowski for seven years now. He's so very kind, personable, and knowledgeable. He truly loves cats and he's given us excellent advice on taking care of all sorts of cat health and behaviour issues. I have known many great vets, and he's right at the top of the list.

Our former Vet suggested our cat had behavioural problems that required a specialist in Lynnwood. She said that that the ONLY behavioural specialist in Seattle. I looked up The Cat Clinic of NE Seattle to get a second opinion and not only were the super friendly and great with our cat, they gave us some meds which took care of her overgrooming problem. Her hair has grown back and she's doing well. I highly recommened Joseph Romatowski. He's not ""Strange"" as the other commenter states. He's always been very caring about our kitty and the receptionist Jenny is great as well. HIIIIIIGHLY recommend!\r\nOh yea, and he's super fair about pricing. It was totally reasonable. The other place was charging us up the wazoo.

Didn't seem very well organized. Cancel my cat's surgery with only a couple of hours notice and didn't really have a reason. Came across as a bit strange.

I took my cats to this clinic when I lived in Seattle, and they always made me and my cats feel welcomed. My friend from work told me about this place when I first got my kitty. Dr. Romatowski is a good vet, and explain things in ways that I can understand. Price is reasonable.

My cat was going through a terrible fit of scratching ang losing hair after I returned from vacation. I called the Cat Clinic and got an appointment the same day to take her in. The front desk staff was very nice and the doctor immediately found the problem (fleas! How did I miss that?). He explained the life cycle of fleas and how to effectively treat them, and spent time expaining the different flea treatment products. I never felt rushed. He seemed to genuinely care about my cat's health.

While living in Seattle, Dr Romatowski had seen both of our cats for checkups and physicals. In August, Dr Romatowski notified us that our beloved cat, Penelope, had squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. He was very kind in her treatment, which was mainly pallative since her cancer was inoperable and her prognosis for life was poor. His staff was very caring and supportive as we had to deal with this horrific news. The office hours are very flexible and we were always able to get an appointment within a day (usually the same day) that we called with a problem. Their prices are fair and their treatment of cats is absolutely humane and compassionate. As soon as I return to Seattle, Dr Romatowski will again be my vet of choice for my kitties.

PROS: Kind, Compassionate, Caring
CONS: none
