After months of grief with building plans, designers, engineers, "has beens and wanna bees," I reached the breaking point of no return on trying to get our buildings underway. I discoverd Carls by way of some web site and took a brief interests months ago before being buried by the details of these "professionals." Now, returning to my own resources I contacted Carls again and found them to be the first sign of hope. Terry, a salesperson, donated his time and patience via telephone to help filter through the issues at hand to get a lumber order on site for the framer. They not only were competitive in price, but their inventory surprised me for being a small single shop. We had particular demands to get quality lumber, kiln dried, and at a reasonable price. In addition, we had special needs of more desirable lumber, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Architectural Grade T&G to match etc. We are going to receive our first order in a few days, and I am at last confident that we will get our structures built with quality lumber. They offer a personal service that we were previously paying a "professional" to do, which we never received: the material take off. I will update my review after we progress, hopefully, the stars in the rating category are all filled in for the remaining of the project.
