4 Stars: Good beers and food, sometimes music (by Lori S.)

This is a little hole in the wall pub that is a nice neighborhood hang-out. They have music on weekends (sometimes a little guitar duo, sometimes a band). Decent food, decent prices.

4 Stars: Great Ballard Pub (by Tess T.)

This is one of the great little pubs along Ballard Avenue. They have an awesome German beer selection and great drink specials every night! Their food is excellent and if you go at happy hour, the fish and chips is only $5 and is a tasty treat. My friends and I love to stop here on Friday night when we're out in Ballard.
PROS: Great bar food
CONS: Sometimes it's hard to find a table in the bar on Friday or Saturday night.

4 Stars: German beer and fried pickles! (by J W.)

A nice German pub located in Ballard. They have a good selection of German beers on tap, and besides that the other main attraction for me is the fried dill pickles available on their appetizer menu. They may sound strange (and I'm not generally a big fan of these kinds of fried foods), but truly you have to try these to believe it! They're salty but incredibly good, especially in the spectacular mustard sauce they're served with (and I'm not usually a big fan of mustard either!)
