The Best Service, Never a long wait. Great Food, Great Prices. I have ate at all the Teriyaki places in town, But this is certainly the Best in all ratings.

This restaurant has some of the best dishes I have ever experienced!! The dishes here are cooked with the freshest ingredients and the chef has the now how to put all these flavors together the proper way. It is a great sit down restaurant or takeout! All meals are cooked to order and do not take very long to get and begin to enjoy! The waitress that works there is super nice and is very informative about all the dishes if you have any questions. She is so friendly and nice to visit/talk with. Overall one of the best little, perhaps unknown restaurants in town.

The Umi Teriyaki Restaurant isn't much to look at but boy do they have great food. The prices are very reasonable but once you taste their teriyaki chicken and rice you really don't care about the cost. This is a must place to go in Longview.

Umi is the best restaurant in town that no one seems to know about! They're tucked in back of the Subway strip mall out on the west end of Ocean Beach Hwy 4 near Henri's, and are easy to miss, but a shame not to patronize.

The owners used to have a similar place downtown, which they sold. Their food is very tasty and well cooked. Having eaten good teriyaki in many fine restaurants in NJ/NYC, I personally think that the owner/chef here borders on genius. The sauces and their own special salad dressing are homemade. The 3 everyday/ anytime chicken teriyaki specials are the best deal in town at $5.65 with tax! Everything that I've eaten there has been good, and I discovered them 4 years ago.

You get a fresh salad, dressing and sauce with a takeout order, or the salad with miso soup and green tea included in the price of the meal if you eat in. The fried rice is lightly fried, delicate, and doesn't use a lot of soy sauce, not typical of restaurant fare in this area. Their fried tofu and vegetables is almost perfect if it's a dish that you like (snow peas would make it perfect for me).

I love this restaurant and eat there at least once a week, and they just reopened on Saturdays from noon - 8pm. It's pretty small but has a nice atmosphere. The lady who works there at night is one of the most pleasant people that you'll ever meet. Everyone that I've introduced to the place has been very pleased with the quality of the food and they've all become regulars!
