We have gone to the Downtown Santa ever since it was Frederick and Nelson's. We continue with the tradition. Unfortunately this year was VERY DISAPPOINTING. On Christmas Eve we called to check on the closing time and was told 4pm, we arrived at 1:45pm and was told the line to Santa was closed. After having to contact the manager in charge and waiting 15 minutes they finally let us in!!! The line was the usual 2 hour wait. When getting to the front of the line, we were RUSHED. At the time it seemed like the photographer didn't even get a shot.Of course this was proven when I picked up our photos. We had two sets. One set of all the children (cousins) and the second set was for the siblings. BOTH SETS my daughters eyes were half way shut! Can't believe this was the BEST SHOT for both sittings. An amatuer photographer could have done a better job.

These are the only Santa photos worth getting. We've taken our children every year to Nordstrom and wouldn't consider wasting our money elsewhere. Our tip: head to a mall Nordstrom on a weekday during school hours and avoid the downtown line. This year there was no wait and no one behind us, so the kids had time to warm up and we got the best photo yet. We've also discovered our favorite, real-bearded "Santa" at the Southcenter store and have been able to have him in three years' pictures. The prices are much lower than I expected and haven't gone up in several years (since we've been going).

It's very important to us to get Santa photos taken of our son every year. We have found the best Santa and the best pictures all in one. If you go to Nordstrom in downtown Seattle during Christmas, you will get the best picture taken that you could imagine. We've gone two years in a row now and will continue until our son refuses!
