We took our 1985 Lindy Motor home with a 460 Ford Engine to them over a month ago and just got it back today with a bill of over $1,000. When we took it in it was having problems with what seemed like a fuel line or vacuum leak problem. They said no problem, couldn't get to it till Monday (this was a Friday). Almost 2 weeks later they called said that it probably needed a carbuerator replaced which would cost about $700. When they called again yesterday they said they hadn't put a carbuerator in but had done other work on, checking vacuum lines, etc. and had put in over 8 hours work on it, but it ran perfectly. We picked it up today and could get it home without going 25 miles an hour. This is not what I call running perfectly!!! when I called them back to let them know, they just said we put the hours in. I've already told friends not to use this Blake Auto Repair and called the car dealership and told them not to refer them anymore. Now we still have to have the work done on this to get a new carbuerator or what ever the problem is. Do not use this company.

I recently took my car here for an oil change. They did a good job, however, they did put an extra part and charged me for it without my consent ahead of time. I wasn't too happy about, it needed to be fixed, but a call for my permission would have been nice. Their location is on a one way street and is difficult to find parking if the front of the building is full. You have to go around the building again to find where to pull in. The first door is locked so it gives the impression they are closed, but then the 2nd door is the one you go through. The cashier/front desk person window is not situated directly in front of the door so you have to peek in the window for the receptionist to even see you. The waiting area is very dark and cold too.
PROS: Price was ok for an oil change.
CONS: Location, performing additional services on my car I did not authorize.
