Spa Noir

I've been coming here regularly every month since I moved to Seattle, almost two years ago and felt I finally needed to share. I look forward to my visit every month. My eyebrows are always perfect because of Jessica and if I splurge to get my nails done, they are always beautifully done. Not much else is needed to say; I love the people who work there, the atmosphere and the end results. Why wouldn't you choose this place? PS: You too will fall in love with King when you meet him! I play with him everytime I'm there!

This spa is like nothing else in the city! You can hardly tell from the outside but when you walk through the doors and smell the delicious eminence products and the aromatic candles you feel right at home. They play great music and offer wonderful services with reasonable prices and the spa is dark and luxurious, no fake "spa girls", just real live down to earth passionate women who love helping all of us feel wonderful

The massages and facials are to die for! Go spend a weekend with these girls, you will not regret it!

I highly recommend this place. Amazing atmosphere. Jessica and the other ladies and ofcourse King (cute dog) are wonderful! The new place is quiet and decent. The services are excellent. The before and after effect is noticable and trust me... in a good way! I do not have breakouts as often as i used to and the skin texture has improved significantly. The only time i feel sad is when the aesthetician says "We are done and its time for you to go home" :). You will definitely ask for more and will surely come back. You feel completely relaxed and calm after you get a massage or a facial. I will definitely suggest to go for a facial by Jessica and massage by Collin.

I have had two great facials at Spa Noir...one with CJ and one with Jessica. Both were very attentive, engaging and knowledgable. I like the low key, relaxing atmosphere -- different from the larger, louder and more corporate feeling spas. Would highly recommend getting a facial at Spa Noir.

Well to be honest I first have to say that I have never had a facial before this one...but through a stroke of good fortune I got to spend an hour with Cj of Spa Noir. The experience was totally one of the best hours of my life. Cj is very professional, magical, and makes you feel like a movie star. My skin looked great and I was just as relaxed as if I had a full body massage. I look forward to my next hour with Cj and would urge anyone who desires to be pampered to spend some time with her. As for the acutal spa, the atmosphere was trendy, dark and tranquil with an eclectic mix of music.

I love Spa Noir. My parents got me a bunch of spa treatments for my 24th birthday, and I loved all of the them. CJ, the esthetician who did my facial and eyebrow wax, was fantastic. My skin was glowing after the 40 minute facial, and she did a great (and fast) job of shaping my eyebrows. Jessica, who did my express mani/pedi, was really fun and did a great job as well. I had a short massage as well, and it was OK. It was too short to really be satisfying.

The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing, and the music they play is very cool...French vocal jazz, hip hop, and everything in between. Just my style. The only thing I don't like is that the location (2nd & Bell) has quite a few nefarious characters hanging around the neighborhood. One guy kind of seemed to be following me as I walked to the spa, and when I ducked in the door, he winked and blew kisses at me through the window. Needless to say, when my treatments were over, I had my boyfriend pick me up at the door.

I also really liked the Pomeranian, King, who was guarding the place out by the reception desk. He belongs to Jessica (the owner), and he was such a little sweetie. Overall, I highly recommend Spa Noir and plan to make frequent visits for everything except massages. I will probably stick to the Dream Clinic for that.

When I moved to Seattle from SF, I was looking for a non-corporate spa that was chill and had cool people. After a little research, I found Spa Noir. Not only is the location great in Belltown (the only truly urban neighborhood in Seattle), but the people were so friendly and normal I knew I had found my spa. Unlike some of the more corporate spas, Spa Noir isn't constantly trying to sell you their products. Their number one goal is to provide superior treatments in a comfortable environment. Also, I could tell that the staff loved working there which is always a nice feeling. I will definitely be back for my pedicures, facials and massage!

Let me FIRST sstate that I have never been a "SPA" guy. Maintenence and the occasional massage is IT! However, I was orgnialy introdeucced to Spa Noir when I won a gift certificate at a charity auction. I originaly thought this was going tobe a typical salon...I was wrong! This is truly a reflection of Seattle at its finest and is an URBAN SALON. To that extent you may be greeted by a handsome Pomeraian, if you are lucky! To the thereapist that greats you whom may have a flower in her hair, have a tattoo, or piercings. These are people who are very in touch with there bodies, as a result they are no nonsense address whatever treatment it is that you are there for.The are highly trained. I have raveled the world anf the therapists here are on par with the best! The owner is very selective on the therapists that she hires and it shows. Do your self a favor, give youe self a treat, try something different! you wil not regret it! Then you can go acrross the street to Momma's kitche for a taco!!!

I've been in before on the last Tuesday and had the mani/pedi done (see previous review Nov 07) but never for the other services. This time, I booked me and my sis a couple months in advance for facials as well as the mani/pedi. It was quite the experience. It was great being able to get them together in the same room, the atmosphere was very relaxing, music was soothing, and the products they use are organic and all natural (and from Hungary none the less!). Constance was very amiable and soothing, I felt completely at ease and relaxed and afterwards my skin was rosy but had none of the harsh red tones of previous facials. My skin feels rejuvenated and renewed! I would highly recommend this treatment to others.
The mani/pedi was as great as ever...Jessica and Rosie (I think that is her name?) are fun and interesting to chat with during the service. Not to mention they both do an amazing job. We have already booked our next appointments!

Used to walk by this place ALL the time...not quite sure of the vibe. Finally tried CJ after many failed attempts at facials around the city. Home run kittens!!! She knew exactly what to take care of and didn't spend the whole time jabbering about personal issues or what I should buy. My skin looked gorgeous when I left and still looks exceptional after a couple of weeks. She made a little chart of suggested products and sent me on my way. YEAH! A spa with skin knowledge instead of BS! I loved it. The atmosphere may not be for everyone...black, velvety...more groove than opera. But the point is you're pay ing for proper skin care, not the philharmonic, right?

i totally adore this place. i am not very comfortable with spas - cannot stand the pretentious atmosphere of most. at spa noir, i feel like i am the only person there and pampered as such (minus any stuffy, salon attitude). Jessica has done an amazing job on my eyebrows and her facials make my face feel brand new. i have received one of the best massages i've ever had with Amy. plus they are happy to educate their clients on ways to stay beautiful and relaxed in-between visits. the cherry-on-top, is the organic products & the super punk prices!

I received a gift certificate a while ago and I just keep coming back for more! I have received almost all the different services here and I have enjoyed every bit. The ambiance is very rich and cozy, and everything always seems very neat and clean.The staff is friendly relaxed and knows their stuff, from the receptionist to the technicians. I ask questions about everything- products, experience, sanitation, sterilization etc- always answered with confidence and patience. Also if you rebook while you are in there you get a nice discount for your next appointment! Nice to feel like you are appreciated!!! Great music selection and always smells delicious.
Do give yourself time to find parking in the weekend evenings, it is there(check third) but takes some time to find!

There are pros and cons to this spa. The services were really good, the prices are good, the people were super nice. It has a different vibe that isn't for everyone though. It's dark and hip, which I'm sure some people would like but it wasn't exactly the atmosphere I was looking for that day. Parking was a pain but that was probably due to the time of day I went. They have great hours so I'm sure you can have a better parking experience if you go at different times. I really liked the products they use and they offer some good discounts. The dog thing did turn me off a bit. It doesnt seem very hygienic to have pets in a spa. I'm not a dog person but even if I was i thought it was odd and a bit noisy. THis spa is not a slam dunk but it has alot of good attributes and I'll probably go back, at a different time of day and hopefully when the dog isn't there.

I was so nervous to get my first waxing, but I was going on a cruise and wanted to look good!! A friend recommended I go see CJ at Spa Noir and now I have to recommend her too! I told her I was really nervous and she talked me through the process. She did a little test strip and before I knew it, I was laughing and hairless. I'll never shave again.

I must be lucky because I booked a brazilian with Spa Noir and lo and behold CJ was my waxer! I had always gone to CJ before at another spa and....here she is. CJ gives the fastest, most thorough, all business waxing. All with a sense of humor. Thank you CJ! Plus....CJ has the most amazing eyebrows!! I want eyebrows like hers....

I got a facial today from CJ and i really enjoyed my experience. I've only had one facial before and it involved cucumbers and dial soap. This was nothing like that one. The environment and decor at spa noir are really nice and relaxing. I liked the fact that the walls are all dark. The products that they used were also super nice and my skin, after only one facial looks and feels amazing!! I know that CJ is a notoriously fantastic waxer (she waxes pretty much everyone i know), but it turns out she does a mean facial too! Yay Cj! Go! See her!

Kat the receptionist and Jessica the owner provide outstanding customer service. I've been seeing Jessica over a year now and she makes my skin glow. She always offers advice and never tries to sell you the store. They have product lines for every budget. I love that they offer discounts if you book your appointment in advance. The late hours and being open on the weekend is a plus. I love that they use organic products, they smell great, and make your skin feel great.

Spa Noir is addictive.

I've been going to Spa Noir to see Ishell for massage for almost a year. Sometimes as many as 3 times a month. Ishell is a extraordinary person and a true professional. She has helped me to maintain a healthy and stress free lifestyle. She is so calming, and puts me at ease every time I go. I very much look forward to my visits with her. And as a designer, I love Spa Noir's beautiful dark exotic rooms that let you completely forget about everything.

I worked with Jessica last April for a Bachelorette Party in store. She was VERY helpful in planning it out, and closing the place down to the public for a few hours, so we could have a private party. I didn't have much in the way of services, but I appreciated their helpfulness, and the atmosphere is just as wonderful as the pictures show. If you like the pictures, you'll love it in person.

I highly recommend Spa Noir. It's not the typical stuffy, sterile spa. It is comfortable and the people that work there are very friendly and personable.
I also suugest organizing a "spa party" if you are interested in a special treat for a birthday, baby shower, bridal shower, etc. I have thrown 4 spa parties and my friends always ask when the next one will be held! (They are VERY easy to organize!)
I love the unique art and products available (Pacifica candles, neat lip glosses, lotions, jewelry, etc.). This is definitely one of my favorite Seattle "finds"!

A few monthes ago I had my first appontment with Christine to get my eybrows done. The place is super cozy and everyone is really nice. Christine was amazing. She is so friendly and made me very comfortable. I found her to have an incredibly gentle touch while still getting the job done right. My lids, nomally tender after a wax, felt rejuvenated. I have since returned for other treatments and she has never failed me. I highly recomend her to anyone that needs a liitle hair be gone or a facial to take the stress away. She's great.

I have seen so many good reviews on this place so I was really excited when I got an appointment for a massage, I was totally disappointed. The person at the front desk was cool and the doggie was cute but that was as good of an experience that I had. The room that I had my massage in felt like a haunted house instead of a place to relax (the room was totally painted in black- yea I get it spa NOIR). Then, my massage therapist, who gave a mediocre massage at best, talked about herself the whole time!!! Hardly relaxing, not to mention the dog barking in the background. Needless to say I was incredibly dissapointed in my experience.

I never really was a spa person until I walked into Spa Noir. Their services are amazing and the people are incredible. You just don't find great service like this anymore. My pedicure lasted over a month. My face felt rejuvenated for days after a facial. And well, the waxing services are the least painful experience I've ever had.

I have a very busy schedule that usually stops me from making spa appointments in advance, but Spa Noir is so flexible and friendly they always find a way to work me in.

Spa Noir is also great for small spa parties. My marketing department thoroughly enjoyed our spa appreciation day there. And my VP thoroughly appreciate how expensive it was to spoil her employees for the afternoon.

Spa Noir is a unique place. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out!

Its not pretentious or sterile, and has a lovely boutique so you can shop for jewellery & skin care products while you wait.

I have been to Spa Noir several times and want to share why I am so happy to have discovered it. First off the customer service is excellent ! So far I have received a facial, massage, and several pedicures. I have been relaxed and satisfied every time. The minute you walk in the door you feel welcome, and never intimidated, pushed to buy, or rushed out the door which sadly does happen at many spas and salons. The prices are very reasonable, and there are so many fun products to discover and yummy candles to smell you will find yourself there long after you have been services have ended.

Attempted to make spa appointment for a special occassion online. The next day I received a voice-mail to call and confirm the time and length of the treatment which I did and left information on their voice-mail. Hearing nothing, I called back later in the afternoon to re-confirm and found out that they were not aware of my voice-mail and the appointment was given away. Big bummer and spoiled what was to be a wonderful evening--not necessarily Spa Noir's fault, but I encourage you to call until you get a "live body" on the phone, whach can be hard to do when they are with clients. Hey, live and learn!

I've lived in NY, San Francisco, and Paris, and we have a gem here in Seattle. I can count on my pedicure's beauty to remain for at least a month (although I run them to death). I always know I can leave a facial glowing (even after the longest of nights). The owner, Jessica, is up on every trend (the good and the bad). Best of all, this is a place where honest, informed beauty advice can still be found.

I have been getting massages for years... none to match those I receive at SPA NOIR.
I am a regular customer, and am amazed and so pleased with the investment the technichian takes in you on such a one on one basis. I refer people constantly. The decor is soothing, always on time, fun things in the boutique section. Jessica the owner, has made an investment in the community that will reap rewards for years to come. Keep up the good work !!! P.S. the facials and waxing are top notch too !!

Want one of the best massages in the city, after work and for a fair price? Spa Noir is amazing. It's obvious that the technicians and staff who work there come with a lot of experience and knowledge. I had the best massage there I have ever had. And it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I would recommend Spa Noir for its convenient hours, its intimate atmosphere, and yes, oh yes, its massage!

Looking for aplace where 3 friends could get together for an afternoon of manicures and pedicures. Spa Noir surpassed my expectations. The staff was completely accomodatingand skilled. As a man I used to shudder at the thought of going to a spa and getting a treatment. I thought that this was a luxury reserved only for my wife. After much prodding and pushing I entered Spa Noir for my first facial, manicure, peticure, and massage. I must admit that I never wanted to leave.
