Because of where it is in Belltown you are just as likely to find folks going there for drinks as for the Spicy Ranch Noodles. Either one is a valid reason to go. The wide range of noodle dishes they offer means you'll not run out of things to try. I thought they found a nice balance of flavors on the dishes I tried.

The first time I went to Noodle Ranch I wasn't to impressed. My friend later convinced me to give it another try, and so I did. We have been going there every Thursday after work for the past 6 months for their happy hour. We always order the same thing (2 orders of gyoza, 2 orders of tofu spring roll, spicy noodle ranch, and phad thai). All that food and it only cost it around $25. Their gyoza is to die for, I crave it all the time. During regular time their food is a little over price but go during their happy hour (Monday-Friday 3-7) and you'll get a great deal. Service is very friendly.

We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive and polite. I had the vegetable dumpling soup, and it wasn't the best, although the ingredients were very fresh tasting. Someone else in our group got the ranch noodles, and those were delicious. Probably not the most authentic food, but if you're looking for a decent bite on your lunch break that doesn't cost too much, this place has my recomendation.

I am always happy when I choose to dine out at The Noodle Ranch. Everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. The servers are so friendly and attentive. To top it off, it is all well-priced. Two people can leave stuffed for $20.

The Noodle Ranch has been one of my favorite places to eat for years. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. It was the first restaurant that I went to after moving back to Belltown. Try their yakisoba, green curry, or either of the noodle bowls.

I was completely surprised when we had dinner there. I was expecting some fantastic food but was disappointed when it was not authentic. The noodle that I had was on the sweet side. For the price, I'd rather go to the International District. The decor looks hip but it doesn't cover up the pipes above. The service wasn't bad.

Cool, minimalist decor and fabulous food. There's a reason their menu hasn't changed since it opened...they got it right the first time!

Having read some of the reviews on this site about the downright mean waitstaff, I kind of cringed when I went there with my friend and he, not seeing the Please Wait to Be Seated sign, immediately trundled off to grab a nice booth for the two of us. I followed along waiting for the axe to fall but, to my surprise, the waiter came up and smiled and welcomed us and swept away the two extra place settings. Service was friendly and prompt throughout the meal. The green curry was wonderful. Best I've had. I'll be back for sure.

Surrounded by a number of quirky establishments this place looks pretty normal despite looking a little weird in the picture above.

The food was alright, but not outstanding. Most importantly it did not feel authentic.

Ownership changed about a year ago and, unfortunately, some of the food has changed for the worse. Eating the pork in a couple of the pork dishes were like eating bland strips of leather (actually I can only imagine bland leather would taste like this). The management did not handle the complaint of the food very well and felt we just didn't want to pay the $26 food bill. Oh well, we won't be going back to Noodle Ranch.

This restaurant is preplexing. Some of the dishes are great, others are terrible. Stick with the pretty straightforward noodle dishes and don't get expiramental. The serivce is always good and the value is fair. There is just much better Thai/Vietnamese food in Seattle, that I am not inclined to go there.

This place has got some of the worst "asian" cuisine around. I guess if I didn't know anything about asian cuisine, specifically Vietnamese food, I guess this place would be okay. Seeing how I am Vietnamese and enjoyed Asian cuisine all of my life, this place is horrible. The broth lacks depth and at best is equal to canned chicken broth. The entrees are bland and are tailored more for the western palate. Definitely not an authentic place. I guess having some people think taco bell is good mexican food too. These would be the same people whom enjoy the noodle ranch for asian cuisine.

Every time I visit the Noodle Ranch, the staff is polite and welcoming, often times remembering my name. The food arrives in less than ten minutes and tastes like nothing I've ever had before- it is wonderful. I have spread the word about how great this place is to ALL of my co-workers, and they all frequent it now as well- and are OBSESSED. I do not understand how people could think poorly of this place. It is wonderful. It does get busy, though, because it IS so popular- but I have NEVER had a bad experience, and I've been there a milion times.

Keep it up, guys, because you ROCK!

I thought the place was quite tasty. The food was a little expensive when compared to the prices of some of the other oriental restaurants I've been too, but you aren't being ripped off by any means. As one reviewer put it "I hate going to places like this, where non-asians try to cook asian food and charge double the prices." I will concur that the price is a bit high, but come now, should I not expect to see a hamburger restaurant in China? I would recommend it if you're in the neighborhood.

I will admit upfront that I've never been a huge fan of the Noodle Ranch, as the service has always been slow and the food rather hit or miss. But it's conveniently located and my friends like it, so I've been often enough. After my last visit, I will never go there again. Our food took nearly 45 minutes to appear (we were told there was new kitchen staff) and arrived lukewarm. The dishes we ordered were all bland and tasted "off". None of us were inspired to do much more than pick at what was brought out, it was so unappetizing. Ick. Go elsewhere.

I have dined here dozens of times, but never again after today! Today my co-worker and I were told (not politely asked) that a party of 2 could not sit at a 4-person table during the lunch hourbar seating only. There were 4 tables wide open and NO LINE! The employee was simply rude and unapologetic! Go elsewhere, since its hit or miss on the menu items anyway. Their peanut sauce noodle dish is too oily to eat. The Phad Thai is so bland it's not worthy of being called Phad Thai. There are a few items Ill miss in my boycott; the Spring Rolls, Mekong Grill, and Coconut Hot and Sour Soup are all consistently delicious.

This place is way overrated. Stay away from the Singapore noodles. Tasted like Betty Crocker. Who else puts gravy cream sauce and mushrooms over noodles? Should of been called Ohio noodles. I had to drown out the blandness with plenty of Rooster sauce. This being said after having time to reflect on my lunch experience from last week so I'm not being rash here.

The one positive is that the portions were generous, so if you're in the mood for eating a lot of bland so-so American food impersonating the Orient for a relatively low price then this is your place.

Unimpressed. Food was bland and lacked any real value. Ate take out so service wasn't an issue. I make better dishes at home and only cook on occasion. I would expect more from a "What's Hot" restaurant on citysearch.

and try new things on the menu! The food is delicious and filling. Enjoyed the SPICY (read, REALLY HOT!) coconut soup with fresh tofu & basil. It tasted about a 4-star heat rating. Don't plan on exhaling anytime soon. Wicked heat! The eggplant dish with chicken is consistently outstanding, though too many grilled onions were seen in the last ordering. The yam curry dish is also a favorite. Rich in Asian flavors. Yum! Great food for the $$. My friends and I always appreciate the great service, and the nice guys running the ranch! Keep on herding us in!

I stopped in being pretty hungry. I wanted to order noodles instead of rice with a curry dish, but was told that they would not allow that. So that was kind of irritating, but I went with my hankering for noodles and ordered prawn pad thai, figuring I couldn't go wrong with a standard. But I was disappointed - flavor was lacking in this dish. I wound up asking for extra limes so I could at least add that level of interest to the food. The noodles were just this side of being overcooked, and were not the typical small rice noodles I've come to expect for pad thai. Service other than substitution refusal was ok.

What's not to love? The best asian food in town (at any price), friendly service and cheap prices. I've been going to the Noodle Ranch for years and it just keeps getting better. I would stick to China Town the next time I'm hankering for noodles. While the atmosphere is certainly hip, the food is pretty disappointing. We started with the gyoza, which we were surprised to find were deep fried in oil, as opposed to pan-fried or steamed lika a traditional asian gyoza. They ended up being still frozen in the middle--yuck!! I had the ramen with tofu: the tofu tasted sour and the broth was tasteless. The noodles, however, we perfectly cooked. My wife had the green curry chicken which as spicy, but not very complext at all. I'll try the Mexican place next door next time instead--it looks better.

As a frequent visitor to Seattle, I always make it a point to have at least one meal at The Noodle Ranch. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten there - but to my taste the Hot and Sour Coconut Soup is exquisite. Spicy, yet not overpowering, with the exotic flavor of lemon grass and creamy coconut... Mmmm! I even carried an order on the plane and enjoyed it the next evening back at home - 2000 miles away!

I wouldn't exactly rave about this place, but I will say that my Mekong bowl with marinated, grilled beef on rice noodles with cilantro was good. The meat reminded me of steak in a Chilean restaurant... pounded thin and heavily spiced and all in one huge piece instead of chopped into bite sized pieces. :) The service was good when we went for lunch at 12:40 p.m. (I think we just missed the big rush... this was a good time to go there for better service). The appetizers we had were overpriced and not memorable, but the chef's specialty that we had was good. One strange note... we were greeted by a really-bad-food-smell that permeated the restaurant when we walked in. THank goodness we got used to the bad smell by the time our lunch was served!

Growing up in an Italian household I was exposed to just about every style of noodle under the sun, but nothing prepared me for the tantalizing tastests that awated me in this hip yet sublte noodle bar. The fish is fresh, the beef is flavored to perfection and as always you'll find the atomosphere as fun as the dishes. While your taste buds are being suprised by the combinations of sweet and sour your eyes will be entertained by the artistic decor from the chairs to the restroom wall art.

Friends of mine have raved about this place, I was truly disappointed. Their version of Phad Thai, while tasty, was nothing remotely related to Phad Thai. They used thick soup noodles, peanut sauce, broccoli, carrots and zucchini. When I went there for lunch, we waited nearly 40 minutes for our food, after being told orders were NOT prepared on a first in, first out basis. And our waiter consistently neglected us. People at other tables had to run behind the seating counter to grab utensils, sauces, napkins, etc because the waiters weren't providing them. And someone at the table next to mine had a special request for the dish completely ignored. The person I was with ordered beef, but received chicken. While my friend's meal was very good, I do not plan on returning. I'd rather go to Shorty's and have a hot dog.

Overpriced, overrated, bland, unoriginal food.
Service ranges from surly to being ignored and blamed for the kitchen's mistakes (being given the wrong dish and then receiving it after everyone else has eaten their entrees). Why does everyone go here? Because it's trendy, Asian (trendy) and in a hip neighborhood. Cute waiters, though.
Want good Asian food? Go to the I. district for some authentic, tasty and appropriately-priced food.

The Noodle Ranch has never disappointed me. Everything I've had there is fresh and very flavorful without making me drink a gallon of water after I leave. I could eat 10 orders of the spring rolls and call it a meal. The phad thai is different but yummy.
My experience with the service is that it's not fancy but it's very quick and the servers are nice. I've never had slow service or a crabby server.

The noodle ranch has been a crowd pleaser for a long time now--and the price is right too!

Noodle Ranch is one of our favorite places to go. Sure the service can be a bit spotty, but the food is always good, and the prices right. Try the spring rolls, green papaya salad, Mekong Grill, curry etc...
It's all yummy.

Having a lot of experience with real Asian food, I would have to say the Noodle Ranch's eclectic approach to Pan Asian is a real treat! The spicey spring rolls are awesome and the vietnamese cold rice noodles are very authentic and remind me of my Mom's home cooking. The place is very clean and has a hip, butnot too hip atmosphere, perfect for lunch or dinner.

I just can't get enough of the red curry with chicken! Although I boycotted the place for some time for their terrible service, it has improved slighty over the years.
