I think that the owner of Sachi Jewelers is in jail. I would not recommend that anyone shop there. S1

Many, many, many thanks go out to Keenan at Sachi Fine Jewelry and Design in Snohomish, WA. About 2 months ago, the center diamond to my wedding set fell out. I have no idea where, I just looked down at my hand and noticed the empty prongs. I was devastated, but take some of the blame since I never had my prongs checked; the ring is 9 years old.

Since I was able to acquire a ring from my mom with a marquee center stone similar in size, I needed to find a jeweler to do the job. I had been to the common stores in the mall and wasn't impressed with the people behind the counter and just didn't feel good about giving them my business. Besides, I really like supporting my communities by doing business with local owners whenever possible.

I spend a fair amount of time in Snohomish and frequently drive or walk past Sachi, but had never been in. One afternoon, after having lunch at the Snohomish Bakery and Cafe, I asked the gal behind the counter what she knew about Sachi's. She said they've been making a really good name for themselves since moving in to that location. A customer in line behind me immediately spoke up and proudly showed me a ring that had been made by Sachi's. I felt confident this was going to be just the place I was looking for.

It's a typical jewelry store with cases full of beautiful pieces... but on closer inspection, there were some really cool items I didn't think I'd find anywhere else. After talking with the folks behind the counter I knew I'd bring my ring back to them. The very next day I met Keenan. He was SO helpful, really knew his stuff and took as much time as I needed to answer questions. He put my newly acquired diamond under the scope to show me all the details. His comment (was something like) 'It's important to know everything about your diamond' sealed the deal.

The ring my mom gave me also had two little diamonds on either side of the center stone. We started talking about what to do with those and he suggested adding them to my existing wedding set. My set already has a particular design with some smaller channel set stones, so I wasn't sure how it would look, but trusted his vision. Boy am I glad I did. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I couldn't stop looking at it... He did a PHENOMENAL job. I give my highest recommendation to Keenan at Sachi's. I'm so excited... and when it comes time to get a different wedding set, it will most certainly be purchased at Sachi's. I just wish I could get a good photo of the finished product to show here... but none of them have turned out yet.

For great home town, personal service visit Sachi's and check out their traditional and unique designs; I promise you won't be disappointed.

We are writing this to first and foremost apologize for Mike A??s misunderstanding regarding the replacement and pricing of a new stone for his father??s ring. We would also like to take this time to explain to other readers of his review the circumstances regarding his experience.

First visit to Sachi:

No charge for the 8x6 amethyst.

The quote for the new head and setting of the amethyst was 240$.

No charge for the removal of the old stone.

The 240$ quote was 8$ below the Geller??s blue book price for the setting of 8x6 stone.

Second visit to Sachi:
On his previous visit he requested a bluer stone.

Several other stones within his price range were
ordered and shown.

He passed on these stones as well, and the stones were returned at no expense to him.

Third visit to Sachi:

The 10x8 sapphire brought in was bought from another jeweler.

The quote for the new head and setting of the sapphire was 251$.

The 251$ quote was 21$ below the Geller??s blue book price for the setting of a 10x8 stone.

The difference in the price quote for the two differing heads and settings was eleven dollars. It is unfortunate that the customer did not understand the difference in price for the two different heads and settings and assumed that he was being taken advantage of.

Also, take note that cutting down a 10x8 stone to fit an 8x6 head that was going to be replaced regardless would cause an additional charge and would have exceeded his budget.

Thank you very much for reading,

My fiance and I went to all the chain retail jewelery stores looking for an engagement ring. A friend recommended that we take the hike up to Snohomish to go to Sachi Fine Jewelery - we did and found the perfect ring immediately!

Upon entering the store, the lady behind the counter was sifting through literally hundreds of diamonds and started showing us the difference between color, cut, clarity of diamonds and comparing them to each other. When we found several diamonds that we liked, we walked outside with the diamonds and were shown how the diamonds/rings look in natural light.

I tried on nearly every ring/band in the store and they were helpful the entire time. They even have an in-store designer who can custom-make a ring for you at relatively the same price a non-custom made band would cost.

All in all, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend going to this jeweler. Contrary to the prior review, parking is not a problem - it's Snohomish! - and they are actually less expensive than many Seattle-area jewelers.

Besides selling gorgeous jewelry, these people repair items too. That is how I first visited their lovely store in Snohomish. Reasonable prices for their repair work, but on the high side for retail.

Parking is an issue, as there is only on street available, and that is at a premium during business hours.
