The Harrell brothers have been doing this for over 20 years and are very good at it. I have tried everything on the menu and it's all yummy, but my favorite is beef ribs which most bbq joints don't offer. If you haven't been here, try it and decide for yourself. You most likely will soon be looking foreward to your return trip. Whatever you do, do NOT pay any attention to the one star reviews. They have either never actually been here or just plain don't have a clue..

Pulled pork sandwich deserves 5 stars. I enjoyed every bite. The hamburger bun was nothing special - but I really enjoyed my pulled pork.

I stopped in here a few months ago after hearing about how great it was. I was not impressed. I had a pulled port sandwich and it really had no flavor. I also had a side of coleslaw & again, no flavor. Not sure what all the hype is about.

I first learned about 3 Pigs from a newspaper review right after it opened over a decade ago (that review is even posted on their wall) and my wife and I have been regular customers ever since. They specialize in Texas style BBQ, and everyone I've brought there or told about it has agreed their BBQ is excellent--including an actual Texan who verified that 3 Pigs does it right. The Farrell Bros have run the place from the beginning (they didn't change hands as another reviewer had surmised), and the sauce is perfect--just the right amount of spiciness and not too sweet. (Note that they also sell sauce commercially, but for some reason that sauce, as good as it is, isn't the same or AS good as what they give you at their establishment.) Their shining achievement is their fall off the bone tender beef ribs. If you're a big eater you might go for the Wednesday night all you can eat beef ribs (and sides) though it's a bit pricey; their 4-beef rib dinner costs less and works for me. My only criticism is that on the rare occasion the brisket can be a little tough, but when I brought that to Todd or John's attention they've gone out of their way to rectify it. So if you like gimmicks then go "meet the man" and sit on park benches, but you won't get beef ribs there, period, and the Farrell Bros have got the best in the city (and the baby backs, available only towards the end of the week, are also excellent).

This place is no where near our home, but whenever I am in Bellevue I stop to pick up some bbq'ed pulled pork and a few bottles of their special BBQ sauce. The owners are friendly and are usually hands on and behind the cash register! Check them out and you won't be sorry!

Has to be one of the best BBQ places around. I have been to at least 15 BBQ restaurants around the area and I have to say this one's the BEST! The pulled pork is one of my favorites there. But if you are looking for ribs and brisket this is the place to go. Most of the other places claim to be champion BBQ places but I don't know where the competed. Must of been in a remote place. This place has true southern style. The right amount of sauce not to smother the great smoke flavor really helps. I don't like my BBQ smothered in it. The spicy sauce is my favorite. I highly recomend this place. And if your looking for a great stew, go here!!

I'm shocked that this place can even exist in Bellevue, there cant be any way people frequent this joint. The name of the place must be in reference to the rude broads that work behind the counter- and the kitchen & people working in it look filthy. As far as the food- we spent almost $20 to split a meal and threw it all in the trash. The whole experience was beyond dissapointing.

The Food was great overall especially the ribs. But somehow the bill everytime I go there ends up being a little too expensive for a fastfood style restaurant. I always end up spending $15 per person.

My wife and I have been enjoying this wonderful barbeque for the last two years. The succulent baby back ribs nearly melt in the mouth. The sauce is tangy and delicious. I have eaten excellent barbeque throughout the east coast. My wife is a Kansas City native having cut her teeth on Arthur Bryant's wonderful barbeque. We both feel Three Pigs has meat, sauce and baked bean sides that not only compete with the best of Kansas City, Memphis and Carolina, but exceed in both flavor and quanlity. We liked the sauce so much we bought a jar to take home and use on baked beans and to have in an emergency in case we have a craving on Sunday when Three Pigs isn't open.

Must have changed hands. Been going there for years on weekends because nowhere else to go at that time in whitebread suburb.

Used to be OK barbecue. Now, it's oven-baked pork with grocery store BBQ sauce, cold corn on the cob, stale corn bread and nasty, real nasty, cashiers.

Suggest you wait until weekdays and drive about three blocks north. You will find real barbecue behind the roofing store. Honest people, smoked product and food to die for.

I read some of the reviews and decided it was a safe bet. i Liked the intamate seating in the booths and the sports decorations on the walls. Thats where it stopped.. The pork rib dinner that I ordered came with 2 side orders. the beans were decent. could have been out of a can easily. the cupcake cornbread was the best part. The ribs came out and looked very dry. but smothered with sauce. Not cooked in but just dumped over the top. the pork was hard to chew though and really gristly and fatty.. basically it looked like boiled ribs with your choice of hot,med or mild sause. I was not impressed in the least and do not recommend eating there.

Finally got to eat here after being foiled twice on separate Sundays because we forgot that's when they're closed. The pulled pork sandwiches were great. My wife wanted more of the excellent sauce, but I thought the meat could stand on it's own - smoky, moist and tender. The cole slaw was creamy - but bland. The potato salad was tasty. We'll be back to try the ribs and other offerings.

3 Pigs gets it. They know the key to good BBQ is not to slather the meat with the sauce, but to balance the 2. The sauce is great and the meat is usually quite good.

I highly recommend the pork over the other meats though.

I've had the best BBQ in the country from Memphis to North Carolina to Kansas City. This is not even close to what real BBQ should taste like. The meat was tough, not flavorful and the side items were not even edible. Add in the complete uniterested staff and a depressing atmosphere and you will leave wondering how this dump stays in business. Do yourself a favor and stay home and eat a frozen pizza!

Since I'm originally from Texas, I come in with pretty high standards, and 3 Pigs really holds its own. The barbecue beef sandwiches are excellent, with just the right amount of meat and (tasty) sauce and a price just modestly above fast food sandwiches. Potato salad is also excellent. I've also tried the beef ribs twice, once they were perfect, another time, a bit well done. Overall, a great casual dining experience!

For the Eastside, this is fairly average BBQ. The meat isn't especially good, but it's not bad. The sauce isn't especially good, but it's not bad. The inside of the store is small, and seating is limited.

If I were with a group of people who wanted to go to this place, sure, I'd go. The food is okay, the sauce is okay. Just not something that I crave. So, I wouldn't go on my own.

Dixie's is "in" because of its proximity to Microsoft, but if you want really good BBQ, by all means go to 3 Pigs. The Harrell Brothers have the most flavorful BBQ in the state. Their chicken, ribs, shreded pork and beef, and hot links are beyond comparison. And the great thing is you can buy their sauce in your local supermarket. Of course, what you prepare at home won't be as good as what you get at their restaurant, it will bring back a flood of memories about how good BBQ can be.

Don't settle for anything less than the absolute best. If you want good BBQ, drive right on by Dixie's and head into Bellevue right across from Overlake Hospital.

Being from Texas, it's hard to find a good BBQ restaurant in the northwest. We recently tried 3 Pigs BBQ after it was recommended to us by some friends. The food was great! It's the best southern style BBQ around. We've tried others, like Dixie's, but enjoyed 3 Pigs the most. A lot of the other BBQ restaurants around smoke their meat in the sauce, and that's not the way to do BBQ! 3 Pigs knows how to do BBQ right.

I love the BBQ sandwiches here; they are piled with a good amount of meat and their sauces are great. I love a hot link with hot BBQ sauce on it! I agree the sides are skimpy they can certainly up the sides a little without raising the price even; or raise the price a little bit and make the sides EVEN bigger. Like the baked beans a lot, potato salad is good too. The ambience leaves A LOT to be desired; I know it's a BBQ place but the walls are kind of spotty and messy. Need a better beer selection.

Dixies is fun once but the aura wears off quickly when you skip 'the man' and actually have to taste the food. 3 Pigs is incredibly good, really tatsy food. There is some heat - as good BBQ should have - but the flavor is incredible. If you like BBQ - real BBQ - you owe it to yourself to 'meet the Pig'. Ambience?? Who cares - its a BBQ joint!

Best BBQ in Seattle by far! Blows overrated Dixie's out of the water by having some actual flavor. A little sweeter than some others, but still has spice to it. Meat is always cooked to perfection, whether chiken, beef, or turkey. I just went to Kansas City, and I would put it up with anything there, although Gates is the best.

The baby back's (Fridays and Saturdays) are among the best anywhere, and the sauce is so good it's sold in many local markets. I don't think there's a better barbeque meal in Seattle than 3 Pigs back's, it's as good as it gets.

The other menu items? Well, I'm not a big fan of the brisket, say compared to R&L, and the pork ribs are not better than Dixies or that funky place on Greenwood, but they certainly hold their own, tender and sweet. The corn bread is not good, dry and crumbly. The wolf's breath chili is very rich, a sterling side. Nothing special about the beans.

Quick service, plain strip mall interior. Who cares. Every bbq place has pluses and minuses and a lot of it comes down to style, but the best places have a signature item and at 3 Pigs that's the baby backs and the sauce, which is the best in Seattle since the long-departed Ribbin's vanished. No one should rate 3 Pigs until they've eaten the baby backs, and how anyone could complain thereafter I can't imagine for the life of me.

Pros: ribs, sauce, chili

Cons: corn bread
