These guys were awful! My car broke down on the top of the pass on my way back to school. So I called AAA and was towed to this shop because they are a AAA approved shop. I didn't here from these guys for 3 days and finally had to call and find out if they had even looked at. They said there was nothing wrong with my car and that I could come and pick it up. After still smelling something burning and just knowing that something wasn't right I got a recommendation from a local and took my car to Eastside Automotive. They found the problem right away with my spark plugs but also mentioned that they guys at C V Autoworks had erased all of my memory so he was unable to find out which spark plugs he was supposed to use. Thankfully he has a lot of knowledge and experience with cars and knew which kind to use! I would not recommend C V Autoworks to anyone!!!

The guys at CV Autoworks are awesome! A couple of days ago, my daughter's car had to be towed from Yakima to Ellensburg--we figured it was the starter. AAA recommended CV for the repair. Not living in Ellensburg myself, I relied on their suggestion. Bottom line was that the car was towed late Sunday night, they ordered the part on Monday morning, had the part installed Tuesday morning, and she has her car back! They were very friendly, helpful, efficient and reasonable. No complaints here!

I've gone to CV several times over the last few years and loved them. They work fast and have reasonable rates. However, I needed a tow for my motorcycle today, called Jason, and asked him to said a truck out. Everything good so far. Called back an hour and a half later to get a time frame on the truck (I was scheduling around work to do this) and he yelled at me about how the truck will get here when it gets here and to call someone else if I wanted to.

Not sure what the hell his problem was that morning (he's always been great before) but I wont give him anymore business.

I took my car here needing a new muffler, battery, and alternator. Shortly after I find out that my alternator was incorrectly put on, it started vibrating while on my drive back to college and it was coming off and damaged my belt. They also put the wrong size muffler on. They were rude and I am very unpleased with their service.

We have been in tight cercumstanses many times with our rigs.
Somtimes we had to depend on them for Hospital visits & long shots over the pass.
CV has allways done great work for us at a reasonable price.

The service is wonderful, the guys there are great! My battery and alternator went out right after I got my car's body fixed so it was stressful and they helped me out and towed my car and fixed it. The work was all done in one day. Then when my window went out they put in the part I bought at O'Reillys and had it done same day again. I had bought a bad part and so they had to install a new one and instead of charging me again they did it for free! This is great service!

Best. Service. Ever.
Needed a tow 'round 8p on a weeknight. Was informed next available truck would be two hours... C V arrived (with a prior-to-arrival phone call to let me know) in 45 mins! My rig was quoted early the next morning and totally done later that same afternoon. A new compressor and full flush later and I am immediately back on the road.
Incredibly friendly, informative, and helpful staff with a quick turn-around and a location close enough to campus to make walking (though only for a day) easy to manage.
I only trust the work under my hood to a team I can trust.
Here's hoping my car troubles occur within a reasonable distance of all of two such locations!

Exactly. To the poster who is bitching that his car is still locked up on the lot and yet hasn't bothered to pay or revisit Jason at CV Auto, TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY. Go air your grievance to his face as he recommended. A sucker in this life is someone who doesn't come prepared with the right questions, instructions, or attitude. Jason rescued me and my buddy on our Loooong way home and did it in a timely and professional manner. I told him what I needed, what my hopes and expectations were and he was professional, friendly and very reasonable.
You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar kids. Try it.

Over 6 months ago I noticed that my vehicle had began overheating and was leaking antifreeze from what appeared to be the waterpump. Concerned I returned home and began to do research for the nearest mechanic within Ellensburg. I discovered that CV Autoworks was the closest shop from my house and contacted their shop to inform them that I would be taking my vehicle in. I arrived at CV Autoworks and dropped my truck of with a gentlemen named Jason who said he agreed with me that, that was most likely the problem and told me he would call me in the morning. He did not contact me until I finally contacted him some four days later to inquire about the progress of my vehicle. He stated that contrary to what I had believed that it was the intake manifold that was causing the problem. He gave me a quote and I approved. I waited a week for him to contact me to tell me that my vehicle was finished until I finally contacted him and he told me that it was finished. I went to pick up my vehicle and entered the shop and began discussing with the gentlemen, Jason, about the condition of my vehicle. I asked him if there was anything at all that I should be aware of that he noticed and he stated, that there was not. I informed him that I was leaving the next mourning to return home to Pierce County, a trip that is approximately 120 miles, and asked him if he thought that I would be alright, and he stated, that I would be fine. As I drove home to my apartment no more then a half mile my engine light came on. This was unusual because that had never happened since I have owned the vehicle. I immediately contacted the shop to inform them of the condition of my vehicle and he said not to worry about it, that the light was misleading regarding the condition of my vehicle. On his referral I attempted to drive the vehicle home to Pierce County and once I got off the I-90 highway 18 interchange the vehicle rolled to a stop and would not start. I had to have the vehicle towed to Auburn at my expense. I contacted Jason who was very defensive, stating that it was my fault, that I had driven the vehicle hot. This was ridiculous to me because, prior to my attendance at CWU it sat in my driveway for almost a year. Finally Jason stated that he was willing to tow it at his expense to repair what he and I agreed was most likely a blown head gasket. He did not contact me for almost a month later when he sent out to tow my vehicle to his shop. He held it there for about another additional month without contacting me about the progress. Finally, he contacted my father who at this point begun speaking on my behalf to tell me that it was ready. I arrived at his shop to pick up my vehicle. Jason stated that it was running "like new" and that he personally had been driving it for over two weeks to ensure that nothing was wrong with it. I payed him and left the shop. I drove around town for about twenty minutes and the vehicle died as I pulled out of a parking space. It started back up and the oil pressure gauge was fluctuating wildly. A problem that I also never had before. I returned to his shop and told him of the issue. He told me not to worry about it that it was a simple and cheap repair. He did not contact me for over two weeks until I finally contacted him. He told me that he did not know what to do because it was going to cost me more. At this point I had spent over $1200 for $415 each time I left his shop and the $226 towing fee and was not willing to spend much more for problems I truly believe arose out of his negligence. The conversation ended very inconclusively with me telling him to figure out a price that would work for both of us. Nearly a month passed and he never contacted me. I finally called him and he was irate towards me, telling me that he was tired of doing business with me and if I had a problem with him to come "Say it to his face." Nearly a month has passed since then and I have heard nothing from him and he still has my vehicle.

We had a car break down in Ellensburg while traveling. It took two days for C V to diagnose the problem. We had to call them to find out what was happening. When the explanation did not add up with the problem, we consulted the shop that usually worked on the vehicle. They expressed concern about the diagnosis, We questioned C V further about the problem. The mechanic became extremely defensive. He repeatedly suggested we come to look at his work (as though we could tell what he was doing) and did a poor job explaining what was actually wrong.

This shop is not recommended for anyone who is not savvy about automotive mechanics or has the time to actually stand by and observe the work being done. Definitively NOT for travelers.

I had two major repairs done at Autoworks - a new transmission on a minivan and a new transfer case on an SUV. Both repairs were done in a timely fashion, at a competitive price. Jason, who I believe is the owner, was professional, friendly, and accomodating. He took time to explain various repair options and was straightforward in describing pros and cons. In both instances the repairs were successful with no lingering or new problems.
