The service here is known as "frat-like", they have certain people that they know and like and everyone else they give horrible service to. We went there for almost 6 months and everytime we went, they acted as if we were from somewhere else. It has so much potential as a nice friendly neighborhood spot but they ruin it. The coffee also takes a very long time and at times they forget to make it. My family and I prefer going to the shack at the Chevron station where the service is much better.

What a little gem this place is! The staff was very friendly and gave prompt service. Ryan whipped up a delicious savory crepe for me in minutes. I also tried their signature drink "Big train" which they said was their version of a frappachino. After tasting it, I think a frappachino is a sad little watered down imitation of the fabulous "Big train"! Good seats by the window for people watching, and parade of happy dogs coming out of the grooming shop next door, low lighting and ambient music. Check them out next time you're in Mapleleaf!

I love coffe, especially lattes, but I am really picky about it. Two of my friends, one is latte lover and the other one is cappuccino lover, recommended this place. Warm greeting, and staffs remember you and what you drink. I go there every Saturday morning and have latte with either scone or muffin. Just baked ones, not too sweet, very soft. My freind usually orders cappuccino and banana nut crepe. They are delicious.. On my way work during weekdays, if I have extra time, I drive there and grab a latte and a muffin. They offer Wi-fi.

Pros: excellent coffee and pastries

My husband and I have been regulars at Javasti for a couple of years now. We started going for the consistently excellent lattes, but then we tried the scones. In the yummy, flaky, buttery scone category, these can't be beat. They're just amazing!! The crepes, too, are always a nice treat, and add to that the friendly service and rotating art - and you'll soon see why we keep coming back here!

Pros: Great coffee, Unbelievable scones, Cooooofffeeeeee

Cons: none, none, none

I'm so glad we're in walking distance from this cute place with some of the best, the smoothest coffee I've had in Seattle and very good crepes. The concrete floor can get a little noisy but you can ignore that and look at the consigned art hanging on the deep red walls or people watch.

This is hands-down my favorite local cafe to go to. The baristas are always friendly and smiling (and in a sincere way, not a forced/routine way). They ask me how I'm doing (they even ask how my dog is doing) and pay attention to details--they memorized "my drink" only after about 3-4 times.

The atmosphere is so relaxing and I enjoy the music (very laid back and soothing).

The espresso beans they use are full of flavor. My order has never been made incorrectly and usually comes out in less than 5 minutes. They have a local pastry chef to make all their yummy baked goods (my personal favorite: their poppy-seed pound cake). The crepes are heavenly, fluffy treats and come in different flavors from strawberries and cream to apple/cinnamon with powdered sugar.

The prices are very reasonable, especially for the generous amount of espresso you receive. Their "grandes" are truly grande-sized unlike some chain cafes.

Although the seating area is smaller than some other cafes, I like it because it's warm and cozy. They also have an outside seating area for sunnier days.

PROS: Super-friendly staff, great coffee, delicious pastries/crepes
CONS: Hard to find parking (but worth the effort).

Pros: Coffee, Service, Attitude

I've lived here my whole life and in most of Seattle's neighborhoods and this is my favorite place for coffee. The staff is always friendly and efficient but with no attitude. The quality bar is high and the food items are great. I recently moved from Maple Leaf to Wallingford \ Greenlake and just can't stand a certain place that starts with a Z. Maybe now I need to drive 3 miles North every morning for a decent cafe experience but it's worth it, I hope they stay around for long time!!

a really great combo of above-average coffee and a terrific crepe menu. the location is a big plus, too, for those times when Maple Leaf folks don't feel like running to Capitol Hill or Greenlake for a brunch-time fix.

This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or just coffee!!! Cafe Javasti has the best coffee in town. They make awesome lattes and you should see the size of their crepes!!! And OH MY GOD-the SCONES!!! Marionberry Scones, freshly made. Awesome sandwiches too. The staff is super and always remembers you when you come in...or at least they try. It can be packed on the weekends so give yourself time.

As a native Seattle-ite I've been to many, many coffee houses and Cafe Javasti is by far my favorite. The scones are fantastic, although I have to say it's a tie between the lemon poppyseed muffins and the crepes for my favorite dish. Too many delicious choices! Definitely a must try for any coffee fan.

Uncompromising service, drinks, and food. Everything here is all one can wish for in a coffeeshop; friendly and efficient staff, well-brewed coffee and espresso drinks, delicious meals and snacks. An enthusiastically recommended spot for friends to get together at, or to drop by on your own with a book.

Great Coffee, great food, great service and wonderful people who always greet with a smile! Who could ask for anything more! This is a great cafe in a great neighborhood - so good it's probably raised my property value! I recommend a visit.

Javasti is one of the best cafe's in Seattle. The coffee is perfect, the baristas are friendly, the pastries are fresh and always available. Javasti also features special crepes which are absolutely wonderful. The cafe is often very busy and parking is tight in this little residential neighborhood. Kids are welcome and there is usually ample seating. Prices are also good.

Finally, a quality coffee shop in North Seattle. Cafe Javasti has downtown quality coffee, servers, and ambience in a friendly, neighborhood location. This is a don't miss place to share a great latte or snack with friends. All the amazing pastries, soups, sandwiches, treats, and gourmet crepes are made right here. The owners are really experienced, and all the lovely women behind the counter make sure that your visit is great. Yes, parking can be a pain, but turn the corner and park on the residential streets its well worth it for a top quality latte with perfect crema and creamy foam!
