I always see them loading up their delivery van with big balloon bouquets. They must be very popular! I went into the store to look for crepe paper to decorate my son's bike. They didn't have a big selection but they had the perfect colors to match the paint scheme. Precisely the tone of green that I needed. It was almost eerie. I have never had a problem with the staff being surly - just busy.

I used The Red Balloon Company to deliver a birthday balloon + gift basket to my friend. The balloon design is good (the whole thing is basically a replica of a hot-air balloon) and the gift tasteful. Delivery was punctual too. I ordered over the phone and the staff who took my order was nice. Haven't visited their B&M store so I am not sure about the rude attitudes other reviewers talked about.

I must admit I shop here fairly regularly (every few months when a birthday or other occasion comes up), and this place has a good selection of cute cards, stuffed animals, funny small presents, balloons, and just silly things in general. It's not a huge store, and the selction isn't huge, just good, and well considered! However, I have had a few interesting experiences with the staff; they are either super nice or very rude. Sometimes, not a even hello when I enter, just a glare, other times, big smiles . I also returned something once, and I got a big attitude from the manager.

Otherwise, definatley worth the "tude" to find some really cool things! And downtown location is convenient.

Red Balloon has a huge selection of cards and kitschy gifts, the prices are downtown reasonable, and it's a great place to pick up the much needed gag gift or adult humor card.

PROS: wide selection, lots of funny stuff
CONS: attitude of sales staff is not so great, they all seem to hate their jobs
