This is supposed to be a family type restaurant.
The bar crowd is so loud, and crude, we had to leave.
The manager does nothing to quiet them down.

I ordered a hot sub sandwich for my husband. I was handed a little bag and the sub was two small dinner rolls with with a sausage spread. Unbelievable. And this cost $8???

We arrived very hungry. The streets pretty much roll up after 5 pm. We drove around and finally settled on this place thinking Italian food and pizza are no brainers. Boy were we wrong! I ordered fettuccini with a pesto artichoke sauce that was dry and flavorless, yet was so spicy hot from black pepper it was inedible! It came with soup or salad and I ordered the Creamy Chicken and Mushroom soup. It came in a small cup and was so peppery with white pepper I couldn't eat it! Even my dinner companions who enjoy spicy food said is was beyond hot. How on earth can you make a soup and a pesto sauce so peppery yet lack salt and flavor?

I then ordered a Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp (had to pay $2 extra for the shrimp) and out came a big bowl of pasta with canned shrimp and an alfredo sauce lacking so much flavor (I think it was just milk and flour) that I dumped half the container of Pizza Parmesan cheese on it to give it a little salt and cheesey flavor. I ended up only eating 2 or 3 bites of it.

Then we decided to try a dessert. We split a piece of "Moist Homemade Carrot Cake" that was anything but! It lacked flavor (again no salt!) and was dryer than the Gobi desert. The "Cream Cheese" frosting crunched when I bit into it and we never saw a shred of carrot in the thing. Best of all, it was topped with sliced almonds. Almonds? Carrot cake has walnuts *in* it for pete sake! Me thinks Grandma or whoever bakes and cooks at this place is drinking again. Because they sure forgot how to season food.

What a waste of $20. Never again.

Food is OK, Kids are RUDE who obviously run the joint, no-one responsible over the age 19...dont waste your time the Gig needs a half way decent Pizzaria to come in and then the BS historical site will be over the sooner the better

When I order To-Go, I expect my food ready for me when I get there. I was told my order of $11.87 w/ tax, would be ready for me within 15minutes. When I arrived my food was cold, my garlic bread was with out garlic and for that matter it was burnt. They had not bagged my order so as to prepare it for me, when a younger male was asked to retrieve my soup, he continued flirting with the server rather then doing as he was told. Meanwhile I waited? Finally I walked out the door and relived the employees of putting my order in a bag which seemed as if it was too much of a burden for them to do. My pasta was horrid. Alfrado is a cream sauce?. NOT a chunk sauce?however my noodles were covered in what seemed to be cream cheese floating in milk?Anyone who knows Italian food will be more then disappointed in the rude service, over priced meals, and HORRID cooking! YUCK!

If you are looking for a delicous pizza that is not greasy and nasty this is where you need to go. From traditional flavors to some specialty pizzas that are oh so good you are sure to find what you and your family will like. To finish if you still have room or take home is their Peanut Butter pie. Their salads are devine if you are looking for a lighter side and portions always too much to eat.

This is simply a great place to eat and bring the family! Located in downtown Gig Harbor, WA. The staff is friendly; the food is consistently great and the location very nice.

PROS: Clean, great food, friendly staff, prices are very reasonable
CONS: Parking can sometime be a challenge, but that's not Spiro's fault

My family and I ate at Spiro's last weekend and the service was amazing. When you first walk in the door you are immediately greeted by an eager and friendly host. As soon as you are seated a sweet wait person comes to get your order. The service continues to be amazing throughout the rest of the night. I would recommend the Hazelnut tortellin or their Greek pizza. I also noticed on the menu salads, subs and a great kids menu! The have a reputation for the BEST pizza in town!!!
