I will not stop writing about this company. I am 55 years old and i have never been ripped off so badly as this company has done to us. If you ever think of taking your car to aamco think again. If you want all your parts of your car broke on purpose so they can make more money off of you, and then quoted a price for a transmission and doubled it, then keep your car for two months, then give it back and suppose to be fixed and you almost wreck it because they broke so many part that you cant steer it and it rocks vilantly all over the road.be lied to and cheated and left you out in the cold just to start the story., then go ahead and have them keep your wallet empty and your shoes worn out from walking 8 weeks and your brain fried from the stress of this wonderful giving company then go get screwed! I could go on and on but my brain for today is full of aamco's crap!

Great Shoreline location just north of 145th St on Aurora ave, right next to JiffyLube.

Went there on an internet coupon for transmission service. Competitive price for that.

They pointed out that my brakes were worn so I got them done too.

Fair price, nice folks. Took a little longer than I had hoped but they gave me a ride so it was ok.

I had my car at the dealer for service and they told me I needed a new transmission. Not a cheap fix by any stretch. I called Aamco and they towed my car to the Shoreline store for free and did their free Transcan diagnosis and provided an estimate for the repair. Its a great location right on Aurora avenue in Shoreline. The staff was busy yet friendly. Anyhow they fixed what was going on with my transmission with a low price fix. What a relief. They did my brakes and a tuneup too which I was happy to have done after realizing how much money I saved without having to replace the transmission. Keep up the good work!

I don't know how these guys managed to diagnose and rebuild a Ford Explorer transmission in about 24 hours for under $2000, but they did. Maybee they got harry potter in the back room.

Well I brought my beloved BMW 330 ci into the shop because my friend told he that he saw an ad for a free check engine light service. So I called and the manager said no appointment was necessary. It was a little crowded in the waiting area so I walked to the starbucks at 155th and it was a great day to be outside. I dread taking my car into a shop because even when they are nice the news is never good. I got lucky today because they found out that I need a new gas cap. So Mr. New Owner, here you go with your nice review that you asked for;) RH

I recently had the unfortunate luck of having a transmission failure in my 99 Chevrolet Suburban. I took it to the dealer and they quoted me a price that almost made my heart stop. I then called the AAMCO in Shoreline and was told they could look at it for me. After having my vehicle taken to AAMCO, they verified it was a transmission failure. They offered to replace it for me at a price that was below the dealer price, and with the same warranty. I told them to go ahead, and after 3 days, (7 phone calls from the manager to keep me updated on the process), I picked up my car. Needless to say, everything was perfect. I would recommend them to all my friends and family for a company that is reputable and fair.

They will get you to come in with the promise of a free tow and free diagnostic and will even give you a reasonable initial estimate, but it's all downhill from there. If you give them the OK to take your transmission apart, be ready to write a blank check. Also, they are slow and their promised call backs are non-existent. It's quite telling that the only positive reviews here are written by their staff. Stay far, far away!

Cons: Slow, expensive, deceptive

Following a free diagnostic, I was told that My transmission could be fix (not even replaced) for $1695 plus tax. This seemed very expensive, so I asked for a guarantee that the transmission would be completely fixed for this price. There was no mention that there could be additional costs-they were clear that this was the final price. The day came when they said the car would be ready and I had heard nothing from them. When I called, I was told that my transmission was dismantled and that it would cost an additional $1100 to fix. This is a 1993 Subaru, and they want nearly $3000 to refurbish a transmission. The Senior Manager,Kurt, who gave me the quote and the guarantee, made no concession when I complained. By the way, as my transmission lay dismantled in their garage, my credit card had already been charged $1847.55.

CROOKED and EXPENSIVE!!!!
