This is a links style course. Very hilly golf course with no trees. It's an 18 hole course, and lots of fun to play. Get your tee times early though because it's a popular course. A good course for the average golfer. I would recommend.

For a novice this golf course is not for you. It gets very frustrating for such long pars of 4 and 5. Definitely need to rent a golf cart.
Sumner Meadows does have a nice driving range, price is reasonable and atmosphere is relaxed.
With more experience this could be a course for you.

Sumner Meadows can be very challenging, depending on what tee box you choose to play. They have 5 different sets of tee boxes the yardages range from 5269 to 6765 yards. At first glance it appears to be wide open, but there is water hazards or OB only every hole. Even though there are hazards and OB there are plenty of bail out areas. But my suggestion would to bring a few extra golf balls just in case.
The greens at Sumner Meadows are usually some of the best in the are and roll very true and fast.
So go out and give it a try I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.

A very fun course to play where you can bring anyone and have a great time even if you're a novice! The club house has a very personal feel, the staff is friendly and treat you like an old friend. The food is cheap and so are the drinks. The course is very open and has rolling contours and a good amount of water hazards. It's fun to play because of its openness and it's right next to the train tracks so you can have some target practice if you get worked-up about your bad game. (kidding...) Get here and have a blast.
PROS: Terrain, atmosphere.
