Staff are rude, especially the owners. Store is untidy and poorly organized. Books often in poor condition and overpriced. They offer an insulting pittance for your books. Patronize only if political correctness is paramount to you.

This book shop has been around for some time. It is a great place to browse the new and used books. They serve coffee and tea and have small tables to hang out and read or just play chess. They usually have a section set up that carries used selections of current books being used for Evergreen classes. Support this place.

Orca Books is a local bookstore. The selection is enormous. The prices on new and used books is very good. It doesn't stop at books. They also sell stationary (good selection), and they offer talks with local authors. Ask about book clubs, since they offer this, too. It's the perfect place to get in from the rain, sit down and have a cup of coffee, while browsing through books.

Orca books has an inviting, expansive space complete with gifts, self-serve coffee, and, of course, new and used books. Staff is helpful and friendly. Stacks are organized for easy browsing with staff recommendations and book awards marking each shelf. Used books (in fine condition) are stacked with the new, so go ahead and pull every book off the shelf, looking for the one with the clean cover AND the reduced price.

PROS: in-store reading encouraged
CONS:
