Trettin Drop In Preschool

I've been sending my 2yr old to Trettin since January and cannot praise the staff and their excellent program enough. This preschool is a pay as you use ($7/hr), come and go as you want (Mon-Fri/9am-4pm/max of 4hrs/day)arrangement which takes into account parents' fluctuating schedules, needs and budgets. Meanwhile the kids get an awesome opportunity to play and learn with kids their age. Most of value to me as a stay-at-home mum, my daughter learns social skills in a group setting, thoughtfully and lovingly taught by a great team. Staff have many years of experience, knowledge and dedication teaching kids. Open since 1968 as a non-profit, the team at Trettin know what they're doing and is providing this community an invaluable service parents and kids in other communities can only envy and wish they had.

PROS: Flexible, Budget-friendly, Experienced and the Kids Love It!
CONS: Wish they were open Saturdays and Sundays too!

This is an affordable and well-oiled maching operating in the University District. Maximum 4 hours stay for children per day. There is a daily schedule so be sure to check when large motor time and/or outdoor time is. Kids won't want to miss that. Bring a lunch or buy a lunch. Themed weeks and months that rotate through. Some older children may tire of the routine and younger children but perfect for 2-4 year olds needing a little time to socialize. Moms can meet a friend for lunch or get their hair cut! Whew! Get a punch card for small discount.
