Reviews for Golden Skate & Lazer Tag

Ratings_icons Great skating and service!

Laya A.

Golden Skate is a awesome place to go skating. Not only do they have skating they have lazer tag also. And lets not forget a snack bar for when your hungry. The wood floors are always polished and they have fun interactive activites like the chicken dance and others. The music is always modern and you can request a song also. Though the skating rink is a little small. If you are looking for a big open place to skate i would not recommend this, i would recommend Oaks Park Skating Rink. It is huge and in the back it has a place to learn how to skate (free). Both places are enjoyable.

I've been going to this skating rink for many years. It's the only one that is in Vancouver. The rink is wood and is really nice. They keep it clean and smooth. The snack bar is okay and comes in handy when you get hungry. The people who work here are all very nice and seem to be having a good time while they're working. The rental skates work well. The only thing they need to do is remodel it, it's very old looking inside.

Golden Skate has a pretty big skating rink fillled with a whole bunch of skaters from all levels of experience. My children had a lot of fun skating up and down the rink during our trip to Seattle. The service for renting the skates were pretty good.

Ratings_icons Good Clean Fun

Going to Golden Skate certainly brings back many memories. The decor both inside and out has not changed and could definately be updated but it is still a fun place to go for some good exercise. Even though the inside is outdated the skating rink itself is well maintained and is easy to skate on. The snack bar provides a nice variety of snacks and has a few arcade games for entertainment.

They have a large upstairs area for private parties for eating cake and opening presents. The price of admission is very good and the monthly school specials for local schools is a great way for kids to get together outside of school and socialize.

Ratings_icons Great fun, a little dated

Though the actual facililty is dated and needs a facelift to bring it into the 21st century, we love coming to skate.

The wood floor (my favorite kind to skate on) is well-maintained and the place is kept neat and tidy.

While we've had birthday parties there, I haven't seen the balcony room used in all the times we've been there (that's not to say it isn't, I just have seen it). Seems a waste.

Anyway, the music is current, the rink guards are courteous (which other places lack). The skates are usually in good working order and are easily exchanged if not.

We appreciate the special school nights (lower rate for kids from local schools once a month). This has become a monthly tradition for us.

They also offer laser tag, but we haven't done that yet.
