I work for a small business (15 employees) and they recommend Healthworks for on the job injuries because this is their specialty and Healthworks is easy and convenient for them. (If you want a warm, fuzzy experience, perhaps it's better to choose a family doctor rather than a place the specializes in workplace injuries.)
We are not required to fill out a lot of paperwork or to make copays; we all appreciate this convenience. I am also pleased with the weekend availability, the multitude of locations and especially that, if I suffer an injury, I can get treatment immediately, without an appointment. After 5 years or so, I've had only positive experiences and my coworkers all seem to agree...I haven't heard any complaints.
We also go to Healthcheck for drug testing, which I'm not so fond of, but it's done quickly and accurately-I can live with that.

Waited 45 mins, Doctor spent 15 seconds looking at my ear and then told me to go home and take Benedryl. And for that I was charged $233! Don't waste your time using this company.

I've taken several of my employees to US Healthworks for work-related injuries, as many of my employees do not have access to a car. Several other posters have commented that this clinic specializes in early-release-to-work. This is definitely true. While some clinics (particularly in immigrant communities in Seattle) will give employees 1-2 weeks off work without asking too many questions about the nature of the injury (if it's work-related or not, etc.), US Healthworks is generally good about minimizing the number of days off and working with employers to create modified duty tasks to accomodate the injury. I had no complaints with the US Healthworks clinic in Redmond, where I normally take employees for their checkups. Service was fine, wait times were normal, and the employees generally left satisfied.

HOWEVER, I was so appalled by the service my employee received yesterday at this Seattle location that I feel compelled to write this review. Despite my employees' excellent health insurance (they are union and all have Premera Blue Cross), my employee was treated like absolute garbage at this location.

My employee does not speak English, only Vietnamese, so we had to wait an extra 45 minutes for a translator to arrive from the Denny clinic. This is on top of the TWO HOUR wait we had to endure on a Tuesday afternoon when they were hardly even busy. There were maybe 3 or 4 other patients waiting, they were hardly slammed. So after waiting nearly 3 hours without seeing a doctor, our translator tells us that he must leave for another appointment he has in a few minutes. Go figure, we are not the only ones in Seattle who need a Vietnamese translator. I tell this to the medical assistant - and the woman next to him who ended up being our doctor - that we need to have the employee's checkup with a translator immediately. They do absolutely nothing about it and continue going about their business. 15 minutes later, our translator is gone and the doctor walks in, apologizing saying "my obligation is to my patients with appointments." This doctor then proceeded to patronize and show complete lack of empathy for my employee, who was suffering a severe shoulder/elbow sprain. She tried twisting her arm to the point where my employee was in tears and leaning as far as she could away from the doctor. It was absolutely humiliating to watch. The doctor could not communicate even the most basic medical information to her because of the language barrier, and our afternoon was pretty much wasted. US Healthworks should not issue work-release documents if the doctor can't even make a proper diagnosis. I have never experienced such a lack of empathy from a health clinic and such terrible customer service.

Stay away from this branch of US Healthworks and especially Dr. Jaami Rutledge!!!

would not recommend this place or company to anyone. HORRIBLE customer service and wait time. Do not waste your time or money here. Ridiculous. They don't care about people they care about the money. There are only a handful of nice people and they're usually in the back.

Unfriendly, uncaring, miscommunication between staff and different clinics. Would not take my beloved dog to this place. All they care about is money

My husband went there today to be treated for acute hip pain.
The dr hardly examined him and sent him out the door with any kind of treatment or medicaction, but charged $150.-
Thanks for nothing, motherf***ers.

I made the mistake of making this place my primary care physician.

Their service is bad. When I have asked them to fax referrals they forget or take forever. I asked to see a doctor and instead the physicians assistant saw me without informing me or asking me first if it would be OK.

Now I have a bladder infection and need the prescription called in and they won't do it for me over the phone even though I get them about twice a year and have been treated for it by them before. I have no time to go in and wait for an hour because I am performing in a concert and must work. SO instead i brave the infection and must get up to pee every 15 mins.

Avoid this place! A doctor should be understanding, compassionate, flexible and honesty. You won't find those things here. It is an emergency walk in clinic at best and treat their patients exactly that way.

Doctor was nice enough, sure. But wait was terrible even with an appointment. Doctor seemed rushed and didn't even do a breast exam during a female annual for crying out loud which seemed really bizarre to me. The initial prescription was set up fine, but when that prescription irritated me and had to be replaced with a different prescription it was called in all wrong and the pharmacy wouldn't refill it on time. I had to call two different Healthworks clinics to get a hold of the doctor to have it fixed. When my tests were submitted, the lab wasn't given the current insurance and it was sent to the wrong company and I had to sort that out too. I suppose these clinics are best used for one time sort of things - you twisted an ankle, your kid has strep throat - and not for regular use.

I do not recomend US Healthworks. The staff is not friendly or helpful at all. The wait time is outrageously long in the waiting room and back in the exam room as well. The DR's do not seem to want to really take the time to listen just to rush you out as fast as possible.

I selected this doctor's office at random because it was near me, but it turned out to specialize in work-related injuries. The doc I saw was very nice and helpful, but when it came to insurance and getting my prescription filled, they messed everything up and I had to call them about 5 times to get everything sorted out.
