Harbor Lights

Extraordinarily mediocre! 5 star service, 2 star food. Steak, oysters, yuk! My sister's open face seafood san seemed to please her but she likes lots of cheese and she got a lot of cheese. Harbor Lights is no longer Harbor Lights but a place where some really nice people serve really modest food. Won't be back. butch vashon

Harbor Lights is simply the best restaurant in Tacoma. It is our favorite haunt. The food is excellent, the service is exceptional, and the people are friendly and helpful.

i loved harbor lights, we got sat right away, and our server was great. We ordered our favorite, the captains plate. We were able to enjoy ourselves yet still be in and out in a reasonable time. It was a great dinner for me and my wife, and we definitely enjoyed our time being there. great service, great food, and a great time overall

I hadn't been to Harbor Lights for a year or so. I took my wife there last night for our anniversary. I have always loved their pan fried oysters. However, when I tried to order them, I was told that they have been "pulled". When I asked what that means, all I got was a shrug of the waitresses shoulders. No problem, my second favorite dish over the years at Harbor Lights has been their large breaded scallops. I had remembered too, that the portions were large. Well, wrong on both accounts. When the meal arrived, the portion was pathetically small, but not as pathetic as the size of the scallops themselves, which I would describe as marble sized (small marbles). I told the waitress that I ordered the meal, so I'll be more than happy to pay for it, but to take the plate away. She took the untouched dinner away and I watched my wife eat what she described as a pretty good salmon dinner. Thank God they still make a decent drink -- I needed it. This was the first time in my life that I had to send a dinner back.

This little eatery has quite a bit of charm. The clams and shellfish are amazing as well as any salmon dish. I've been here a few times and haven't been let down yet. Service is great and prices are great as well. An older restaurant, but that adds to its character.

If you are looking for great seafood on the Tacoma water front, look no more. Although the place is small, they serve up great food and do so with incredible service. You will definitely not leave the harbor lights hungry. You can also have a great drink in their small and vintage looking lounge. Bring a designated driver...they make some very strong drinks there :)

While it may be hard to get a reservation here sometimes, this is a gorgeous restaurant with an incredible atmosphere that is located right on the Tacoma waterfront. Guys, get a window seat here on the 4th of July and you can't ask for a more romantic setting! The food isn't always fabulous but the drinks and setting more than make up for it
