Ravishing Radish Catering

I was recently at a wedding catered by Ravishing Radish, and I could not get enough of the food! Big, gorgeous platters of simply roasted vegetables, including sweet pink beets that were so mild my beet-hating friends were all asking what those yummy vegetables were. Although they could have just consulted one of the menus that were posted, which clearly said what everything was -- another touch I really appreciated.

My absolute favorite treat were skewers of salmon on wooden sticks, covered with savory seeds like caraway. I could have eaten those like candy all evening long! The wedding cake was also quite good, and the people staffing the bars were friendly and did a good job contributing to the good cheer of the event.

We decided on Ravishing Radish for our wedding after tasting and meeting with several caterers in Seattle. The things that impressed us were their commitment to natural ingredients and organics. For example, the chef indicated that she would substitute, even at the last minute, if a locally grown organic ingredient was not available. This was very impressive and something we support.

The event itself went with very few problems. There were plenty of staff to support our event and everything was served warm and fresh. The linens, table settings, plates and so forth were all in great shape and accented our style.

As for the food itself, well, the appetizers were absolutely amazing and the entres were delicious. Everyone was left impressed. The only negative I would mention is that there were some gaps in service, for example, water was not served, but once we pointed it out they took care the problem. Finally, the event location was left clean and no extra amount was taken out of our deposit because of any problems.

PROS: Delicious; Excellent ingredients; Commitment to Organics
CONS: Slightly disorganized even with a medium sized event but quickly fixed.
