Wonderful

I wouldn't buy fish from anywhere else- the owners have both heart and really care about their fish. Very honest and will freely tell you if you are buying the wrong fish for your fish community.I think great prices, especially compared to The Fish Store on Roosevelt (was not too impressed by them). Visit this great store and feel good about supporting a true family owned business!

This place is very fishy. The store owner has an assortmentof chiclids. The store mosly consists of flowerhorns. The prices are very expensive because the owner doesn't know squat about their actual value. The fish are really big and the store is easy to find, it is on Jackson and has a bright sign.

The people here know their fish stuff. The tanks are decent, but absolutely great when compared to the other fish stores in the International District. When I go here, it is mainly to look or to get information, but if I wanted to buy something more common, I would probably check out PetCo or PetsMart first. It looks a bit shabby from the outside, but inside is a different story, so you should walk in and take a look. They are not pushy about sales either, so feel free to just gander at the fish.

Located in Chinatown as many other aquarium shops are, this place is one of my favorites. The owner of the store is always there to help you in selecting the best fish and I can definitely count on his honesty, as he will tell me from time to time that certain fish just don't look as healthy as others. This is rare as a lot of places try to sell you fish they are afraid they might not be able to get rid of. The prices here are a little steeper than other places, but I would rather pay more and get a healthier fish than pay less and end up with sick fish. In terms of cleanliness, I was rather impressed. All the tanks look like they are well-kept and the fish look vibrant and happy. Another plus: the owner keeps his own display-type planted aquariums so you can stop by just to look at them, sometimes he is willing to sell me his plants if they are overgrown. He also has a display tank with an amazing flower horn (the largest I've ever seen, really). And he never tires of your questions. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to any fish enthusiast.
PROS: Healthy fish, clean, and very friendly and knowledgeable service.
CONS: Prices are bit steeper, but only slightly
