About 2yrs ago when i lived in vancouver i would frequent this place because it had great food. I have moved back now and was excited to eat at my fav rest.. HOLY COW, what has happened to the food, it is digusting now. the rice and beans are horible and the fish in the tacos are flavorless. maybe it changed hands or something, however, i will not go back or recommend this place any more. I am VERY disappointed!!!!!!!

I was skeptical of any Mexican food in the Pacific Northwest, but my wife's friends seemed to be big on it so I tagged along with them to Peppers. First of all, the restroom in this place is the only thing that is authentic--it looks and smells exactly like what you might expect to see in a back alley bar in old TJ. I had the steak tacos--not asada tacos, mind you. The meat was like dog food but more bland, the large beans in the taco were mealy and tasteless. The pico de gillo had no chiles and no heat. Somehow they managed to do something with their guacamole to make avocado repulsive to me for, I'm sure, weeks. If you've ever had real baja cuisine, you'll want to avoid this place because you'll surely be disappointed.

There's nothing too fancy about it. The staff is very friendly, the food is always tasty and fresh, the price is reasonable. I highly recommend it, and if you're having a party, there 5 foot burrito will feed a lot of people.

Enjoy!

My friends and I like to try new restaurants for lunch, so we stopped in Peppper's one day because someone said we should try it. We weren't to sure about it when we pulled up, but once we got our order we were sold on it. We split nachos and tacos, and burritos so we all could try the selection. It is a must try.

This is a great little Mexican restaurant. It's a wonderful place to get a quick lunch, or take your burrito to eat in the park. At first, I thought it looked a little sketchy from the outside, but the food was some of the best I'd had in Vancouver. Definitely recommended!

Peppers is a great place to hang out after work. Happy hour lasts until 7PM and the menu is pretty solid+good beer. If you don;t want to hang out in the bar the other section of peppers is also pretty cool, with a nice authentic feel. If you like your food with a little more flavor I would suggest hitting the homemade salsa bar to spicen up your meal. The staff is also friendly

Hands down best mexican joint in the 'couve

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Kinda dive-ish looking inside, but great food! Their burrito's are HUGE, and packed full of grilled meat, homemade rice & beans, and fresh veggies. Hit the salsa bar for some fab-o pico to top it off! We cut ours like baked potatos and eat with a fork - because they're so huge! Tortiallas to die for.

They also recently opened a little bar up next door (they're connected from the inside) - great ambiance! We love the space!

Peppers is one little hotsy-totsy mexican restaurant. Fast , friendly with a varied menu and a self serve fresh salsa bar that is second to none. Try the tortilla soup and the fresh guacamole and chips for a very flavorful, satisfying meal.

Pepper's Taqueria is a misnomer for this restaurant, since no peppers were in any of the food I had...

Although the dishes were well prepared, spices and flavors were seriously lacking. I ordered the shrimp tacos and got exactly that - thawed, dry salad shrimp on corn tortillas. No onions, cilantro, spices, sauce, nothing. The beans and guacamole sorely lacked flavor from salt to lime juice.

If highly Americanized, Mexican-inspired dishes are your preference, Pepper's is for you. Otherwise, expect to be disappointed.

Peppers is a super spot for fast mexican food at a reasonable price. Their halibut tacos are incredible! The workers are very friendly (don't be surprised if you get a discount for your next visit). The chips and salsa come with a refill of chips, choose your salsa from a variety of options. While the atmosphere is not showy, the food is good. Give it a try!

Pros: Great Food, Huge Burritos, Great Service

Cons: Closed Sundays

The prices are really reasonable and the food is excellent. Pepper's is a small, locally-owned restaurant that makes the best nachos in town. The service is fast and the people are great. My favorite place for lunch in Downtown Vancouver. They close at 8:00 P.M. and on Sundays.
