Im moving ALL my 5 children to different clinic. 9/22/2011 I called to Evergreen Ped for same day appointment. After 42 min hold I was told that nurse will call me back withing an hour and that I need to call back if I do not hear from them. No one called so I called back. When I arrived to our appointment receptionist handed me 2 forms and said this one give to the nurse in the room and this one sign and give back. I start walking to the chair to land my purse get glasses and see what Im signing. She barked "I need this NOW". I said " I do understand that but I need to see what Im signing". After visit with doctor I complained to office manager, She was unapologetic.

DO NOT USE EVERGREEN PEDIATRICS. EVER!!! I am a professional mother of 4 and I regret ever using them. First, if you call for an appointment, it takes at least 15 minutes on hold to schedule an appointment...and then the wait time to see your physician is over a month. Second, be prepared to take an entire day off of work because you will easily wait over an hour past your appointment time to see them (but of course, there is a double-standard. If YOU are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, they will send you packing and tell you to reschedule -- even if the child is seriously ill). The worst thing is that they DON'T CARE ALL AT about their lack of ability to manage their schedule and provide effective patient care. The office manger denies any issues, blames slowness on the docs...and is quite eager to suggest that you go elesewhere. Apparently, they have too much business to handle?!? Quite simply, they don't care and I wouldn't send me dog there. I suggest you find a practice that cares and treats their patients with respect!

Dr. Thompson see's both of my kids and we always had great care. The nurses are top notch and made the kids getting shots as painless as possible.

We used to see Dr. Thompson. He was kind, but I would not recommend going to Evergreen Pediatric at all if you don't vaccinate, and there are many in this region who don't. Dr. T just made me sign a waiver that listed tons of scare tactics, but another doctor we saw for my older teen asked if we wanted a flu shot. When we turned her down she looked at my baby and went into an emotionally charged accusatory panic mode. "What if something happens to your baby???!!!" She went on to say some rude comments and was disrespectful. I did not appreciate getting treated this way. Another of the providers gave us the same treatment over co-sleeping. The care was not the greatest. I felt like we weren't that important. I will say Dr Thompson and Dr Hutchinson always took us seriously and provided good care, but when sick your child has to see the dr on call for the day. So I couldn't see risking getting the other providers at times. And even Dr T said he would continue to pressure us about vaccinating. I don't mind their opinions, but we prefer having a provider who can respect our choice and treat us that way, even if they disagree. We have found a wonderful provider now who sees our whole family and none of the staff makes us feel bad for not vaccinating. In fact many of their patients don't. So if you don't mind that, Evergreen Pediatrics is okay, but for anybody who co-sleeps and/or doesn't vaccinate, keep looking.

I would not recommend Evergreen Peds. My son was admitted to the hospital for five nights with a staph infection that required IV antibiotics. We saw five different doctors from the clinic. One each day. I had to keep telling the current days' doctor what happened from the time he had the injury to the time they admitted him in the hospital and so on. We were told different things by different doctors to the point that I just didn't believe or trust that the current doctor knew what my son needed. I'm sure they all meant well, but I sure lost my confidence and worried about his care. We should have had one doctor seeing him through everything or at least being in charge of his case so there was some unity. The clinic has a choice to sign off and let a hospital doctor take over full care, but they didn't and won't. The funny thing was that my son's primary pediatrician never even showed up and this was never explained. Both of my sons have been patients at Evergreen for years and it has never been a problem. But, then we never had a major illness before either. They are not the doctors you want if your kid has something serious happen and they end up in the hospital. At this point, it has all turned out well for my son. However, we will be switching peds.

We have been going to EPC for 8 years. Dr. Fuchs came highly recommended to us while we were pregnant with our first son. After delivery Dr. Fuchs was at the hospital each day to check on our son and has been there for both my children ever since. We are very pleased with the professional staff and advice line staff. We have had the pleasure of being seen by a few other doctors in the clinic and have been just as impressed with them as we have been with our doctor. I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment or speaking to an advice nurse or doctor the same day. This Doctor and Doctors office comes Highly recommended.

Recommended to me by my OB, I adore the doctors at Evergreen! I have a great primary care physician for my two children, Dr. Donna Spence, as well as a caring support staff! They have 7 day a week appointments--unheard of!--and are always available day or night for emergencies. Their on-call staff never make you feel stupid for midnight concerns, and their new offices are bright and cheery.

What a great place for all kids!

We've been patients here for 10 years and have no complaints. I've found the staff - front desk, nurses, doctors... friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate having a nurse on-call and able to give helps over the phone. The nurse has saved me an onsite visit many times.

My children have been under the care of Dr. Kathleen Hutchinson for eleven years now. Dr. Hutchinson, with a team of 8 other Pediatrician, along with nurses, medical assistants, and office staff are absolutely wonderful. They are extremely friendly and knowledgable, and have been proactive in the field of Pediatric Medicine. I would highly recommend this clinic for any medical needs that your children may have.

Message from Evergreen Pediatric Clinic

Evergreen Pediatrics Clinic recently celebrated 25 years caring for children in Clark County. We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive medical care for your child. In order to meet this need we have moved to a larger, remodeled office suite in the Medical Center Physicians Building in Vancouver, WA.

Our group is large enough to provide evening and weekend appointments for sick children yet small enough to provide individualized attention to each patient. In addition physicians and nurses are always available by phone for emergencies or questions.

Salmon Creek location.
