I love, love, love this place!

I have always had the best experience and they are so wonderful! I get so excited to walk there and get my perfect latte every weekend!

Jill one of the owners is a doll always smiling and genuinely cares to ask how you are today!! Cloud City is one reason I??d never move from Maple Leaf.

Thank you for all your hard work amazing coffee and treats!

This place has a retro feel, and is one of those neighborhood spots where you feel like everyone knows each other. The coffee is great and the food is even better. The breads/scones/cakes are all made daily and they have very unique flavors like polenta raspberry cake or coconut walnut orange bread. I have never eaten anything there that I did not absolutely love. When it is nice outside they open up the roller doors so the entire place gets to enjoy the nice weather.

cloud City Coffee is a wonderful little neighborhood coffee shop, with a garage door style side that opens up in the hot weather. They have an extensive, carpeted toy and book area, which was a big hit with my two kids -- and also with me, since it meant I could sit at the big wooden table and chat with my friend in (relative) peace.

Their pastry case was stocked with delights, from lemon cream cheese muffins to Italian coffee cake and more. They also offer protein-rich food like turkey and swiss sandwiches, BLTs, roasted red pepper soup, and what I ended up getting: the BBQ pulled pork sandwich (with free bag of chips). I didn't actually try any coffee, so I can't comment on the quality, but I'm sure any place with "Coffee" right in the name must be able to get it right. :-)

The music is a bit on the loud side for me, and was decidedly not classical, and the square footage was a bit on the small side, but overall I would recommend Cloud City Coffee over other places I've tried.

This is an awesome coffee shop for people with kids because they have a nice kid's corner. Plus, they can open the cafe up in the summer and have super yummy food-- like their steamy hot burritos bites. You have to get one!

A great place to get a cup of coffee and maybe a pastry as well. They have a small parking lot and a place for dogs to wait outside. There are ample tables inside to spend a while savoring the coffee and catching up with friends.

My recent visit to Cloud City Coffee shocked me. I ordered Peach Muffins to go. When I arrived to work, I discovered in the box it was a pie of some sort, not the Peach Muffin I ordered. After work, I came back to Cloud City Coffee to speak with a person I got it from. A different person approached me and said that I could not park on their premises. I explained that I bought the food from them. He repeated the same phrase with a strong, angry voice. "Do not park here." He sounded like an owner of the Cafe. After he walked away, I waved to the friendly staff member I got the food from and asked him what kind of pie it was. He kindly told me it was a pineapple cream pie. I asked him what was the parking situation about. He explained that they do not want car parked while they were closing up. The angry voice coming from what sounded like an owner had changed my view of Cloud City Coffee.

My dog and I stop by this neighborhood coffee shop almost daily on our morning walks. The staff is always cheerful and friendly, and the coffee always tastes good. It feels good to support small business in my own neighborhood.

It never fails. I love cloud city coffee, I started going there about a month ago, and the barista always remembers my drink order, which is so nice to not have to talk in the early a.m. hours thanks for never letting me down.

Cons: zero!

I read good reviews and drove 15mins to try them. It was early Saturday morning, but the place was pretty crowded. Good sign. However, I was pretty disappointed that the barista had attitude ( maybe she was still waking up). I felt like I was bothering her too much by asking what types of scones they had. Coffee was just average, scone, not sure... bathroom was really dirty. Pretty big place, lots of noise. By the way, it was 5 months ago when I visited, so there is a slight chance things might have been changed.

While there are not many places to plug in your laptop, the wireless connection is decently strong, they play good music and the coffee is good. A nice place to hole up and get some work done.

There should be more like this place. Beats the name brands hands-down. Coffee is great and homemade baked items are wonderful. Order holiday pies! They are terrific!

I love going here--the staff is genuinely welcoming, they learned my name right away, and I love the food--original, flavorful, and generous portions. How can you beat home made food at a coffee shop? Most independents can't get both the coffee and food right at the same time, but this place has figured it out.

Pros: Excellent Coffee, Excellent Food

I like Cloud City and have been a customer there almost since it opened. Their coffee is wonderful - True North beans from Ballard. The baristas are, for the most part, very good at what they do, and there is a funky, comfy, eclectic atmosphere in the shop. My main complaint is with the food, which tends to be inconsistent. Some days it is phenomenal, and a great bargain for the price. Other days it is horrible - overcooked, undercooked, odd flavors, etc. and it is difficult to justify the prices. The portioning is also inconsistent, I've noticed. One day I might get a huge scone for only $2, the next day it will be a third as big. They have areas to improve, but in general this is a shop with good potential.

Cons: difficult parking, crowded, inconsistent food

The first time I walked in, I had my doubts- the place was packed, and the stollers were jamming up traffic. But after spending a few minutes, the moms settled into a kids area. There's an honor bar for drip coffee (only a buck!), so I didn't have to wait in line, and the food was cheap for gourmet-definitely not your average coffee shop swill. It all seems to be made on site, and they have the most unique flavor combinations for both baked goods and quiches. Definitely worth the trip- I'm a new regular.
