This family owned and operated spot is the real thing. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is comfortalbe and the food is great! All of the portions are more than ample. The old standards are good: enchiladas, chiles rellenos etc. My daughter loves the carne asasda, having graduated to that from the bean burritos she ate for years.
Alwlays a great place to chase away the winter blues with my favorite comfort food.

I like this cozy spot. It's only a few blocks away and you can rely on getting a table on most nights. The platters are filling (I recommend getting 2-item platters instead of 3 - for even the heartiest of appetites). They have standard beer selections (Negra Modelo, Dos Equis) that work well with the food.

Most Mexican food in Seattle hasn't gotten out of the 70's Americanization. But no need to despair, there is El Gallito. The have good portions, flavorful sauces and kick a** margaritas.
