2 Stars: Two Thumbs Down! (by Nick D.)

I went into the Chapel with high expectations and left laughing at the poor service, bad lighting, and even worse atmosphere. The drinks are over priced for how weak they are and the people are extremely rude and snobby. I don't think I've been to a worse bar/club in Seattle or even Canada for that matter. Don't go here, there's nothing great about this place except the fact that it's an old church.

PROS: Cool Setting
CONS: Everything- drinks, people, prices

4 Stars: going to chapel, and we're...gonna get pleasurable drinks (by shianxiu s.)

strangely, this bar is named the chapel. but when i think about it, i can understand why. entering in makes you feel like you are about to get married. and you really are. with the lovely drinks, of course. inside it is quite modernised with a stairway that leads to the comfort of plush couches. i remember, my first time at this bar, my boyfriend took me as soon as i arrived into seattle. and i was astounded. i could not believe that such a bar named "the chapel" would have such tasteful architecture. having a drink at this place makes me feel so relaxed because of its beauty and style.

4 Stars: Happy Hour Is Dead (in a good way) (by AGW I.)

Chapel is a very cool bar set in a former funeral home. The stone markers that used to be used to identify corpse compartments are now assembled as the main bar. But don't get me wrong, it's not a dark place. In fact, it's surprisingly bright. It's wide open setting feels airy and doesn't get smoky. But those are just minor details - what matters here is the drinks. They have an amazing array of specialty martinis that will take you awhile to work your way through. Check the website for a list. Happy Hour martinis are only $4, and they have $5-6 happy hour food that is extremely good. (Happy Hour is 5-8pm) Small upstairs seating w/loungers and couches, overlooking the rest of the bar, makes a perfect date setting. Not too noisy, not too quiet. Go. Drink. You're not dead.
