Mizuna is known more as a restaurant than a catering company (not sure why it doesn't just say Mizuna restaurant and wine bar?) but nonetheless, I am a huge fan! Great wine selection, romantic date spot, basically a perfect evening out!

I love Mizuna! With great, candlelit dinners, it's the perfect spot to take a date! It's vegetarian meals are incredible and they have a few options for the meat eaters as well. Their menu is not very big but covers a wide variety! Very good food, not too expensive! I definitely recommend eating here!

I've been two Mizune two times now, once for lunch and once for dinner and both experiences were very good. Since it is summer time we enjoyed sitting outside both times, the outdoor ambiance is very pleasant nessled between two old red brick buildings. The service we received was very good and the food was also good. At lunch I had the Mahi mahi fish tacos, the flavor was great my only criticism was that they were difficult to eat and I would have preferred the fish divided up a little more. For dinner I had the Idaho trout - it was very very good!!!! They also had live music on the patio the night we were there for dinner. Overall I would place Mizuna as one of my top three restaurants in Spokane.

Pros: Fresh, healthy flavors, good value for what you get

Cons: None from me

I love Mizuna. They have some of the best food in Spokane. I always try to go there when in town. It is right downtown and within walking distance from most of the hotels.

Gorgeous ambience. Really adorable restaurant. Chairs were a little uncomfortable, but I really enjoyed the experience. Food was delicious. Had scallops that were so tasty!!! Everything was awesome. The only thing I could complain about was the service. Hostess was grouchy and had an attitude. Our waiter was hilarious but served our soup and salad before our appetizer arrived. The bartender cleaned our table and got us more drinks...I think he forgot. Paid for our drinks though because of the mishap. Overall - awesome...but would get rid of the very tall, grouchy hostess.

Mizuna is hands down one of the best restaurants in Spokane! Originally started as a vegetarian restaurant (they probably converted many a Spokanite to going veggie with great food!) they now also serve seafood and other meats as well as vegetarian and vegan options. (Meat dishes are always prepared separately in the kitchen so vegans or others with meat restrictions can rest assured.) Menu changes weekly and focuses on local fresh produce.

They also have an extensive wine list and servers are knowledgeable enough to make great recommendations.

Atmosphere is intimate and comfortable and the exposed brick walls and candlelight create a warm ambience. During the summer you can also dine on the patio.

Service is friendly and efficient but not overbearing in any way. Just the way I prefer it for a nice date night dinner.

If you're looking for a great place for a romantic dinner or even a fun get together with friends Mizuna will accommodate you comfortably.

If you like great food and good atmosphere without any snootiness this is the place for you.

(I take everyone from out of town here and they've all been very impressed and enjoyed it immensely.)

PROS: great food, wine, service and atmosphere-- did I mention the food?!
CONS: not open on Sunday; lunch menu is limited (but still good)

Mizuna is a good and interesting restaurant in downtown Spokane that serves only
vegetarian foods. I have only eaten here a couple times, but the food was
always good. It's not really cheap, but it's not too expensive, especially at
lunch time. If you're looking for somewhere in the area where you can get good
food without eating meat, Mizuna is definitely a good place to check out.

The food is delectable, the wait staff is delightful and the atmosphere is sensuous! They serve non-vegetarian food as well. I had the hormone free steak! It was the most delightful and flavorful steak I have had in years!

This place is one of the best eats in Spokane. They specialize in vegetarian food. I always think I need some meat on my plate. I'll tell you though when you eat here the meals are great, even without meat in them. The only problem is when it is open... The food is exquisite and the service is always just right. Their schedule though is so quirky that after a couple years I still can't figure out what day's/times they will be open (it goes something like open for lunch, then closed till later, then open on some days and closed on others - you never can tell...). If you are lucky enough to catch them when they are open though the food is great.

This is a place to go if you want to dine out - it's an experience, not a place to grab food. Although good food is important to a restaurant - it's not everything

Light and airy, the decor proves the simple is the most elegant. The staff is NOT overly solicitous - You can actually hold a conversation without being interupted every 10 seconds. The atmosphere is adult - it's a place to enjoy other's company and have a nice evening.

The food is wonderfully prepared and delicious. It's light, yet filling and wonderful to explore.
