The MarQueen is an old hotel near the Space Needle and a lot of other touristy-type attractions. I like old, vintage type buildings, so I was pretty excited about staying here. However, I was very disappointed with my stay.

To begin with, it is located on a busy intersection with traffic constantly whizzing by. There is no parking readily available. I did not know the area at all, and being a woman by myself, I didn't want to go searching. I chose to do valet parking (which I misread on the website as for "free", not for a "fee") and nobody bothered to let me know that it would be a cost to me. The hotel clerks were nice enough, but when asked about a specific type of restaurant in the area, they did not know the name nor give very clear instructions how to get to it.

The hotel room was average, nothing spectacular, and poorly set up. I had been up very early that morning, drove 3 hours to Seattle and sat in a conference all day. When I got there, I was hoping for a relaxing evening, zoning out in bed watching cable. However, I ended up with a sore neck because I could only see the tv from one position. There is no way more than one person would have been comfortable watching tv in bed. In addition, my room was located on the west side of the building. There is a noisy, party-type bar/restaurant across the street that had a long line of noisy, probably drunk, people waiting to get in at 12am. Because of the age of the building, it is not well insulated and I could hear the people out on the street, not to mention the man who sneezed in the room next to mine. I had to get up early the next morning to return to my conference. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night.

I would definitely not recommend staying in this hotel if you want a quiet, relaxing experience.

Pros: location to some attractions

Cons: parking, cost for what you get, NOT quiet, not a room to hang out in

I come to Seattle frequently on business and I usually stay at a downtown name brand hotel like the Crown Plaza but I decided to branch out and tried this place. What a great find. It has the feeel of a historical hotel in a great neighborhood location. The room was more like an efficiency apartment with a kitchen including a full-size fridge, sink amd microwave. I will definitely be returning!

I have had many a facial in my day. Nothing even remotely compares to the facials I receive from Lauren Sterling, the owner of La Pelle. My skin has never looked better. It's firmer, clear of blemishes, smooth and glowing. I never thought my skin could look so good. For several months, I went to SkinLogic in Greenlake, but failed to see results. I've been to Ummelina, Habitude and Robert Leonard. None are as good as Lauren. She's incredible! Once you have a facial with her, you will never trust your skin to anyone else.

I am another (from East side of State) guest of the Mar Queen, reluctant to give out the secrets of this charming and friendly hotel. We love the location , the big bright comfortable rooms (we can walk to downtown Seattle) the staff and the beautiful restored hotel. it's an A+++ Can't wait for our next stay.

This quiet little hotel sits at the base of Seattle's Queen Anne district. Located in a historic 1918 building, it has a traditional ambience that suits its surroundings-Queen Anne is one of the city's most established neighborhoods. High…
