Dreaming

Small local gaming store, but always well-stocked and willing to order anything they don't have on hand. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and whether you are a long time geek or new to the hobby, you will feel at home right away. Laid back atmosphere and in shop networking board for gamers seeking groups and groups seeking gamers. My first stop for all gaming purchases and last stop for most.

I have been going to the Dreaming for a while now for comics and gaming books. The owner is a great guy who is willing to help you find what you want and order it if he does not have it in stock. The store is small, but the atmosphere let you know that the owner loves what he is doing.

I decided to get on the wagon late when it came to a few different comic series, but the owner was willing to order a larger number of older comics specifically for me because the issues were old enough (more that a two years) that he didn't have them on hand.

In addition to the large assortment of comics, it has a wide variety of gaming books, card and board games based on different comic series, and assorted gaming/comic paraphernalia.

The dreaming is an independent game and comic store owned by someone who loves games and comics. He's a font of information, not just about his stock, but about the booming Seattle gaming business and local scene. This store makes a concerted effort to keep some of the more difficult to find games in stock. It's also a great place to hob nob with local gamers and comc fans.

PROS: amazing stock
CONS: none to speak of
