Good Food

by Gar L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,793

Dicks drive in is by far one of the best burger joints in Seattle. Reason being the price and the service. Powered by a large team of enthusiastic people, dicks provides good food at great prices. Their strawberry milkshake is so good. If you are hungry, low on cash, and don't feel like Mcdonalds, Dicks is the way to go.

Cheap greasy and good!

by Rachael B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,486

Sometimes you just want some greasy yummy food. Dick's is your answer. Their burgers are a Seattle tradition. And the milkshakes are great. Remember if you want ketchup it will cost you a wopping 5 cents! Grab a burger fries and rootbeer float and travel back in time.

PROS: The prices!

Perfect Burgers and Shakes

by Heather M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,303

I usually go to the Wallingford location and take my burger down to Gasworks for a little picnic - but each location has the same great food and super fast friendly service!

You don't get special orders. Eat it like it comes! And that's fine because it's SO good! These aren't dinky little McyD's burgers. These are real burgers! The fries and shakes are homemade too! Where else can you still get a "hand dipped" milkshake? Or how about a rootbeer float with HARD ice cream?

Just try it - you will love it!

Cheap Eats for the Late Night

by Anonymous

This is the place to grab a late night snack. Cheap burgers and fries. The root beer floats are awesome. Unfortunately, the food is unhealthy and greasy. Though how can you resist. I would recommend this place to eat once in awhile. Service is fast and there's lots of parking.

Great greasy food!

by Anonymous

Dick's Drive-In is a great place to get greasy, fulfilling food! It's perfect for a cold, rainy day, when all you need is some warm, comfort food. Dieters beware! Not low-carb, low-fat dishes here! You can enjoy a classic burger, with those hard to find curly fries. I recommend their milkshakees!

A Seattle Tradition

by M A. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 65

Fast food - good burgers, fries, and shakes at most hours of the day, and the prices are very low. Makes you feel like you are at a 50's drive-in - all that is missing is the order-takers on roller skates.

This chain is kind of like the "In-n-Out" of Washington.

PROS: Tasty, cheap
CONS: Unhealthy

Best place for quick burgers

by Sara G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,061

I'm not a huge hamburger fan these days, as I am watching my weight and trying to eat healthier. But I have my weak moments when I break down and crave cheeseburgers. As Dicks is perfect for me in my times of need. Their burgers are way better than McDonalds or Jack in the Box, and their shakes and fries are delicious. And eating here won't cost much.

I usually order the deluxe burger, which is totally worth the buck in cost for the lettuce and mayo.

Yuck!

by Jennifer B. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,560

I can not stand Dick's drive in. The food is greasy and nearly always makes me sick. I can not recommend this to any other person. Sorry.

Up late want something

by Amanda M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,696

This is a great place to be able to get a burger early in the morning or late night. When I work late night I love to be able to go here and get the best late night burger. There is always a line that I have seen there, I am not sure I have been there when there hasn't been a line, but it is well worth the wait.

A Seattle Original - good burgers, shakes and fries

by Peter H. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,577

So where do you find a long line for burgers at 11 AM and 2 AM? It would have to be Dick's, which seems to be Seattle's answer to White Castle. Pretty good, straightforward burgers, very good fries, and outstanding shakes. I didn't grow up with it, so it just seems like good burgers to me, but watch the lines, and you know it's just in some people's blood. It's fun too, and the service is awesomely quick. They have a great reputation for taking care of their workers and it shows in the good customer service. Many Seattle locations.

You smell it, you know what it'll be like

by Katie C. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,230

My boyfriend and his friends make it a regular sport to stop by Dicks and eat a whole bag of hamburgers and fries after they've been out on the town. I can't do this (how many girls can?) because I would feel much worse than if I didn't eat anything. The food is really greasy, but unfortunately, it tastes pretty good and continues to attract people all the more.

Dick's is a wonderful Seattle tradition!

by Diana W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,097

I can't imagine Seattle without Dick's drive in. Not only is it extremely affordable, but it's very unique. Everytime I've spent a few hours on Broadway in and out of my favorite shops a stop at Dick's is a must. I'll never forget the time I saw an interview on a national TV program where Bill Gates was being interviewed and it was at Dick's on Broadway! That just goes to show that everybody eats at Dick's. Their milkshakes are hard to beat and the burgers are the bomb!

There's nothing more fun than a Saturday night out on the town, especially when there is good cheap food to be had. Dick's provides the great old-time drive in feel with good food at good prices. A fun place to meet friends, hang out, and snag a snack,Dick's is a Seattle favorite.
