Peninsula Glass

I ordered a custom piece of glass from Peninsula Glass and asked for 2 day shipping. A week later, the glass had not arrived, because the person who took the order, "Jeff", shipped it to the wrong address and the glass was returned to the company. I called the company to address this issue, and "Christine" was very rude, wouldn't listen to me, instead, she said she would cancel my order and refund my card, then SLAMMED the phone down in my ear. When I called back, "Joe" HUNG UP on me! On my third call, a person claiming to be the owner answered and was very understanding and told me he would make sure it was resolved and call me back. After waiting 2 days, I called back. Again "Christine" answered the phone and told me that the order was cancelled and that they would not do business with me. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said that she was the MANAGER and that the owner was out of town for the week. I am hoping that this will be resolved to my satisfaction, but I would not recommend doing business with this company!

Our Safari Trek had some awful OEM windows with horrible snaking of the seal in its double-pane windows. The original manufacturer of the window is apparently out of business and the factory just told me to get some windows custom made. Yikes! That sounded expensive and sure enough, I got a sky-high quote from a local RV dealer to replace the windows. I heard about Peninsula glass on an RV forum and when I found out they were close by in Vancouver, I gave them a call. Best idea I had all year.

Not only was their price half of what the RV dealer quoted me for the worst window, they had built replacement windows for my exact make and model before. Even better, they suggested a design change that improves visibility compared to the stock window. These windows are not cheap (even at half the price) but they are excellent quality. It was snowing slightly the day I brought my coach in for the driver side window. I hung out in the warm shop all morning as they did the replacement, and it was not an easy job from the look of it. The technician was friendly and conscientious and I was out of there with great new window by lunchtime. I have a couple more windows that still OK but deteriorating - I now know where I will be going to get them replaced. One less thing to worry about.
