Everything went smoothly, starting with the financing all the way throught the delivery and set up. Installed a dishwasher for us after delivery, was a little worried about it all getting done quick enough for me to move into the home the same time I retired. They handled it all very well and considering all the bad weather we had, they got it done right. The crew was courteous, professional and performed quality work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that is planning to buy a manufactured home.

Pros: Great Customer Service

Cons: Some communities don't allow MFG homes

Considering our 98% level of customer satisfaction, and piecing together the below comments from Janisdoe, Darryle, Jacksondarryle and deejaysalot, it appears that all the postings are by the same person. This person has told only half-truths and diffused the real issue by positioning good comments with bad comments, just to make the postings appear valid.

The facts remain that in all the 17 years that Superior Homes has been in business, we have never been sued once by a customer because of a service, ethics or product issue.

We follow up each contractual installation with customer satisfaction calls and if something needs to be addressed, we??ll correct it to full customer satisfaction. Any issues covered by our purchase contract are our responsibility and are addressed promptly and without delay. Sometimes sub-contractors, who might have several jobs going at the same time, could cause an unfortunate delay with a project. This is not our intention and when we learn that this causes a problem, we see to it that the sub-contractor or contact person is no longer part of our team.

The customer in question made several non-contractual requests and demands that he wouldn??t additionally pay for. Since we pride ourselves in our good service and our word, we did the job. In this case, he wanted it ??good, cheap, and fast.? Pick a combination of two. He picked good and cheap. We gave him what he requested.

Overall, we lost $4,000.00 on the whole package, and still gave the customer what he wanted. You would think that at least he would be grateful and thank us for receiving all those free upgrades, with labor included. For us, it was a lesson well learned.

Pros: Excellent customer service, ethics, homes

Cons: Everyone wants lower prices on the homes

This where my husband bought our first home (manufactured). The staff is nice but weren't honest to my husband. The homes are nice and deceiving. But don't buy a manufactured home unless you have your own property to put it on. Putting your home on rental property is not all that great.

I was displeased with the quality of construction of my home. From the baseboards to the carpeting, from the outside painting to the crookedness of the cabinets...it seemed like everything was done as cheaply as possible. It looked very amateur. They had to come back numerous times to fix the same problems...leaks, especially. Also, the construction took much longer than we were told. It took months longer than we were told, so we ended up paying thousands of dollars in double house payments while we were waiting. Our house sat with no work being done for days on end. It appeared that we were just a side job so when someone had time, they would come and work a little on our house here and there...while we were paying...
The contractor was not honest with us.
The concrete cracked in a few short months.
Please, please, if you are considering using them, after seeing this, make them give you references...see if they have good ones. Also, get timelines down in writing with penalties for not going within the timelines....THIS IS CRUCIAL! Otherwise, you'll be stuck like we were. We don't want anyone else going through what we went through.
Thank you.

I was totally disappointed in the quality of the construction procedures. They seemed to be very disorganized. Many of the contractors had to return to 'do over' their work. The general contractor appeared to me to have very little if any control of the contractors. Days and weeks went by between some of the different phases of the construction. To me....his word meant nothing, when he would tell me the advance daily plans of the construction. There was always an excuse for something either being done late or not at all. I will never recommend Superior Homes to anyone. I will however recommend against anyone using their services.

Cons: poor site work contractor

Said they will really try to push getting this done...(getting the home ready for moving in) Just about every phase of the construction has had some sort of delay. The contractor seems to always have an excuse for the delay......always the other guys fault......My project appears to be just another project. Sometimes on the back burner. The home will go days without something being done to ready it for completion. Sometimes setting idle..days at a time...what ever happened to..."I'm really going to push to get it done"???. Would I recommend them? NO WAY!!!!!!!

Mr Hennings.....you say I made several non contractual requests? When I came to your showroom and we discussed my new home and the upgrades....I bought what your people suggested. I asked you for a price. You gave me a price. the only upgrade that was not in the original aggreement was the water heater. Your staff told me that the heater for the hottub would heat the water. The heater heats the water two degrees per hour. With the tub being almost 100 gallons and the water heater being 40 gallons at 115 degrees, the water temp in the full tub was about 75 degrees. To heat the water to 102 degrees it would take almost a day. Your staff agreed that I needed an 80 gallon water heater. I agreed to pay the difference between what I had and what you traded to. As to the several non contractual requests......Please, tell me what they were. Everything that was done was on paper....Maybe its because we had to have your people come back many times to do the job right. Whether it was the carpet that was poor, or the paint inside on the ceiling that had to be done 3 times, or both showers that leaked into the walls two different times, or the dishwasher that leaked from underneath. Or the refridgerator that quit working.Please...tell me what request or demands I made. As far as good cheap and fast.....I bought a home that was sold as a good home. I shopped and found the best price....I wanted it done in a timely manner. As far as the job......we had to live in our new home while you built the garage. We had to wade through the mud everyday. There were days, even weeks that went by without any work being done on our garage. Your contractor always had an excuse as to why things werent getting done. We even had to pick up our final permit from the county because your staff didnt do it. It sat at the county office for two days waiting to be picked up. If we didnt pick up the permit and get it to the bank that very day, the bank was going to close the deal and we would have had to start over. As far as your LOSS....we had to make payments on this new home as well as payment on our old home because we couldnt move in. We lost money too. As for your lesson well learned...it works both ways . I will never recommend your Superior Homes to anyone. Yes, IT WAS A LESSON WELL LEARNED.
