Cool looking place. Part of the "Old Seattle" that is quickly disappearing.  4 Star Rating - Very good

From the whitewashed exterior of the old building, to the neon signage, to the iced beds of seafood, (they've got more of everything than Safeway, QFC, or Costco - and it is all super-fresh), to the "down-home" small-town friendly service - this place looks and feels like you've stepped into a time-warp: it has not changed in decades. Regrettably, you can just about predict that the City of Seattle will tax the hell out of the property owners, they will be forced to tear down everything as a sacrifice to the God of gentrification, and this wonderful family business will be no more. Until then, buy your fish and seafood there to try and stave off seeing another cookie-cutter condominium highrise with a bank and a Starbucks on the first floor.

great seafood and great people  5 Star Rating - World class

When I first moved to Seattle, I knew nothing about seafood. I started going to this store, and the people working there were always extremely friendly to me. I, of course, came to love salmon and halibut, and this is one of my favorite places to buy seafood. They always have fresh high-quality food.

Well stocked family run  4 Star Rating - Very good

A newer discovery to our family having always been faithful to trips to the Pike Place Market. Fresh fish and poultry offered just off the Ave in the University District. Stop by after the University Farmer's Market to embellish whatever fresh goods you've picked up. Well-informed, smiling staff will help you and answer all your questions. Hopefully this type of place is not a dying breed to super shops (a la Costco)!
